History

Established in 2010.

Michele was born and raised in Orange County and fell in love with weddings when she was a teenager. Her passion and love for wedding planning developed further when she was an assistant to a veteran planner starting in 2007. After earning a wedding planning certification and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications Public Relations, Michele officially opened The Perfect Fairytale in March 2010.

Michele was born and raised in Orange County and fell in love with weddings when she was a teenager. Her passion and love for wedding planning developed further when she was an assistant to a veteran planner starting in 2007. After earning a wedding planning certification and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications Public Relations, Michele officially opened The Perfect Fairytale in March 2010.

Michele relocated to Roanoke, Virginia for a few years and moved The Perfect Fairytale with her. While planning weddings full time in Virginia, The Roanoke Wedding Planner Magazine contacted her to come on board as Editor & Creative Director. She truly enjoyed her time writing the magazine, planning 3 styled shoots per issue, and selling ads to local businesses.

She officially moved back home to Orange County in June 2015 and is now planning weddings throughout all of Southern California including Orange County, Los Angeles, Inland Empire, Big Bear and San Diego.

Michelle did an amazing job at our April wedding at the Mission Inn Hotel and Spa! She was detailed oriented, helpful, organized and professional. Moreover, she handled every aspect with grace and calm. Thanks to Michelle, my husband and I were able to completely focus on our union rather than on all the little details since we knew Michelle would take care of everything. When all is said and done, hiring Michelle as our wedding planner was the best decision we made!!!

Michele was the wedding planner for my best friends wedding and she was amazing! Being the maid of honor, I had a lot of weight on my shoulders and she took ALL of it off me.
Seriously, there wasn’t a single stress we had to worry about, down to making sure our hair and smiles were perfect (which of course is so important to us to have great pictures). She had all the minor details organized to a T. She has such a calming demeanor that was crucial for us that day. Of course nothing goes as planned and she was the best at making us feel it wasn’t a big deal and she had it under control. (The brides dress ripped and she had a sewing kit and was able to stitch it quick and we forgot the garter and she had a backup one!!!) She has the most creative and unique ideas that really made the day more personalized and special.

We worked with Lexi as our day-of wedding coordinator, and she was absolutely fantastic! First, don’t let the «day-of» package mislead you, when they say that they’re involved for the whole month leading up, they are not kidding. It was an enormous weight off our shoulders to be able to hand off all the final arrangement and coordination, which would have been a surprisingly toilsome process otherwise. Also, Lexi offered us a lot of great advice as we finalized various things on our side and, more importantly, when another vendor was less than agreeable. Come our wedding day, Lexi and her two assistants managed to keep everything running smoothly despite a thankfully short-lived torrential downpour 15-minutes before the start of our outdoor wedding. At no point during our wedding did we think or have to think about whether anything needed to be done beyond celebrating. At the same time, Lexi perfectly balanced making certain decisions without asking us and quickly checking in with us on matters that we would have wanted to have a say. We really couldn’t have asked for a better coordinator than Lexi!

I’m not sure that words can express just how fantastic Michele is at wedding planning. I was recently engaged, completely overwhelmed, and living in NY but planning a VA wedding. I knew I needed a wedding planner but was not familiar with the region so I started doing my research. The first time I met Michele we just clicked. She is super easy to get along with, extremely sweet, and truly has your best interest at heart. Most important, she is completely invested in making your wedding day exactly what you envisioned.
Michele immediately took control of all wedding details and things seemed to just fall into place. My husband and I decided to go with the full planning package and it was the best money we spent! She helped me every step of the way, sent countless e-mails, met every time I was in VA, and even helped me figure out how to deal with mother-of-the bride issues. Our venue was a very raw space and Michele was able to coordinate all the different vendors and stay within our budget. It was the wedding of our dreams and without Michele it would not have become a reality.
On their wedding day, most brides are running around and stressed to the max. I was neither due to Michele and can honestly say that I actually remember my wedding day and got to enjoy every moment of it! She took care of every last detail, made sure that my husband and I ate and made sure clean-up happened as planned.
I highly recommend Michele and The Perfect Fairytale. Trust me, you need her!
