I had a bit of an emergency last week, I awoke to no water! I have two small kids and help care for and elderly family member. We can’t make it long with out any water. I looked up plumbers in the area on here and found a lot of positive reviews for Northstate Custom Plumbing. I called them up and the girl that answered was polite and helpful. She told me that they were very booked up but that she was going to contact the owner John and see what we could work out. Minutes later she called back and said he was rearranging his schedule was going to personally come out and help us. I live in Shingletown and its a good 45 minutes outside of Redding. He was there within and hour and worked on it for us. We had water up and running by the afternoon. They were kind and accommodating and made a difficult situation much easier. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a plumber.

Custom Plumbing is THE BEST! They have great communication and do an amazing job. I would highly recommend them!

I have to say that Custom Plumbing is the BEST! John is very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. His old school work ethic, honesty and customer service is refreshing. He impressed me so much the first time he came to fix plumbing issues at a mobile park that I manage, that I have used him on several occasions and will continue to do so with all my future business and personal plumbing needs. We went off of Unilocal reviews after having a bad experience with another plumber who quoted us $ 4,800 to fix low water pressure on our sink. John came out and cleaned the filter on our faucet, that is all it was. He installed a new toilet and repaired another toilet. Quality work, called in the morning out that same afternoon. We will call them again.

Water leak at my rental. was fixed at a very reasonable price. Very punctual, friendly and honest. having them do another job at my daughters house on Monday! I will recommend them and use their service when needed!

I am very happy with the service I received, needed 1 pipe fixed and had a couple other things that I thought if after I initially called, everything was fixed quickly. I am a DIY person so I asked a lot if questions on how to fix some of the issues myself and my questions where answered thoroughly.

Custom Plumbing did my bathroom remodel and no one could have been more professional. They did awesome work, were friendly and always on time. I highly recommend Custom Plumbing for ALL your plumbing needs.

Gavin showed up on an extremely wet morning recently. He was holding a canvas tarp, to lay down on my floor to protect it as he did his work. They say it’s the little things that matter, and that tarp was a home run. I had a shower that wasn’t draining, hadn’t been since May. I explained the problem, Gavin came in, glanced at the tub, and very politely and tactfully informed me that the drain lever was in the «off» position. I, of course, was sure it couldn’t be just that simple (since I am a DIY genius, lol)…but it was. He was very thorough, checking flow in both bathrooms, and very kind in not rubbing in my error. these guys will be the first I call when I have a real plumbing issue. =) very professional.

John is a GREAT plumber. He was quick and found the problem immediately. He asked just the right questions to get to the heart of the matter and we were thrilled. John is an honorable man and I felt safe as well as felt I got a truthful account and what was needed to correct the problem. I will call him again!

John came on extremely short notice to fix a hose bib that had given out in my front yard. John was professional and opted to try the least expensive fix instead of replacing the entire fixture. He also notified me of prices of possible plans if the cheaper alternative fix did not hold. I really appreciated knowledge and candor. I will definitely call on them again.

I have used Custom Plumbing a couple times for my business and referred them to my sister for her new home. One of the things that sets them apart from most companies is their efficiency and very professional communication skills. Gavin and John are personable, knowledgeable and SKILLED! I have used John and his crew at Custom Plumbing for years. It doesn’t matter if it is an emergency in the middle of night, on a weekend or custom built house. The attention to detail that they have shown me is amzing. They truly go above and beyond.

I found Custom Plumbing from reading Unilocal reviews. The stellar reviews lived up to the service rendered. I worked with John. He was highly professional, on time, knowledgeable, skilled, fair, affordable and extremely pleasant. He did an excellent job installing a new hot water heater, but prior to that had climbed in my attic and on my roof to be sure that the leak was indeed from the hot water heater. He was so efficient with his time that he finished earlier than what he quoted on the price for labor and removed the unused labor cost on his own. Quite a pleasant experience. Custom Plumbing will be where I go for further plumbing needs and also where I will direct my friends in need of plumbing services.

I just had Michael out from Custom Plumbing (yes, even on a Sunday!) and he was great. He was in and out within an hour and that includes a parts run.
He was very nice and personable and we didn’t mind having him in the house which is a big plus because we all know some service people are a little creepy lol.
I would highly recommend this company to anyone searching for a plumber. I will definitely use them again.

Gavin was here at my home early Saturday morning installing a new toilet, and new kitchen sink faucet fixtures. So courteous, kind, professional, clean! Because I’m experiencing hard financial times, 1) Gavin donated his personal time, 2) Owner, John of Custom Plumbing allowed 3) our dear friend, Bob Ferrari of Flue Season Chimney Sweeps to purchase at near wholesale cost the supplies & fixtures. I am truly grateful for all these guys generosity helping me when I was in desperate need. (I only have one bathroom & one kitchen sink). Quality service! Quality parts!

After hours call. Came to Unilocal site and called first 5 plumbers in quick succession. John from Custom was the only who answered and was at my location in 25 minutes diagnosing the issue. Prompt, polite and professional throughout — he helped get us running water for the night and returned the following day to address another external leak. Active in the local business community and seems invested in building a reputation for quality service. I’ll contact John for all my plumbing needs from now on. He’s earned my business.

I called Custom Plumbing because my water heater was leaking badly. These guys were at my door in a ½ hour repairing the problem. This company is all about quality and customer service. If you have a plumbing problem I recommend calling John Jones at Custom Plumbing!

I called Custom Plumbing because my hot water tank had leaked water all over my garage. I was a little frantic. John was out to my house within an hour! I had damage to the drywall that needed to be fixed before they put in the new tank. John got on the phone and had someone out to fix that problem right away. My wall was fixed and the new tank installed the same day I called. I would never call anyone other than Custom Plumbing.
