Redding Kia

This is an update for a few previous reviews. Pretty much they sold me a HORRIBLE car.
I went in wanting a Kia optima, my credit didn’t qualify. So the young man told me to buy a ford fiesta– should’ve known from the get go to run. But I needed a newer car. So I take hours to think about it. Finally when the bank comes back with the rate, I decline. On accident I left my registration there so turned back and walked in to get it… And I was pulled in. The man said «come on, get the car, you need a new one, I know it’s a big responsibility but it will fix your credit»… So I got it.
Fast forward 1 year and 7 months later… I’m in a lemon case. The car has had its clutch replaced 4 times in one year. I hope they didn’t know the issues and just wanted it off the lot. I truly hope I win so I can get the car I actually like. I want a Kia forte and want to go back to them but I’m afraid. I want to be treated with respect and make sure I’m getting a good deal.
The only thing that is excellent is the service guys. They get 100 stars!!! They were even shocked when I told them the issues and that I bought it there. I’ve heard nothing but great about kia so maybe my review will change.

let me start off my saying this is about Kia corporation and their Warranty, I love Redding dealership worker bee. I will never buy a Kia again!
On November 2, 2015, my 2011 KIA RIO, at around 2 p.m. suffered severe power loss while driving in the city of Redding California. As soon as it was safe, I pulled over and called my insurance company to assist with towing the vehicle to the KIA dealer located in Redding.
The dealer fixed the car several days later and informed me an ignition coil went bad and would need replaced, so good luck
There were no additional problems until Christmas day 25, December when my car again, suffered severe power loss: replicating the problem from last month.
Because it was Christmas day, I decided to drive home. This placed me in a potentially dangerous situation.
The car again went back to the dealership and it was told to me by the service advisor, that another ignition coil went bad.
This is two events with this automobile within two months. I would have considered this an anomaly with the first unit but two? The vehicle has about 45,000 miles on it and is about 4 years old. Ignition coils should not go bad within this time frame which leads me to believe that the ignition coils have some inherent manufacturing fault.
I would ask that this car be repaired in such a manner to be made reliable. And to top it off no call YET.

I own a 2014 fully loaded leased Kia Optima hybrid. The battery was dead in it three days ago, I got the car towed to the Reading dealership. On noon The day it was towed, they did nothing for six hours. They called me at 6:00 PM the same day to get approval to inspect it and to get approval of $ 100 fee to inspect the vehicle. Then the guy went home that night didn’t even inspect my car. The next day I get a call saying that the battery is dead and They need to order one. However the battery wouldn’t be in for a day. I called them back, keep in mind that had the car for two days now, and they said the battery is not in yet and it should be in the following day which brings it up to three days now. I have a job and go to school and have a daughter to take to daycare and they would not give me a loaner car so I am a grand total of four days so far without a car and they still will not give me a loaner car to use. Four days for battery seems a little much but to top it off the service is awful they’re not very friendly over the phone and they are not very helpful, the new Kia design might be amazing but their reputation is the same. Kia sucks. $ 100 inspection for a fully covered and leased car? Stupid.

As a child of the 80’s, I have always wanted a jeep. A jeep personifies America. Freedom, and bad gas mileage. But I wanted one. However, I have never driven one. Today I was stuck in traffic, and low and Behold, there it was. The Jeep. I cut off about 3 cars to get into the lot.
As I walk up to the jeep, I can see the Salesman looking at me, so of course I avert my gaze as not to acknowledge him. I just want to check out the jeep.
As I am checking it out, I realize something. I don’t know anything about jeeps and I am starting to have questions about it.
As I am looking around, A salesman comes up and starts talking about the jeep. However, this seemed like a normal conversation. Two guys talking about the awesomeness that is a jeep. No goofy questions «where do you work?», «what can I do, to get you in this?». None of that .
He asks if I would like to take it for a spin. I explained to him that I was just looking and that my llama farm hasn’t made a profit, so buying a jeep is a long way off. The sales person laughed and said that driving it around the block isn’t a contract. We hop in and holy jeez, its a blast. The salesman, Josh G. knew a lot about the vehicle and seemed really intent on me getting use to the vehicle.
When the test ride was over, I was getting ready for the pitch, but It never came. I asked a few questions, got accurate answers back and that was it.
No pressure, No extreme sales pitch, no games.
For this approach alone, after I sell every llama I have, I will be getting a jeep, from this dealer and this salesperson.
Everyone on the lot was genuinely nice, its clean and they have a lot of inventory.
If you do not shop here, you deserve to ride the bus. for life.

Traded in our 2005 Buick for a 2015 Sorrento. Best customer service out of all the dealerships my husband went to that day. The team at KIA did everything they could to work with us and what we could afford to get us our new barely used car. Cody and Kyle thank you and everyone else for all the hard work.

I bought my first car from them recently. They had great customer service and helped me out greatly! My experience was good and I would definitely by my next car from them. They don’t pressure you like other car lots and work with until you feel good about buying the vehicle. I say «go to redding Kia and get a new car!!»

I have had a humming noise coming from my sportage for a few months and decided to call Kia to have the noise inspected. The manager let me know they would do a free inspection and give me a complimentary car wash as well. That morning I bring my car in and they said it would be $ 99 for the inspection… after speaking with the manager again he brought it down to 49.50, and said it would be applied to fixing the car later. Upon arriving to picking my car up, which never got a car wash they quoted me $ 900 and said I needed a completely new AC compessor. Being a bit skeptical, I took it to two separate mechanics who quoted me half the price that the dealership did, and my car is now good as new for only $ 400 and a new hub bearing only on the compressor. Big thanks to the crooks at Redding Kia, I will never recommend or return.

This is for Redding Kia’s service dept.. .. They are super nice and pretty good. This is my first time taking my car in there and they did a very professional job.

I just got my first brand new car and I had the most wonderful experience. As a first time car buyer I had no idea what the process would be like but the wonderful people here really took the time to explain the process to me and what sort of price range I was looking at before they ever showed me a car. They walked me through the whole process and made sure I understood each step of the process and didn’t ever get exasperated when I had them explain something multiple times when I got confused.
When I did finally find the vehicle for me (2015 Kia Soul!) it was beautiful and I fell in love. The process was very smooth and my sales person Kyle never ever tried to pressure me into buying. I was blown away by the amazing service and was even more blown away when they showed me my monthly payment. I couldn’t believe how much money they managed to save me which really was the giant cherry on top.
Not only would I recommend Kia buy my mother who went with me was so impressed now she is thinking of getting a Kia too!

Purchased a new Sorento last July and received excellent customer service! I will continue to recommend this car dealership!

We have been dealing with the task of buying a car for the last few weeks. And, believe me when I tell you we have looked at «MANY » dealerships! We found a certain car BUT, like several we are at a place where things are pretty «tight» So, I had done my «homework» ! We got up the nerve to send an inquiry in via email. I can tell you, I pressed send, after writing it, unsure of the reaction I would get, I held my breath, wondering ! I checked my email and there was a response from Jake ! Very cordial and even tho I had Never met him before, he was nothing but kind and considerate ! After lots of communication. Once we were able to we went to look at the car we had asked about, a 2012 Honda Civic and fell in love with it instantly! We came home last night and, started doing «MORE» research and after lots of searching, review reading, opinions from friends. We were ready to go back to the dealership this morning. I probably gave the employees a run for their money but, they were nothing but helpful, patient and courteous, with every question or concern we had! By the time it came time to sign paperwork we felt MORE than comfortable with the whole situation ! Thank You to the entire Management Team, Sales Team, Finance Team and Detail/​Mechanic Team. We look forward to a Long relationship with your company !!

Wonderful experience. I just bought my second car from this dealership and couldn’t be happier. (Mark Anderson was my salesman). Excellent and prompt service, friendly people in all departments, and very informational. I told them exactly what my budget parameters were and they didn’t try to push me past what I wanted and respected my needs. I will recommend this dealership to everyone.

Upon arrival, I found a very small dealership, but was able to find one parking space in the back. I was there for 20 minutes looking at Kia Soul models, and no one approached me asking me if I needed any help. I was interested in a used ’12 model I saw on their website, but had no price on the site. I found the car, but no price was posted on the car. After waiting, I walked back to my car and found it was blocked in by a Kia they had moved. Walking back towards the front of the lot, a employee finally approached me and I told him I was blocked in. His response, «I can get it out, let me see your keys.» Wow, you can’t move the car you blocked me in with? So I did a multi point turn and squeezed out of the lot. I live in Chico, and will try out the Yuba City dealership looking for better customer service and attention.

Couldn’t find the model of Optima I wanted in the Bay Area, so I stopped in here on a whim. Like any car dealership, they’re looking to maximize profits, but they were respectful throughout the entire interaction and I drove away with the car I wanted feeling I had gotten a fair price. Would have given them five stars, but I felt that their first offer was a bit ludicrous and it did instill some reluctance that I had to work through.

We looked ALL OVER REDDING for a new mini-​van. We were NOT picky about which mini-​van, just that it was new. :o) We did not have good experiences at some «other» car dealers… my wife was lied to many times (oh yes, it has rear air conditioning… when in fact it didn’t…oh yes, we can sell it for $ 20,199…no we never said that…). We walked into Redding Kia and it was a completely different experience. It was pouring rain and when my 7 month pregnant wife pulled in, a car salesman ran up to her car with an umbrella. They did not have the Kia Sedonas in stock, but had a 2011 used and she test drove that and loved it. Two salesman (Nemo Lopez and Donnie) drove to Marin County to pick up a 2012 Kia Sedona from another dealer. Redding Kia is HONEST and will go the EXTRA MILE (literally) for their customers. There is a sign posted all throughout the store: «Your Last Impression Is Our 1^st Priority» The financing was done for us and got a better rate that the local credit union offered. They were running behind w/​financing last night (new computer system) so we had more of a wait than usual but the salesmen did all they could to «entertain» us. From golf swing lessons, to guitar serenades, to free key rings for both of us… We highly recommend Redding Kia for all your car needs – new or used, this is the only place to be! Redding Kia’s service department rocks! My 2010 Optima was downshifting hard into 2^nd gear. I brought it in and the repairs were finished in 26 minutes (software upgrade). That is amazingly quick! And they washed my car for me after repairing it!

I had my Soul serviced yesterday, and these guys as always treated me great. Charles is the guy that usually writes up my car when I come in, and he is very helpful and energized. He actually runs to my car and back to get the miles. You don’t see too many people that are that concerned for your time anymore.
My service was only going to take about 30 minutes, so I decided to wait at the dealership. Nice leather couch, and a flat screen tv to watch in the showroom.
Everyone was very friendly and actually took time to say hello to me as they walked by. A very nice environment.
When I got my car back, it was all washed up for me too. The best part is that My service was $ 5 cheaper than the chain service shop down the street:)
Excellent place. They told me that they can service pretty much any make, so I suggest you try them out, even if it is just for an oil change.

I’m sure that these guys are okay — considering how many 5-​star ratings they’ve received lately — maybe since the economy got better, their attitude has improved. In any case, I’m sure that we probably just hit them on a very BAD day or something. But the fact that the floor manager actually started cussing at us was really out-​of-​hand, and actually frightening to me at the time. We’re just middle-​aged, middle-​class people, and we were there to pay cash for a used vehicle in the $ 8,000 range, so there really wasn’t any reason for the foul language.
Maybe they aren’t letting that guy out on the floor anymore…
