Recently my son cut his foot badly on the door to the Café near the entrance bad enough to need stitches but was not offered anything more than a bandaid.
We were not even offered a golf cart ride back to our room and the promised followup call was not given until we mentioned the injury at checkout.
The hotel then had Zurich Insurance call us for next steps after the security guard called us to cover his tracks knowing he mishandled the event.

We had the privilege of staying at the Weston Mission Hills for the Rock Marriage retreat weekend. The hotel is nestled like an oasis in the middle of the Palm Springs dessert. It’s a beautiful resort with all the perks you’d expect. A great pool area, waterfalls, fine dinning, and an immaculate golf course. The help was fri edgy for the most part save the coffee shop attendant and the overcharging for a scotch at the bar. I look forward to going back next year.

I stayed for a business conference. Rooms where nice, grounds well keep, staff was friendly, food and drinks great. The spa was very nice too. I made my own bath scrub. My favorite was the Bee hive tour. Best money spent, what a great education experience! I highly recommend it!

We had a great time here! The room was nice, large and loved that you have a balcony. Service was great everywhere we went at the resort. Grounds are absolutely beautiful. We spent most of our time at the adult pool. Only suggestion: have music playing all day.
The Food: room service was fast and food was good. Overpriced which is expected for room service.
The buffet was great! Great quality and they had a decent selection.
Lunch at the pool was also good. highly suggest the turkeys BLT! Yum!
SPA: I probably received one of the best massages I have ever had by Eric! I will definitely be back for a massage even if we stay at another resort. I also did the honey body scrub which I wasn’t super impressed with. Not worth the $. Book a massage with Eric. won’t regret it!

Rooms are very disappointing. The grounds are nice and the pool is okay, I had high hopes for the rooms. Very plane and have not been updated. I asked for another room and was given the run around. I would not recommend this place. There are so many options in Palm Springs.

I had a pleasant stay here recently for Mother’s Day. We booked the room on a fantastic rate and had a golf course view in a quaint quiet spot with the kids always a plus lol:. And then we were able to lounge by the pool and enjoy our time daily, and golf course mamma was a happy luxury camper…

We stayed at the Westin Mission Hills Resort this past weekend. Overall, the resort had a very nice feel to it. Our bed was a little strange — there was a comforter with a duvet cover that zips closed; the zipper was broken and the cover was open. Plus, there was a sheet on top of our comforter and we couldn’t figure out why.
Our room was a great size. Nice and large with vaulted ceilings; we were on the bottom floor right by the adult pool and I have to say this was a great location to be. The A/​C in our room wasn’t that great — we couldn’t get the room to be as cool as we would have liked and the fan in our room wouldn’t stay on through the night. We both like to sleep with the fan on for background noise and so this posed a problem of us both nights.
They had a singer out at the pool on Saturday and I wished the music would have been a little more lively. He was very talented and good enough to ignore; but for a daytime pool atmosphere I think they would have been better off with just the radio playing Top 40 or something.
Overall, this is a very nice resort — these are just a couple of things that were nuances for us.

We stayed at the Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort to celebrate our anniversary. We’re SPG members so we stayed for free for the whole Memorial Day holiday weekend.
Despite it being a busy holiday weekend we were checked in and given our room keys in no time. We stayed in building 3 which is conveniently close to the gym, restaurants, main pool, and right next to the Adult Only pool. We opted to forgo daily maid service and got points instead but every time we called the front desk with a request for more towels, etc, they arrived at our room in no time.
SPG members got a welcome happy hour featuring complimentary wine and beer and a pretty decent spread of hot hors-d’oeuvres.
Our room looked out on the golf course and the main building so there was always something to see from our balcony.
We ate breakfast at the main restaurant, Pinzimini, at 7:30 am and didn’t have to wait for a table, which surprised me considering how many people were staying at the resort. I guess most people sleep in on a holiday weekend?
The only experience that could be better is pool side. Other hotels are better at clearing out lounge chairs and taking guests to open chairs and that is something that could be improved here. The rule is that if a guest hasn’t used the chair in 30 minutes it’s available for another guest but the problem is that there were HUGE families that put their stuff out on 10 lounges early in the day and left one person (and sometimes no one) to sit with the stuff. During the time that we were there most of the chairs remained unused because everyone was in the pool but they left their shirts on the chairs so nobody could use them. Luckily we found two chairs together at 3 pm but other people were disappointed, especially if they arrived earlier in the day.
The bar at the main pool does a nice job of handling the incredible number of guests. The burger and fries was delicious as were the many margaritas that I drank.
They had a DJ spinning tunes until 4 which was a nice touch and made it feel more like Vegas than Palm Springs.
The guests driving golf carts drive like maniacs so keep your kids and dogs close as your walking around the resort. We saw a child and a dog nearly get run over in two separate incidents.
The sundries shop has a wide selection of sunscreen, magazines, snacks, bathing suits and souvenirs to take home along with Starbucks coffee and a lot of nice pastry options.
There are quite a few animals around the property for kids to see, such as the swan couple, the Flemish Giant bunnies and a tortoise, a mama duck with her 5 ducklings, the huge carp in the golf course lake, koi in the pond near the main pool and George the night heron who stalks the koi.
The property is about 15 – 20 minute drive from downtown Palm Springs and was a lovely home base for us to stay in while we explored the area.

Sadly this was my second time here and both times were no good. The first time (about a year a go) they messed up our reservation and we were locked out the room in addition to being walk in on by room service the morning after. No accommodations were made and we weren’t offered a ride back to our room (as we were in a building located far from the reception).
This past Memorial Day weekend we gave them another shot.
So let’s start at the beginning with the Spa. First off, the Spa rescheduled our appointments the day of due to a therapist calling out and this meant we were scheduled for the last massage of the night (7 pm). My boyfriend and I walked into the Spa on time for our 50 minutes massages and the receptionist made us check out right there and then (NOT NORMAL OR OKAY). He then told us to take our time in the locker room because we were the last reservations (LIAR). We were then waiting for our therapists by 7:10 and didn’t officially start our massages until about 7:15 pm. She asked me if I had a trouble areas, yet didn’t spend any extra time there. It was a FLUFF MASSAGE! She was more concerned with moving the damn rolling chair to ensure she was able to sit the entire session. At 7:50 share my massage was over! WTF! I didn’t get 50 minutes! MONEY WASTED 120%! My boyfriend got changed and went to the from desk before where they then told him the gratuity was an automatic 20%. My boyfriend, not knowing better said said okay. GUYS I USED TO BE A MANAGER FOR A HIGH END SPA… EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS SPA WAS FAR FROM HIGH END AND LUXURY.
And it gets better, my dad and his gf had massages the following morning and has the SAME EXPERIENCE! There is obviously a huge problem with management and hiring over there. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY or TIME.
Then we returned to our room to only find a HUGE ROACH in the bathroom! We called room service and when she arrived she gave us a sarcastic giggle and picked it up but her expression was like «you should have picked it up». Our accommodation? $ 40 and talking to a manager was an option not required! It’s laughable.
I had my dog with me and the only reason we noticed the ROACH was because there was a small table under the bathroom sink she kept trying to under as she was sniffing something out. If she would have eaten it or the chemicals they MAY have been put there, the Westin would a ton of explaining to do!

There are so many other lovely resorts for family vacations that are doggy friendly. The Westin Mission Hills should pay people to come stay and give reviews to fix this place!

A family of 100 we’re there no joke
A family reserved chairs first thing in the morning and left for 1 ½ hr. The RULES perfectly state that no chairs are to be reserved
A pool personal allowed another family to take those chairs
When the other family came along they were very Rude and they even got physical with this family kids
One mom actually sat on top of a young girl asking for the chair back
Managment handled this terribly the second family were asked to removed
It wasn’t until the end of the day we found out they were friends of a manager
Well if the fricken manager wants to have friends over for the weekend he should have a private party for them instead of mis treating other guests that are probably paying full price instead of getting the «Friend» rate!!!
At check out on top of it they were getting comped for all kinds of shit but of course
Manager friend must of suggested it
Managment handled this situation all wrong
I will be posting this all over social media and telling my local school moms about this since this is or was their choice of spring break

Here for Memorial Day weekend. Beautiful grounds, awesome pools. Seems the staff wasn’t quite prepared for the crowds. The main pool– every seat taken and reserved by 8:30am on Sat & Sun. Obviously very frustrating to not even have a spot to put a towel down. Several instances of a single person reserving 20+ seats. Eventually staff got involved and started freeing up some of these seats. Ramon was very helpful and handled angry guests well. This guy deserves a bonus. Left a happy customer. Great place for families with kids! Would be worth it to reserve a cabana on busy weekend of you have a big party.

6 out 10 pillows don’t have a pillow cases! I called them complaining what we noticed and they gave us a one pillow. So nasty!

Get a corner room. Much more spacious.
The food over here is not that good. Our party ate at the italian place. didnt like it at all

I stay at many Westin and W hotels. This location is mediocre and frankly disappointing for the steep resort price.
Paid for a deluxe room with an upgraded view and got a bottom floor room directly facing a parking lot. I don’t even mind getting gouged on a room sometimes because I’m gluttonous like that but it should actually be nice.
Most bottom floor rooms had landscaping for a bit more privacy to allow guests to comfortably use the patios but ours did not. Maybe they didn’t want to obstruct our view of the vast shimmering asphalt?
Maybe I am finicky but the room situation really turned me off from the get-​go.
Since the scene wasn’t set for room service we braved the restaurant and I wasn’t particularly impressed with the food.
The staff is excellent in general. The beds are very comfortable.
I would not come back with so many resort options in the area.

This hotel is amazing!!! A few friends of mine and I just stayed at this hotel during Coachella (Weekend 1) 2016, and loved every second of it. From the minute we arrived at the hotel we were treated like royalty. The staff at this hotel is exceptional, professional, and truly understand CUSTOMER SERVICE! Our room was pool side, and our balcony pretty much opened right onto the pool. The view was stunning. I was a little worried that it would be loud as this hotel was a shuttle stop hotel for Coachella but the hotel itself was pretty quiet.
Anytime we called the front desk with an issue, or question, there was a follow up phone call from the service team to ensure that everything had been fixed, or we had received whatever we requested!
We stayed in building 12, which isn’t really terribly far from the main building/​main pool, but we LOVED that there were golf carts that could take us to or from our room anytime of day!
I really can’t say enough about the staff at this hotel. From the Valet, Front Desk, Dining Room, to the Pool Staff, we didn’t have a negative encounter with a single staff member!
I will gladly stay at this hotel again!!! A great experience, not over priced, good size room. Plenty of space for 3 – 4 people to move around in the room without running into each other!

I was taken aback at how large the resort is! The employees are always gracious to help with the golf carts though~

ONLY Issue; Pool side food was VERY mediocre. Ive had better at the Riviera! Fries were cold, chips were stale…
Other than that, Id def go back. Great place for R & R!!!

We stayed in a Presidential Suite on the 2^nd floor which primarily overlooked the roof of the floor below, which was not kept clean (general dirt, as well as a cigarette butt, crumpled cigarette carton, crumpled plastic glass, etc.) and had no foliage at all (wouldn’t have been an issue had they put low planters on a drip system on top of the roof so you don’t have to look at the roof) or even decorative gravel. On the right side of the back patio was a service «pump house» type structure. The patio off the bedroom had a view up to the mountains but overlooked the main paths to and from other buildings and the parking lot — lacked privacy.
The bed, itself, was firm enough, but the pillows were terrible — so worn that you could fold them in half, which resulted in a bit of a neck ache.
The rooms (bedroom, living and dining rooms) are dark without all of the lights on, and is dated. The furniture is mostly banged up and tired. The phone is not located on the desk but on a credenza near the television (?).
The wallpaper in the master bath is bubbled and peeling in places. The marble on the floor and shower seem to be from the 1990s and are cracked in places. The sink vanity seems newer but has very shallow sinks which results in a mess.
Most annoyingly, there is no full-​sized sofa in the 1,100 sq. ft. room! There’s a tiny loveseat which, itself, is not a sleeper sofa. I specifically rent suites in case my husband snores. There are also no carpets on the floors, so I slept on the hardwood floor in the living room and then squished onto the loveseat with my legs spilling over on the side table when my back started hurting. I had to ask for a rollway (!) the second night … ridiculous … never have I encountered a suite that didn’t have a full-​sized sofa or a sleeper sofa.
Also, this place is huge … over 40 acres (including golf course) and rooms are not near the reception or restaurants. Not real quiet.
Not a good fit for us.

This resort is located in the more modern part of the Palm Springs area called Ranch Mirage. Looks like normal civilization instead of a time capsule kind of area.
We stayed here because there is an adjacent golf course that we could literally just walk out of our room to get to. The resort itself is pretty big. It doesn’t look fancy or special in any way but it’s proximity to the desert nightlife is a big plus. Although the desert can be a great weekend getaway for couples, this resort had a lot of families so you’re gonna hear a bunch of screaming kids. Our building got so bad with the kids, we requested another room and they accommodated us right away and sent a bellhop to collect and move our things for us.
There is an onsite tennis court (and yes, we actually played a match or two) and an onsite spa. We got two massages here. I asked for a different massage each time, but they felt exactly the same. I also got the same masseuse. Anyways, it was good so no real complaint, but I don’t know what the difference between massages were.
We got to play an early round of golf as well. Common sense should tell you to get an early tee time if you are there during summer. Nevertheless, I see people playing during the 108 degree heat.
Overall, this was a good place to stay for your money, but nothing so amazing that I wouldn’t want to try the many other resorts out.

Overall a great stay at the Westin Mission Hills — although it’s hard to put my finger on it, it just didn’t see «amazing».
Service was great. Staff were friendly, said hello to you while walking around the resort. While walking along the trails the shuttle would stop and ask if you’d like a ride consistently, etc.
The room was clean and tidy everyday. We had a pool view room with a king bed. The view of the pool and mountains was spectacular in the morning! As mentioned in other reviews the bed was a little hard but I didn’t find it that bad overall (and really it’s such a subjective thing anyways as some people like the mattress hard). My only real issue with the rooms was that the bathroom, while quite large, felt a little dated.
The gym was a decent size. There was always lots of people in it but we never had any problems finding a free machine (even at peak times in the morning).
Overall it was a great 4 night stay and we would come again.

We stayed here for one weekend for our four year anniversary and to meet up with some friends. Overall this place was a disappointment and nothing like what I expected. I did not think that it matched its rating as was promised. When we reserve this place my wife specifically requested something special for her anniversary, which I also confirmed upon check-​in. It was never delivered to us. When we inquired about this upon check out they didn’t even have a record of this on file. No big deal.
It also came with two other couples and specifically asked to be placed in the same building so that we could be close to each other. This was another thing that was totally messed on check in as they did not have us not only in the same building but the beds that we requested were also totally wrong. As a result One of the rooms were already in the other two we had to wait for to be done and ready. This took approximately an additional two hours…
The rooms were average at best, had the usual amenities but again nothing special. The most impressive thing about the room was the shower head as depicted. The rest of the resort was OK.
The pool was too small for the size of the resorts. We went to the main one late afternoon and there were no open seats. That place was too crowded, too many kids, and too many toys in the pool, barely enough room to hang out in the water. The décor was also average, nothing that stood out.
overall this place was below my expectations. Although the manager promised us a special deal as we were leaving, We will not be visiting this place again

Ganz nette Anlage aber nicht mit dem Qualitätsstandard zu vergleichen, den wir gewohnt sind. Ansich ist das ganze Palm Springs pervers: Mitten in der Wüste Golfplätze und Hotels mit einer Menge Pools. Da jetzt über Wasserverbrauch zu philosophieren ist jetzt nicht zielführend, aber eigentlich kann man sich um das Geld ein sauberes Pool erwarten. War nicht wirklich der Fall. Die Liegen waren teilweise von den Vögeln angekackt. Die Anlage ist in mehr oder weniger dezentem Schweinchen-​Rosa gehalten. Das war in den 80ern bei Miami Vice sicher mal stylisch…
Das Zimmer war allerdings wirklich gut, groß und neu renoviert. Zu empfehlen war auch der Grill und da die Spare Ribs, da wir am Abend nicht mehr wegfahren wollten, war das dann doch eine positive Überraschung.
Wenn ich nicht eine günstige Pre-​Paid Rate ergattert hätte, wäre das ganze zu teuer, so war es echt OK.
