This place is perfect because with bikini waxing, speed is key, & when all you do is wax beaver, you get pretty fast at it. And speed is everything with Brazilians.
I’ve gone here twice now for my waxing & I see Jasmine. She is a super efficient speed demon. She performs her job effortlessly (seemingly effortlessly) while I break into a cold sweat from the pain effectively turning her work surface into a slip & slide.
She handles you the way expert labor & delivery nurses handle newborns. It looks super rough but the babies don’t seem to mind & the job gets done right.
I’m a middle aged, soft skinned, dark hair chick of Hungarian ancestry & she finishes a full Brazilian in 15 minutes. That’s straight up skill.

The best waxing salon around! Very clean, adorably furnished and the staff is wonderful. Shandi does a great job, shes quick and very attentive to detail. The most comfortable salon I’ve been to (wipes to freshen up beforehand, towels on the table opposed to just paper, etc.)

After moving I had to find a replacement for the sugaring I had done every 5 weeks. You can read in my other reviews how much I loved the person who used to sugar me. Anyways I decided to try this place since I was over driving to long beach to get sugared. I couldn’t find a place locally that offered sugaring. I came here. April helped me… she was perfect! Honestly I love the results sugaring gave me. Waxing doesn’t feel the same after. BUT… for me… sugaring hurts more. This wax was painless compared to what I was used to. Whatever you prefer… this place was great and I recommend to anyone trying to find a new go to place. I’m still looking for a place that sugars though

I had never had the guts to get a Brazillian Wax before, but I tried it here, by Jasmine Acosta (Esthetician Extraordinaire) and the results were amazing! I have super sensitive skin & Jasmine and her staff are to careful, professional and accommodating. No pain. No regrets! If you want to try this, and I highly recommend that you do, come to The Pretty Kitty & see Jasmine! She is amazing!

Great group of estheticians! Specifically, Jasmine! Jasmine is professional and displays great knowledge about her profession! She explains the pre & post waxing directions thoroughly. Jasmine walks you through the waxing and makes you feel comfortable, which is what every girl needs when going in for a Brazilian wax! She also does a great job on eyebrow waxing. In addition, the facility is clean and the staff are very welcoming and cater to your needs upon walking in. Brazilians are painful regardless, but the welcoming staff & beautiful facility make the experience more pleasant!

I have recently moved around a lot and was hesitant to try a new place for a wax. Unfortunately, I have not found a replacement just yet. Yesterday, I asked for a full leg and Brazilian. The aesthetician (I will protect her identity) who saw me was nice, however I could tell that this was not her passion. First, when doing my Brazilian, she did not tighten my skin before she pulled, making the experience a little more painful than what it had to be. She repeatedly pulled hair from the same side, rather than change sides to let my skin rest. When she applied the wax, I felt she did not take the time to let the wax harden. When pulling hair from my full leg, she used a wax roller, because it was faster. She applied large cloths to cover a large section, rather than work on my leg piece by piece. I would have preferred her using soft wax and working on smaller sections. As a result, I can feel that the hair that she pulled out was broken from the skin (what shaving does), rather than pulled from the root. Before moving around, I have gotten waxed regularly and know great technique versus «meh» technique. I know about hair growth and that hair grows in several cycles. I also know when hair is pulled from the root versus being broken. In my case, my hair was broken and not pulled from the root. I will check in two weeks to update you on my hair growth process.
In the meantime, I recommend that Pretty Kitty employees get professional development to learn better techniques and do better work. I spent my entire session thinking there is a better way, and I am disappointed in my final product. I will not be back until I see or hear of improvement.
If you are looking for a person who is passionate about her work and knows what she is doing go to the Wax Queen (in Rosemead), a professional waxologist. I know the drive is far, but after today it is well worth it. Wax Queen:

Wow really loved this place. I had been to others in the past and thought this was the best. Neat, clean and efficient. My only complaint would be is that there is a sign that says no children and there was a child in the waiting room waiting for the person having waxing done. I don’t think it was appropriate. Other than that I will be going back.

Hands down the best place for waxing services! Tiffany is amazing! Even while I was pregnant I was able to get in and out within 15 mins with great results…

I have been coming to the Pretty Kitty for a couple years and I have NEVER left unsatisfied! Their customer service is fantastic and their estheticians have an impeccable bedside manner. I had April the other day and was so pleased by her professionalism and skill. The process of getting waxed is never pleasant, but with April I was so comfortable and at ease– I HIGHLY recommend her! You won’t regret it!

I’ve visited this location twice and my results have been ⁵⁰⁄₅₀. Both times I had Jasmine. She’s very nice and professional. What I love about this place is you are in and out in 15 minutes. My go to esthetician is 45 min to an hour of your time. To those reviewers that complain about them not seeing you if you’re late: It’s a business and think about someone other than yourself. They have appointments scheduled back to back all day long. If you show up 15 minutes late, it will make EVERYONE AFTER YOU HAVE TO WAIT. Have some courtesy for others.

I had Katie! She is great. I came a bit late but she took me anyways. The wax is specialized for sensitive skin and didn’t hurt much HONESTLY! Either that or my pain killer was amazing lol.

I love this place. The first time I went was after having a horrible experience at another beauty salon, so I was nervous. It turned out I had nothing to be nervous about! I had my services with Tiffany to start… she was and is fabulous. Due to work schedules that didn’t work out for me to see her anymore, I now see Shandi. She is absolutely super. She makes sure you feel comfortable and does an amazing job.
And for the record, I personally enjoy the «no children» policy. People should be able to come to these places and relax and not feel like they have to babysit other people’s children while they get services done.

This location is terrible! What tasteless service. Tiffany is very rude and unprofessional. I also overheard her yelling at the staff. Real classy.
I won’t be coming back here ever. Unless it is to see Holland. She is the real MVP! Love her.
Go to European Wax Center– Way better service. More professional and people here actually know how to Run a business :)

I recently went to the Pretty Kitty in Rancho Cucamonga and had my Brazilian and buttocks done by Holland. I have been getting Brazilians for the past 10 years and I have never had my hair grow back so fast. I don’t believe Holland has the Pretty Kitty waxing technique down pat given it was more painful than usual and just 10 days after seeing her I already have hair growing back in the majority of the area. It looks like I shaved And not waxed. I believe Holland did not pull the hair from the root.
The previous time I went to this location I saw Tiffany. She was quick, thorough, and best of all I did not have much pain nor hair growth! It wasn’t until 4 weeks that It looked the way it does now. Tiffany will be going on maternity leave soon, so I will have to find myself another esthetician.
To their credit they did say they would have Holland re-​do my Brazilian at no charge. BUT, let’s face it ladies Brazilians are not the most comfortable thing in the world, so why would I want to go in for round 2 with someone that did not do a great Job the first time? If you want your kitty to look pretty and smooth for over 10 day, then I suggest you do not see Holland. She’s a nice girl, but she didn’t get the job done for me.

I’ve been a regular at Pretty Kitty for over a year now and I’ve been loyal to one particular aesthetician. Last week I went in and saw a new girl, she’s not even referenced in any of the Unilocal reviews. It was a typical Pretty Kitty experience, except I left realizing it is very important who you get. The girl was lovely and nice but I was disappointed with the end results, especially for how much I’m paying to come here ($ 55 is a lot!) Not going to lie, it was a sloppy job. But I booked my appointment last minute so beggars can’t be choosers. I’ve learned my lesson, plan in advance.
I still stand behind this establishment and plan to continue to come here but choosing carefully on who I receive service from. Hopefully the lovely young lady has gotten some practice in and will be much better going forward.

Just came here for my first Brazilian wax and they are amazing.
Made an appointment over the phone, no hassle. I told them it was my first time, so they gave me advice of don’ts before my appointment.
I got an appointment with Tiffany and she is so nice and professional! She made me feel really comfortable and at ease about it. I’m definitely going to make another appointment with her again.
As for the session & pain, I think it’s a type of pain everyone can take, it just hurts for a couple of seconds. To remind you again, this was my first time & I heard the first is always the most painful.
I definitely recommend this place and coming back again!
