I called Craig & Sons to help take care of a huge spider problem since I live in a canyon. Mainly Wolf Spiders which are the worst!!! The office lady was very helpful and informative. She educated me in what I can do to help prevent the spiders from invading my house. The worker came out in a timely manner on scheduled appointment and was very professional. I would recommend there service to all friends and family having any pest problems. =]

We found what we suspected to be a bed bug, an identification corroborated only by Internet image searches and our cursory and fear-​infused knowledge of the ubiquitous creatures. We immediately texted our landlords and included a picture of the dead bug, and they contacted Craig & Sons. On the tech’s first inspection, he found no evidence whatsoever of bed bugs (although did mistake a piece of fuzz for one… twice). He asked me no questions regarding the behavior of the bug, nor was he interested in viewing its carcass because he had already seen a texted pic of it. Now, in my paranoia-​driven compulsive research, I’ve learned more about bed bugs than I ever would’ve liked to, and that includes the fact that bed bugs, bat bugs and birds bugs (all very common) are virtually indistinguishable to the naked (and untrained) eye. However, they do vary in their habits — for example, «When bed bugs are probed or otherwise disturbed, they move rapidly and erratically, clinging to surfaces. Conversely, the slightest disturbance of bat bugs causes them to drop instantly from the substrate, become immobile and retract their legs as if dead» (
). Now, let me explain our experience with the bug in question: On the first night, my husband got 2 bites. Two nights later, he caught the bug in the act of biting his arm while we (both awake) watched TV around 9 p.m. The bug fell from him, and lay still on the throw pillow as we turned on the lights and had a conversation about what it was. Next, we moved the pillow (with the bug atop) from the couch to the table, and then my husband went to get a piece of toilet paper with which to smash and kill it, while it remained strangely patient for him to return from the bathroom. I repeat, it was barely moving, and was curled up almost like a roly poly. Furthermore, I’ve torn my house and everything in it apart searching for signs of bed bugs and have found nothing.
Here is what transpired after the tech’s inspection: He confidently (and instantly) confirmed that the bug was a bed bug, and recommended to our landlords a localized treatment (sprays), for which they scheduled us. Upon hearing the date of the appointment right up until the tech walked in our door, I worked to do the proper preparation to make it as effective as possible. Bed bug treatment is complicated. You don’t just cover your food and go hang out at a Hilton until it’s done; you basically have to move out of your home, wash EVERYTHING on high heat and high dry, bag EVERYTHING, put EVERYTHING outside in the sun, and so on (and I had to do this in 100-​degree weather while caring for a small child and with 2 days’ notice).
The tech had given me a preparation checklist xeroxed from a third-​party company that was a brief and unclear list of instructions that seemed not to even apply directly to the specific treatment we were going to be getting. I called the tech twice with a long list of questions, which were responded to with seeming indifference and brevity that created more confusion than it cleared up – nonchalance and condescension are not the most pleasing tones to hear when already on the verge of a breakdown due to the nature of the whole ordeal at hand (as I imagine many, if not most, clients facing a bed-​bug scare are). Two more calls to the tech went unanswered and unreturned. I waited at my apartment until he arrived and walked through every room before asking if he needed anything else from me, and he said no. However, apparently he mentioned to our landlords when he was leaving that we hadn’t prepared properly, yet he could never be reached to elaborate.
The discovery of an alleged bed bug in someone’s home is a traumatic experience unto itself, and the prep work involved in treatment is daunting and mentally and physically taxing, so negligence, unanswered questions, ambiguity, and unreturned calls compound the frustration already inherent in the situation. After all this, the insinuation of my noncompliance, especially to my landlords, when we weren’t guided in a helpful and professional manner nor told directly about any deviation from instruction despite our efforts to make contact was unacceptable.
Whether our bug was a bed bug, bat bug or other is not something that we can prove now, and I understand the choice to proceed with the utmost caution (even if he had known one bug from another), but the fact that Craig & Sons’ bed-​bug specialist had no knowledge of common alternate possibilities nor cared to acquire information on the bug is disconcerting, to say the least. It seems pretty sloppy that Craig & Sons wouldn’t bother to train their «bed-​bug guy» in some basic entomology directly related to his specialty, or customer service skills for that matter.
Bed-​bug cases should be handled with more care and better communication considering the high level of stress the situation places on the client (and the high cost of treatment).

We had a year of earwigs and spiders with our previous pest control company. We should have gone with Craig & Sons sooner, but the other company hit us door-​to-​door when we’d recently moved in. We have a field to one side of our property, so bugs will always be around, but they’ve been outside only since we started their service.

There is absolutely NOTHING bugging me or my wife anymore — not since this fantastic team arrived on the scene. We used to have a problem with spiders, earwigs, silverfish and ants, but no longer. They were gone after the initial treatment. Sure, every once in a blue moon we can see a critter who is stupid enough to enter my castle, but it is quickly dispatched with efficient glee. Now, every 3 months the team comes by for another treatment inside and outside our home — accomplished in minutes. The service is very affordable. I know if I stay ahead of the curve by using this company, I’ll remain in a state of «Nothing’s bugging me.» I can’t recommend them more highly. They’re not just efficient, but very polite and professional. You’re making a HUGE mistake if you go elsewhere.

We have had service with Craig & Sons for nearly three years. We had a horrendous ant and spider problem and were beyond pleased Craig & Sons has handled this since day one! The only downside to our three years with the company is that in that time, we have had several different people service our home. There has even been a time last summer when we requested a follow up in the 30 days guarantee and the sprayer charged us but said, «I am supposed to come out next week anyway, so I will just leave a bill and call it done for next month.» Even when this happened to us, we paid the bill and didn’t complain because Craig & Sons takes care of the problem pests, and that is what we care about!
A few months ago, I called to request a new person to service our home due to the lack of professionalism of the most recent sprayer. Our sprayer was a little odd, which is not a problem, but started behaving in even weirder ways: such as dressing in crazy costumes when it was not Halloween, calling to say he was coming then either not showing up or coming hours and hours later than promised, knocking on our door to say he was leaving then asking personal questions, and parking in our driveway and blocking other cars. When the request was made, the female over the phone was not happy to change at our request and reluctantly did so at my urging. This is apparent in not only her tone, but in her insisting that the current sprayer was «a funny guy» and «I think he is funny» and «well I like his sense of humor but you don’t so I will change your sprayer.» This ultimately began a series of problems for us. I was very kind when I gave my reasons why I wanted a new sprayer, and have never called to complain or request anything before this time.
As a customer, I never complained when the company changed sprayers on us without talking to us about it, and when it is my choice to request someone else, why is there a problem? I do not think this should be an issue at all! Luckily, the new sprayer on our property is a supervisor and has done an excellent job-​even removing cobwebs and doing other things which all of the other sprayers did not complete, and he admitted they should have been doing that for three years. We were very happy with this sprayer-​but then he had to mention to my husband that I called and made a request to change sprayers. Apparently, the discussion about the reasons why I requested a new sprayer and the logic behind my request was an issue and had to be brought up the first time the wonderful sprayer came to the house. Additionally, the new sprayer has come two times since the change and called this month to tell us he will not be out because we are three months past due on our billing. We pay auto-​billing through our credit union and have had to look up and justify all of our payments. Craig & Sons is wrong; we are caught up on our billing, but there was confusion between the February and March payments due to some additional treatments of $ 275.00 we requested for termites. So, we will pay our last month of service and be done with this company. I do not want to continue a business relationship with a business which will give grief over a simple request and keep talking about it with my husband, or who isn’t able keep accurate billing records. They do a great job at keeping pests away, but they lack proper book-​keeping, professionalism and customer service skills.

I am a local Realtor and this company is amazing! Always easy to schedule, comes on time and inspectors are always so great and full of knowledge. I won’t use any other company with my business! Receptionists/​Schedulers are great and so sweet. Craig and Sons always goes above and beyond for me and my clients! Thank you so much for making my job easier Craig and Son’s!

Super Good Service Starting with Office Staff and ends with Juan. Had a Ant problem for 3Years they came out and inspected the house and I have no problems

So we called this company out and were very satisfied with their promptness in coming out to inspect our home (½ star). We informed them that they could remove as much of the superficial wrap on our support posts as necessary to assure that we would either have the confidence to keep or replace the support posts. They removed some of the superficial wood, treated the post, and assured us that these weight bearing posts were solid and that we could wrap them with the fiberglass column wraps as soon as we’d like to. So they were paid and when we unveiled the remainder of the support post… well, it was far from structurally sound! Of the four bolts that were in the two brackets, only 1 ½ bolts were still touching any wood. One of their employees came back out, looked at the post, and conveyed how bad he felt about the situation and that he would look into the cost of replacing the posts and use the money we paid to go toward that cost (½ star). Needless to say we never got a call back and when we called and spoke to a manager, he said they couldn’t be held responsible for it. We will never use this company again!!!

Gopher problem! Hated it, someone referred Craig & Sons, totally awesome and very reasonable! Frank super friendly guy. I totally recommend them.

Ok so this review is a little overdue.
Had a small snag with the company several months ago, but Christine reached out to me and offered to resolve the problem. They made up for everything and more.
Bryce and Ryan have been very professional, courteous, and prompt. They communicate well and immediately address any and all pest issues (spiders, ants, gophers, etc.). They were willing to work with my schedule and now have me on a regular monthly service.

We used this company for over two years. We were very happy in the beginning and chose them as they are a local, family-​owned business. Over the last 6 – 9 months, the guy would come and spray and be at our house for literally 4 minutes; no sweeping only a very quick spray. We called to express our concerns and they sent out someone to take pictures and see what our concerns were. The supervisor showed up reeking of cigarette smoke. He even had the pack of cigs dangling in his shirt pocket. We had cobwebs along the eves, along the edge of the house, etc. The whole time he was there «hearing» my concerns he was justifying why his guy was doing his job correctly (why come out and act like you care?!). He said he would spray and sweep today for free and that we would never have shoddy service again. He began spraying and a black window ran out from under the door towards him! We have since cancelled as the service never improved.

Very pleased with this company. Donald came out to do an inspection, and I was shocked with how thorough he was. He is also very knowledgeable about all the different insects that are apparently living in my house rent-​free. I would highly recommend this company if you want an inspection with your best interest at heart. We even tried to tip him and he respectfully refused.

I would like to give a big THANK YOU to Brian, Kevin, Martin and the rest of their crew in turning a very bad situation into a positive. Through the entire process Kevin was on hand making sure everything was spot on. What a wonderful company, thank you again…

Worst termite company ever. Because they are heavily advertised I tried them for inspection on an escrow. They came back with some spot treatment bids but didn’t look at the crawl space and attic. I had them come out again, and this time they said the whole building needed tenting because they found some old termite droppings in the attic. Well, the house was built in 1896. It surely has some iver 120 years. They said it didn’t have any live infestation but they had to tent because of the droppings. The bid was over $ 3K!!! I ended up using a Orange Oil place, got the 2 year warranty and escrow cert. for $ 1109 and didn’t have to put the tenants in a hotel. I’ll never use anything but Orange Oil again.

Had a really bad ant infestation. We had them come out and haven’t had an ant since. They sprayed the exterior walls and also gave us a few traps for inside. They call each month to schedule your monthly spray. Really friendly and you get the same person every time to come out.

Fantastic job! Super cool people and haven’t had a spider or ant problem since i bought my house! Best Pest In the IE! And its nice to be able to pay without worry of surprise costs or expensive treatments. Love this company!

We continued to have ants after multiple service outings and «the best they could do» was to bump up our next service date and bill us, when the policy was if there was an issue within 30 days of service they would come out for free. Evidently this wasn’t a policy they were interested in implementing with us. I’m glad there are those who have a good experience with Craig and Sons, wish we could have shared the same experience.

These guys are great! They know what they’re doing and they know what common spots critters tend to lurk in. They are more than willing to accommodate for whatever concerns you may have, such as not fumigating around certain plants, keeping insecticides away from your garden, etc. They only spray where you tell them it’s okay. I have dogs so making sure they don’t get sick from insecticide was a concern for me, and they reassured me that my dogs and other animals would be A-​Okay after spraying! I also had a black widow issue that they took care of pretty quickly. They come once a month and I don’t regret hiring them!

Craig & Sons were able to accomplish what my last company of 7 years was unable to: stop the insane onslaught of ANTS!!! My technician, Allen, was very professional and legitimately interested in helping us with our ant problem. I am very pleased with the results and interaction with Allen. I definitely recommend you give them a try!
