Best grocery store in San Pedro. Awesome staff. Awesome food selection and THEY CARRY BARQS ROOT BEER! Awesome sales. Great meats! Love the staff! Smart and Final is the best spot to go for anything, they have it all!

Overall I’m glad there’s a smart and final right next door to my house, but the problem location is always big lines and when you see literally almost a dozen people working there and there’s only one or two cashiers with a line of people you would think the cashiers will take a look at the line of frustrated people and call for more help but unfortunately that doesn’t happen all the time most of the time that it.
After all that’s why most people shop here if they want to skip the big lines at Costco.

When the Sign Clearly Says 10 items or less. It means nothing I was told!!! 50 items customers are making this store rich. My couple item doesn’t pay the light bill here. Last time I came in they made me more to another register cause I had 15 items. WTF. Not consistent !!!

How have I never shopped at Smart and Final. This store is a cross between Food for Less (price wise) and Costco (bulk items). However unlike Costco especially, Smart and Final is not over crowded and overrun with people looking for free samples. I love this store it will definitely be in my rotation of stores. My favorites especially are the bulk water — for a case of 28 crystal geyser sparkling water it was only 12 dollars that’s an amazing deal.

Love the redeaux!!! Ever since they’ve remodeled the store, it seems as though both the quality and quantity of product selection has improved dramatically.
It also seems as though they somehow were able to increase floorspace. The store is clean, laid out well and employees are helpful.
If, (and it’s a big if…), I were to be a pansy ass and gripe about anything, the area around the meat section is colder than a well diggers ass!!! I can’t walk by that area for an extended period of time without feeling like George Costanza getting out of a pool in a Seinfeld episode, (if you know what I mean)…
Take a sweater to keep warm or suffer the consequences.

I have yet to find a place that is more reliable when it comes to freshness and quality of fruit. The prices are pretty on par for the area. And sometimes they have regular prices that are below the sale prices of other stores. Usually don’t have long lines and it’s easy to find parking.

It’s one of my favorite stores and I do most of my shopping there on what I need. Some stuff is not a good as other stores but I am ok with that. Everyone is so nice and helpful. The store is clean and neat. I love the produce the best. The only thing that was disturbing to me was that a father had his 5 to 7 year old daughter get him his booze and no one said anything. The checker was right there and saw it. To me that was so wrong and it was disgusting to me.

Recently remodeled and the place looks and feels cleaner, fresher, nicer. Don’t shop here very often but whenever I do there is always a line — why is that? Only real complaint is that it is hard to find a clerk if I have a question. Again — like the long line — just a matter of bad timing?

I like that they redid the place to expand it more into a market/​bulk shopping, but they need to stop moving stuff around. That just creates too much confusion. Great place to come if you need to get large items of things for a party or whatever, but for daily shopping I find it to be a bit pricey and do I really need that much cereal or bread? NO!

Why is it that everytime I come here, there is one cashier and a line. the last time the line was down the isle. WHAT! I know other people work here. At least there is ample parking, so that is never the problem, and the cashiers seem friendly enough.

Smart and Final has the best prices on bottled water… about a dollar less per container on Sparklett’s 2 ½ gallon. It also has some unique cleaning and household items. Lots of party and picnic supplies. Haven’t bought any food here, just water and supplies, so I can’t coment on food quality. Overall, the store is very well stocked and they are rarely out of anything on the shelf which can be quite annoying at other stores. The staff is friendly and they go out of their way to help you load heavy items into your vehicle. Only complaint is that sometimes there aren’t enough staff available on the floor to help you and you have to search and wait for someone to become avaiable. Just ask the cashier to have them call someone to help you.

Shop here very often, they’re always in stock on sale items (which is so rare for most grocery stores!!) The produce is SO cheap and always looks really fresh! They have a great selection of meat, you seriously can’t get a lower price anywhere! I barely shop at other grocery stores because they have such a great selection of small items and large items (for parties).
Customer service is great! Cashiers are really fast and efficient. I’ve dealt with the manager Kevin a few times and he’s always so helpful!

Be careful of Lost Leader Ad’s. You get there and half the items advertised are not available. Lots of customers going for the $.99 eggs but soldout. Manager Kevin is rude. And 1 cashier Veronica tried to keep my $ 10.00 cashback. Produce not fresh compared to other nearby stores.

I feel like Smart & Final is just a crappy version of Costco. Sure the closest Costco from this location is quite far, it is still worth it to take the extra drive to get there. If you want to pick up normal groceries there are many places that work better. Alberston’s, Ralph’s, and Henry’s are super close, and are better for the average grocery pick-​up.

Great place to shop if you are a small business owner, and pretty good if you are just a «civilian» like me. There are some items that are cheaper at Target or Food 4 Less, but after trying Smart & Final, I go there at least once a month to stock up. This location is indeed larger and not as cramped as the one on PCH in Redondo Beach.
I do miss the old name, though: Smart & Final Iris.

This location is fairly large. They have a good selection on items and the prices are great for some things. Most items are bulk, but not all. The produce section is excellent and the fruits and veggies are always fresh. I love how clean and neat this store is.
