This department store is a fraudulent business, they charged my card two different transactions of $ 50 without my knowing, consent or card. Then when calling there asset protection team nobody picks up, DONOTGIVEYOURCREDITCARDINFORMATIONOVERTHEPHONEORONLINETOTHESEPEOPLE, or you will see fraudulent charges on your account soon there after.

Worst customer service. I’ve ordered clothing from them twice, and will never do it again. The first time they sent the wrong colors, and the second time the item had a store security /magnetic tag on it(which makes me wonder if they’re selling me stolen items). Both times I was on hold with customer service for at least 20 minutes. They are lame!

This is a review of the new store that just opened in meriden ct. Very disappointed after all the hype in the newspaper about this«department store». It seems like a cross between walmart and macys but more like a walmart… very cheaply made clothing and yet a high end cosmetics and perfume counter that seems very odd and out of place in this store… i really dont know what to make of this store. the shoe department has about 10 percent leather items the rest cheap looking vinyl low end brands… the household goods are walmart quality. the bed and bath area has inexpensive towels and sheets that look like they wont hold up at all. They have alot of inexpensive furniture that lookinexpensive. The merchandise displays are very poor or completely lacking. It just seems like a lot of stuff just thrown together in a very cramped space. Its really not a well designed store. somewhere in the middle of this is a candy counter that sells chocolates displayed in a glass case… its all very weird. Really no consistancy in the quality of merchandise. kind of like this store doesnt know what it wants to be –a discount store or a department store. i dont think ill be back since i was really not impressed by anything i saw… if i want to shop at walmart ill go to walmart. If i want higher end ill go to macys or bon ton.

Well, well, well — I am really liking what I’m seeing in the Misses department! That’s what I’m talkin’ about! Thank you! I am now finding quite a few dresses, skirts, tops, etc., that are very contemporary in style and have a nice mix of sexy, sophisticated, and classy. I’m so very happy to see things that are more for my age of *&#-fabulous. Now, that 5th star will be filled in if the Shoe Department will take a lesson from the Misses Department. Please, PLEASE! How many Naturalizers do you need in that department? One more super positive — had to buy 3 mattresses and box springs(long story). Great deal from Boscovs, top quality mattresses! Used my Boscov’s card and NOINTEREST on the purchase. Unbelievable. You guys…

Incident 1: A few weeks ago, I ordered 2 sets of Patio Furniture. Oder placed on phone. I was told that in 3 – 4 days, I would receive a call from warehouse to schedule delivery. I did not hear from them for 2 – 3 weeks!!! Finally I cancelled the order as I placed order elsewhere. After I cancelled the order, I receive multiple calls from Boscov’s asking for confirming delivery. Ridiculous! I informed them that I had requested for cancellation. Even after that, I received call twice asking for confirmation for delivery. Finally it got cancelled and I got my money back… What a waste of time!!! Incident 2: Just 4 – 5 days ago, I ordered a «LazyBoy» sofa set in the store in Woodbridge. I was promised delivery on Thursday. I categorically made a request that I should get at least 30 – 45 minutes notice before they arrive at home for delivery. I get an automated voice message mentioning they will be home in 10 minutes. I immediately left for home. While I reached half way(20 minutes left to reach home), I am told they have other orders to manage and I will have to request re-schedule of delivery. I had just moved in a new house and had planned for house warming party with guests coming in. Had to cancel that just because Boscov’s said they can’t deliver before a week!!! I definitely need compensation for this trouble… Never again a delivery will be requested from Boscov’s by me or any of my known people!!!

I ordered an item from their website. It took 8 days to arrive, and when it did, it was the wrong item. I called the 800# to complain, and they said they’d send me the correct item. The customer service was quite unprofessional. 2 days later, I received an email saying I was refunded. I again had to call them(and wait on hold for 10 minutes) and was informed that it was now out of stock. Now I have a very disappointed child for Christmas. Thanks for nothing Boscov’s. It’s 2014. Get with the times, or go the way of Montgomery Ward.

In my original review, I explained that Boscov’s shipped me light colored pumps that were not wrapped in anything and were in a green box, so they arrived badly scuffed. I called to report the problem, and they had me order a new pair at the same cost and sent me a label to ship back the damaged shoes. The new shoes were in fine condition — and were wrapped in paper to protect them — and my account has now been credited. It still was not a great experience since it was a bit of a pain and I had to wear the scuffed shoes to the event I bought them for. But at least they did what they could to fix the problem. The shoes were way cheaper than the other online stores I found them at, though, so I may give them another try.

Haven’t been in the stores, but online they are terrific. Ordered a set of luggage a few days ago & it was shipped the next morning, and took only 2 days to get here. That wasn’t express shipping, that was regular shipping. Their site has some of the best prices I’ve seen. My luggage – a simple 4 piece set by Pierre Cardin – was $ 79.99 + $ 19(heavy weight) shipping, and no taxes. The set was also sold on QVC for around $ 150, so I think I got a good bargain. The set was much nicer and sturdier than I’d expected. Went to the website to leave a review, but they were sold out. I needed new luggage to replace my much-loved and extremely heavy vintage pieces, and I really lucked out with this set.

Is Boscov’s quite possible the best online retailer of all time? Ok, well maybe that’s hyperbole but over the past few months, has been my go-to site to get new threads and accessories since I find myself way to busy to head out into the retail outlets and fight with the rest of society, particularly during Christmas shopping season. Geoffrey Beene wrinkle-free French cuff shirts rolling at under $ 20 a shirt, with free shipping for the holidays can’t be beat. With prices this cheap, I decided to just load up and buy five of the same shirt. Overboard? Maybe, but with this kind of value, I’m not going to say no! I don’t know what’s better, getting stuff for such cheap prices or knowing that all profits from every Geoffrey Beene shirt goes directly to causes that benefit research on curing diseases and educational programs for kids. Boscov’s is a speedy deliverer and have never messed up my order. I always like getting a box in the mail from them because I know I’ll be getting exactly what I want.
