Spent several weeks in the shop, $ 735 later and brand new clutch cable broke, had to be towed home and vehicle is still out of commission!

5 stars for service is not enough for this place. I have taken my diesel truck to warrens to replace the transmission cooler lines and a glow plug. He did a great job and was super fast to getting it done.
Sometimes you get good service when you are a new customer and then the next time you come in things change. Not the case here, I had my moms car towed in after hours and he was able to work it in to his schedule the next day. He replaced the alternator and recharged the battery for her and was very reasonably priced.

This place is awesome! I rarely walk into an auto shop and trust anyone inside it. It’s one of those things where you never know if they are ripping you off. We had our A/​C go out while driving through redding to get to Oregon. We stopped by this place after going to some other shop who I didn’t trust. Everyone was so nice and it was quick! Warren, the owner, is a stand up guy. I would come again if I ever find myself in redding :)

Right… as good as it gets! I will not go into all the details, but just know if you are searching Unilocal in an effort to decide where to take your sick vehicle… then Warren’s Automotive is it!
While traveling from WA back to the Central Valley, my van started over heating 89 mi. north of Redding. I selected W. Auto based on Unilocal reviews and his kind wife Jodi. After speaking with her from my broke down location, I decided to get towed there and get a room for the night, as it was near closing and they were already very busy. BTW, Jodi did refer me to two other shops, but neither could see me that day either. That jester was the deciding factor for me to take it there.
After a good nights rest I drove my sick van over (only 2 blocks away), first thing that morning. I was quickly diagnosed and given an estimate. I agreed to have Warren take care of my problem and he did. I found them both to be genuinely; honest, fair and friendly. It’s so nice to know there are still businesses out there that really care about their customers and go that extra mile to let you know… we need more of them.
I highly recommend Warren’s Automotive for any of your auto care needs. He’s very knowledgeable and so is Jodi… great team!

On a road trip to pick up my son from Southern California, coming from Seattle. They fixed me up and had me on my way in no time!
Very quick, honest, and trustworthy!

Car trouble always sucks. And when you’re 500 miles into an 850-​mile road trip to help relocate your mom, and the car refuses to go, it REALLY SUCKS! Far from home. Just me and the dog (flew mom up due to health issues). Not car savvy. And a 106-​degree day to boot. I was feeling pretty kicked in the teeth.
Enter Warren’s Automotive!
I’d already sat in the Motel 6 parking lot, picking my LA-​based mechanic’s brain over the phone so I’d have a chance of not being «taken» due to my general lack of car knowledge (and lets face it — my gender). I spied Warren’s great reviews on Unilocal,gave him a call and picked his brain based on what my mechanic told me. His answers seemed on-​point with what my mechanic thought … so, good … I figured he’d be a safe bet. Then I told him my sad tale of being stranded between Los Angeles and the Oregon Coast … and I was supposed to already be on the road to meet up with my mom … and he said the magic words that almost brought tears to my eyes:
«Well, I’ve got a full house over here, but you sound like you’re in a bind, so get the car over here and I’ll take care of you.»
And the angels sang!!!
Forty minutes later, a tow truck delivered me and my sad car to Warren’s shop where we were greeted with a smile and a bowl of water for my mom’s little dog who was traveling with me.
He diagnosed the problem and gave me the run down — at which point I felt he was totally honest and not trying to up-​sell me in the least. He replaced the problematic part (mass air sensor) and then pointed out the start of a tiny radiator leak … but was honest in saying it was just the start of a problem — so keep an eye on it. He also gave me some bottles of water and rags in case I had radiator trouble along the rest of my journey.
The little dog and I were back on our way in just a few hours and for a very reasonable price.
Very thankful to have found such great service in an unfamiliar town. Thanks, Warren!

Warren and his team are super friendly and knowledgable, and as a girl walking into a mechanic shop, I actually felt welcomed and comfortable. Warren didn’t over charge me, or insist on doing unnecessary work, and my car is running great! He’s a quality guy who does quality work, and I highly recommend his shop!

I’ve taken my car in twice so far and have been pleasantly impressed. Warren seems honest and has told me when I just need to buy a part instead of opting for him to do more diagnostics. He’s helped me out quickly each time and let me know before doing any work. I hope I don’t see him very often but I’ll be happy when I do.

If I could give this guy a 10 I would. Best mechanic ever. One of the most honest people I have meet. Thanks warren for always taking care of us so good.

Warren was wonderful when my son’s 1973 Toyota pickup broke down while traveling south from Portland. He offered to call around for the needed part, even before my son’s truck limped into town, and sent someone to help change the tire, when the poor truck blew a tire just block’s away from Warren’s shop. He was able to quickly replace the part and send my son on his way. Thanks, Warren!

Warren is the smartest and most honest guy and mechanic I have ever dealt with. And one of the best things I like about how him is how he takes the time to explain things and gives you options on what to do next. His wife Jody is also a great and very helpful. If you need a permanent mechanic or if just passing thru give him a call. I live a hour away in Mt. Shasta and I come here for all my work.

Wow… The search is over for my quest of a Great Master Mechanic! This shop and Mechanic are Highly recommended for Excellent Work at a fair price.
He showed me Exactly what was going on with my Brakes in detail and recommended the repairs needed without trying to sell me the entire farm when not needed…
Great experience… highly recommended… just don’t tell Everyone… I don ‘t want to have to wait a week to get in… lol.

We are so happy to of found Warrens Automotive. He saved us about ½ the money on repairing our vehilce then a estimate I received else where and has saved us money time and time again. The people there are always friendly and curtious and even SMILE. They don’t treat you like you are bothering them. They explain a problem and I CAN understand what they are saying and do the work quickly. I would recomend this buisness to everyone we like and we do. Driving down from Portland, OR I stopped to stay a night in Redding. Had some muffler troubles, went in first thing in the morning in hopes of a quick fix.
Warren heard my noisy muffler coming greeted me with a smile. He knew I was traveling and did everything to get me fixed up and back on the road within in hour. He even took a car out of the garage that he was working on to get me in because he knew I was in a hurry. Was very friendly, gave me a great price and educated me on what the problems were.
Would highly recommend this spot to anyone. It felt like I had a friend fixing my car, rather than some auto shop I didn’t know trying to take advantage of me. Thanks for getting me back on the road!

Warren is awesome. He can fix anything and he’s open half day on Saturday!

This auto shop is wonderful. My car broke down in Redding and I was stranded and they fixed everything in about an hour! They are super friendly and I highly recommend them. They really know their stuff too.
