Aero Rent-A-Car

This is an update to a previous 1 star review. I wish I could give them negative stars because that’s what they deserve. Probably the worst customer service (or lack thereof) around. I decided to give them another try 4 years later because they do have specialized cars that you really can’t find most anywhere else. However, their rudeness had gotten even worse – which I thought was impossible. They literally cannot be bothered. There has to be another option out there if you are in need of a specialized car because this place is the worst. Horrible people that run it and work there.

Good experience.
I came to Aero after getting burned twice on reservations with Avis and Budget. Two times, I booked a smallish SUV, and two times they tried to give me a giant Ford 4Runner. And they had nothing else in stock either.
Aero was open on Sunday with a good selection available. Pickup and turn in were all hassle-​free and straightforward.

Simply put, when I called, they have no compacts, no mid-​sized cars and only full sized cars. People who say they are better than the national chains better have a good argument for not having a single compact or mid sized car until September.
How can I rent a car when none are available. Seems like a problematic business model to me. A car rental place that has no cars to rent… Geeze.

So far so good.
I was in a bind when my car blew the lower radiator hose about a mile away.
Since this place was pretty close I hoofed my way over and tried to get situated.
Once walking into the office I asked for a European car– unfortunately all they had was a BMW Z3 for $ 100 a day.
I passed on that and asked to walk the lot. A Toyota, Nissan and Ford was all they really had left– unless I wanted an Urban Assault Vehicle… which I passed on as well since I’m used to a 2 door vehicle that gets 30mpg.
No pressure to get into any specific model.
The guys worked with me and I was able to put down a cash deposit along with a card.
I only wanted the vehicle for one day to see what the ETA would be on my daily driver getting fixed. I found out I needed the rental for at least 4 days and drove back to Aero. Luckily all they had to do was update my paperwork and I was back on the road.
I guess I’ll see what I think after I return the car next week.

Quick and easy service. I walked up there and had a key in my hand within 5 minutes. The car I had was satisfactory and they accommodated me changing my reservation twice!
I recommend them and will certainly use them in the future.

They were fantastic when I was in a bind for a car for two days for a inexpensive price. Definitely appreciated that they picked me up and dropped me off at the garage where my car was being repaired as well!

I love renting from Aero (other than the fact that when I rent a car it means something happened to my own). They are very helpful, knowledgeable, have the best prices and have good cars. I have always gotten the car I wanted and there were never any «surprises» in the bill. I especially like the fact that you can drop off after hours with no extra fee or worry.

The best price around for renting 12 passenger vans bar none. We rented two for our wedding so that less people would be driving between events drunk. The vans were awesome. Clean and comfortable seating, decent engine and acceleration, and surprisingly a decent radio and climate control. We accidentally gave them a card that didn’t work for the amount of the rental and they called us and we were able to use a different one free of extra charges. I wasn’t pressured for extra insurance or other add-​ons when we picked them up and overall it was a good experience.
I will say I wasn’t impressed by their website or store, but it really all comes down to the vehicle and the price and those were right on. :)

Horrible place, rude people, dumpy cars and a rip off. Try another place before you go here. I tried to cancel 3 days in advance and they charged me 80 bucks. Anyway I called Avis in the Sears around the corner and they were much cheaper. This place has too many add on’s and you do not get unlimited miles. So really it is not cheaper.

The last time my parents were in town visiting, we needed to rent an SUV or mini-​van to accomodate them and my own family, and I called all around the eastide, pricing these vehicles from differect rental companies. I called 6 or 7 different companies, and this rental business offered the best price by far. Not only the best price, but their hours for pick up and drop off were better, and they were the friendliest on the phone to deal with (and in person, too).
I was very impressed with the vehicle we got, and the whole experience was totally hassle-​free. I have recommended this rental company to friends, and if ever the need arises again, I would use them in a heartbeat.

I just rented a 12 passenger van for two days, price was 100 a day — very competitive. The van had 40k miles and it was new, clean and ran very well. I didn’t have too much trouble driving and parking it– didn’t hit anything!
My lil sister, the Bride decided she wanted a carefree unscheduled day of wine tasting so we ditched the chauffeured bus and went this route, since I am cutting back on my drinking anyway.
From reservation, to rental and return the service they provided was awesome and perfect, no surprises, very professional and reasonable. I will happily refer friends and family there. They have several vans available and I think they are probably considered a secret gem of the area for those seeking larger vans on short notice.

I would say Aero Rent A Car is a very nice car rental company. Low rate, decent car, if you don’t care their mileage limit (okay for daily transportation). They don’t care much about minor scratches, so their return process is really quick. Gotta love it!

I needed cargo van and at the very last minute I found Aero Rent-​A-​Car. They provided the best price, same day rental and the easiest service. I have never dealt with a car rental place that got me in and out the door in 5 minutes without any hassle or added fees. I love this place and will use them with any car rental needs in the Seattle area in the future.

The car was good, the service was disgusting. My wife rang the manager to complain as there was a 9 $ charge on our card for incidentals. Apparently when refilling the gas and waiting for the gas pump to click does not mean the car is full. Er, sorry but in everyone else’s world it does. If you car is not reading as full then that is your issue. Not only that, but then to have an attitude down the phone when we complain is disgraceful. Currently talking to the Better Business Bureau.
AVOID!!! Pay that tiny bit extra to get a good service from somewhere like enterprise or a well established chain.

We went to rent a car from Aero Car Rental, not only was the place a dump but the two «kind and friendly» gentlemen were extremely rude and condescending. The car was a beat up heinous KIA. No thanks. I would rather walk to Seattle and back every day than EVER go their «establishment» again.
ZERO stars. Lame experience all around.

Want a rental car after 5PM on a weekday? Well it seems Aero is your only choice. Thankfully they also rock.
Years ago I had an accident and my insurance company was paying for a rental car. They stuck me with Enterprise. I was living in Fremont with no off-​street parking. I can not parallel park to save my life. Enterprise claimed that in the entire greater Seattle area the smallest car they could give me was a Suburban. I told them to stick it and went with Aero. Aero saved the day with a nice little hatchback that I could actually fit on my street.
This last week my car decided to have it’s whole electrical system blow up on me, it was after 5PM and I had a 9 AM job interview the next day. We were down the street from a major chain but it was no use, they were gone for the day. Thankfully I remembered Aero. There were no giant piles of paperwork and no line at all. Within 5 minutes of walking in the door I walked out with a Mazda 6 for 3 days for $ 99 after taxes and fees. The day was saved again, I didn’t have to go home and learn stick so I could make it to the job interview.
It has always been a complete lack of a hassle dealing with Aero, I couldn’t recommend them more.

The good — a low price
The bad — website does not accept reservations, you are asked to give your credit card info over the phone to reserve a vehicle, you are presented with a blank credit card receipt to sign that has your card embossed on it for deposit, though I paid for gas on return of the vehicle they wanted to charge me for an additional gallon of gas (for top off)

I rented a car from Aero for the entirety of last summer while I was interning in the Seattle area. I highly recommend this car rental place. FIrst of all (and probably most importantly to some of you), because they are very well-​priced. I was renting a Honda Accord 2009 for $ 450/​mo and then switched to a Kia Accent for $ 400/​mo. (with 10 cents per mile over 400)
The people that work there were also very lenient on when I had to pay my next month’s rent. Additionally, my roommate had gotten in a car accident with the Honda Accord (completely not his fault) and the people there could not have been more understanding! They did not fine us at all and immediately set us up with a new car. The other party involved with the accident paid for everything but this situation could have been significantly more complicated but Aero made it very easy for us.
I highly recommend this place!

I’m not finished dealing with them, so I have to say that up front.
We rented a mid-​size car from them last week for $ 165 weekly rate, and we took it back today to rent it out another week (we had the great fortune of totaling our car last week). So far, they’re great! We’re in a Kia Spectra, and it’s nice and clean. My only complaint about the entire experience is that the car smells slightly of smoke… but, the price makes up for it. Can anybody else rent me a car for 165 a week + taxes (total of about 196 a week)? NOPE.
I’ll take Aero over any car rental place, any day.

Great to use Unilocal to locate a reasonably priced rental car agency that picks me up from my hotel! Perfect! I just needed this car for a couple of days to get to and from Seatlle and maybe over to Kirkland for a look-​see.
I like to use independent service providers if possible to help out the small business owner when ever I can.
BONUS: Use their service to pick you up and drop you off at the SEA/​TAC airport! Save the big $$$‘s for a taxi or town car. This indie provider can meet your needs for a basic or exclusive ride. Remember, I told ya so! ;)
