Not honest. Charged me twice when they never ran it the first time. I will not return to this place. They kept trying to sell me a 200 $ diagnostic instead of just checking it.

Did business twice, same outcome twice. Both visits I was given much shorter time and cost estimate than the final outcome. Neither time did I receive a call. Had to continually call to get progress updates and got a suprise bill upon arival. Owner makes excuses without apology. Will stick with keith s and Jefferson state in the future

DO NOT GET YOUR CAR SMOGGED HERE! I’m only giving them one star because I can’t give no stars. Took my car here to get it smogged (my car is newer and runs great, no issues) and they failed it. Immediately took it to my mechanic who looked it over and told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with it and took it to another smog place and it passed with flying colors the SAME DAY.
This place is notorious for ripping people off. Save your money and never take it to A-​1 Smog.

Great place for European car work! My daughter just got 06 BMW and this is a great place to go if you want to avoid crazy prices.

I had a great experience with them. I’m surprised at the bad review below, because they were so helpful and kind to me. The lady behind the counter, I don’t remember her name, but she is such a sweetheart. I’d never had my car smogged before (but I’ve been ripped off before, so I know the earmarks) so I asked around for quite a while before picking A-​1.
The day that I went, they were PACKED with cars. Just packed. When I pulled in, they told me they didn’t have any more room for another appointment. I was really bummed out because I needed to complete the check so I could register my car. I was ready to drive away, but they decided to just do my car anyway! How kind is that?
The lady behind the desk kept me company while I waited, and was very kind. I could watch the mechanic through the glass windows, and it was just a very simple, fast job. They actually found a coupon for me and gave me like five or ten dollars off, and I left feeling very happy and very pleased with my experience. I will be going back.

My experience with A1 was fine. They were fast, courteous, and professional. Honestly it’s like the other reviewers of A1 and I went to two separate places?
Maybe it all depends on who’s working that day? Or the attitude of the customers I got there before me? But honestly I was in and out, no fuss, everything went fine. I received my registration from DMV probably less than a week after my visit to A1

Total scamming thieves! And the few that aren’t stealing from you, are just incompetent. BBBAAADDD EXPERIENCE and not nice people!!! Save yourself the hassle, pick any other smog certification place!
