Modern Paving

Gary designed a wonderful front yard remodel for us with pavers and artificial turf. He listened to what we wanted and really came through with the design and details. Once the crew started, they worked nonstop. Their attention to detail was crazy impressive. We have an area that wasn’t covered with stucco very well by the builder and requested to have the pavers as high as possible. They sent someone out to stucco what couldn’t be covered! I could not believe what an impressive job they did. They worked quickly and clean, showing respect for our property, such as asking if it was okay to leave some tools in the backyard. I also appreciated that they asked questions when they were unsure and made a few design suggestions when the original plan wouldn’t have worked like we thought. They also allowed us to DIY a few portions of the project to save a bit. I give them my highest recommendation. Prior to meeting with Modern Paving, we dealt with a string of flakes. I am so glad we chose Modern Paving.

I recently had Modern paving come out and remodel my entire front yard. I met with no less than 10 paver companies before choosing Modern Paving. They were the third company that I met with and Gary was the first sales rep to give me a quote on the spot. Since I had already met with a few companies I had some ideas in mind, but I was also open to any ideas that Gary might have.
I gave Gary my budget and the overall design plan. He was very helpful explaining what his company could accomplish for the budget that I had. Gary also offered some really great ideas that I hadn’t even thought of. For instance, he said that if we mixed 2 colors of pavers the impact would be greater than having them all one color. He also suggested an artificial turf that looks very realistic for a great price. The total project price that Gary quoted was very fair, it was almost half of what another company quoted for a similar design. Three of the companies that bid the job never even called me back.
Before we signed the contract with Modern Paving, I asked Gary if his crew could install LED step lights that I provided. I also wanted to run my own low voltage wiring and have every dirt area pre-​plumbed for drip lines. He had no problem with any of my requests. Some of the other companies told me they would prefer to sell me lights and install sprinklers. I was able to save money by planting my own plants, installing my own lights, and doing my own drip system. Once again, Gary was cool with all of it, he even offered suggestions for what type of plants to use.
On the first day of construction I could tell that I had hired the right company to do the job. The crew arrived promptly at 8:00 a.m. ready to work. Within 1 day, they completely removed all of my existing concrete walkways and my entire driveway. By day 2, they were already laying road base and removing my dead landscaping. These guys were total pros, they never wasted a trip in or out. They were either removing something or bringing supplies to the site whenever they came or went.
Day 3 they were finishing up with the road base and a bringing in sand for the paver installation. That night when I got home I routed my low voltage landscape wire and left my step lights out for the crew to install. On day 4 the pavers and wall material showed up and the crew began the installation.
Eight short days later my entire hardscape was completed and the crew installed my new artificial turf. I am very impressed with the amount of work, and the quality of work that was completed in such a short period of time. Modern Paving even did a few things that I would consider above and beyond the scope of the job. If you are looking to have pavers installed and want to deal with a group of true professionals, look no further. Modern Paving is a company that will get the job done quickly and correctly.

Our backyard was so unappealing that we never really enjoyed going outside. After many hours of research and viewing photos, we decided to rip everything out and replace the concrete with pavers, a patio cover and drought tolerant landscaping. We got several quotes, but were really impressed with the pavers that Modern Paving had done for someone we knew. Bill came out and gave us a quote and a plan for pavers & patio cover. He was professional, knowledgeable and very personable. His crew was EXCELLENT, they really knew what they were doing. We LOVE the work they did, in fact we also added a fire-​pit as we were so impressed. Our backyard is awesome and we’ve used it more in the last month than we used our backyard the whole 8 years we’ve lived here. Thank you Bill & Modern Paving you are the BEST!

Crazy!!! Driving looking for it but cant find the exact address! Called the #. But the lady said there is no such office! Hey, why you put your address here at Rancho Cucamonga when there is none. I was excited to see and get a quote but a huge turn off.

My backyard was transformed when we decided to remove much of our grass. MP did the work in a reasonable time frame and they clean the area well following. I am impressed with the skill level of the crew who did an awesome job with the cuts of pavers and block work done on my yard.

I made an appointment with this company and Gary set us up for a Sat. June 6 appointment at 10am. It’s 2:03pm now. No show! No call! No nothing! I have been waiting wasting time. Very DISAPPOINTING! If I was the owner of this business I’d save my money for advertising because you’re just wasting your funds. Potential customers are responding to your ads but your people aren’t following through.

We wanted to replace our driveway a few years back. Got a few different quotes for a new cement driveway. It was really expensive. If we were going to spend that kind of money, I might as well get something I love. So we got a few quotes for pavers. Modern Paving was by far the most reasonable. The quote he gave us wad about the same as a new cement driveway. So we went with the pavers. Nabil was great to work with. He was responsed to all my calls. They were fast and efficient. So we ended up paving the driveway, front porch and part of the back yard.
Fast forward 3 years, we just removed the front lawn to conserve water. Thought about flag stones but decides on the pavers again. Nabil can through for us again.
The details and craftsmanship were great. The walkway and wall was exactly want I wanted. We couldn’t be happier.

Two years ago we had Modern Paving come out and do our pool and backyard. We were very pleased with the work they did. Recently we had a paver sinking, I called Nabil and he got a guy out to the house within two days to fix the problem. everything is looking good. They do good work.

Very happy with modern paving, Frank is really a good designer, no pressure what so ever. He recommended beautiful stones and colors for my house, my wife and I were very impressed.

He is the most knowledgeable and honest guy in the business you’ll ever meet. Everything Nabill promised was actually delivered. From a superior product in our pavers, great design that he helped build. Our backyard was done very fast and very professionally we are so happy that we found Nabill with Modern Paving it was such a joy to work with them to create our wonderful beautiful dream backyard for our family to enjoy for the years to come. I highly recommend them. If we ever move we will use them again to create our new backyard.

My wife and I used Modern Paving almost exactly two years ago to have our back patio, front walkway, and porch paved with paving stones and were extremely happy with the work they performed, so much so that we decided to have them do the same thing with the same type of paving stones with our side yard and the borders on both sides of our house in the front. This job concluded today and they did just as good of a job as they did two years ago! Several guys worked hard on the job for two days. This job was a bit smaller than the job two years ago. The guy on the crew we communicated with the most was Andy who is a very nice person to deal with but all of them were hard workers and were nice. Like two years ago, they did a beautiful job and were very neat and clean with the cleanup. From our experience most contractors are either not reliable, incompetent, dishonest or any combination of the three but Modern Paving is exceptional and my wife and I would highly recommend them. We also very much like the owner, Nabil. I think most people don’t realize how much skill is involved to do this job right and it is absolutely not an easy job of which I had no idea until I watched them perform their work, both two years ago and this time. By the way, the work we had done by them two years ago looks as good now as it did two years ago when completed! We had them put sealant on all the paving stones both times which seems to be a good idea.

We are current going through very horrible experience with Morden Paving. Please think twice before you hire them. They took a job for both front driveway and backyard.
Once order was taken the tone and approach was totally changed from Steve (Sales person) and was very aggrieve with us in this tone.
We asked construction engineer to check our site before handling payment and signing contract. Gary came and told us no issues with our steps and then each day we found some new issue with steps and then he blamed our gardner for poor landscaping job which was Gary was supposed to verify. Then in options they asked us to add a step which we did not want and was step main reason we did a paver job.
Height was today when onsite labor told us they are short on material (They asked us to work on weekend so we changed all our plans to accommodate them on their request) the Gary blasted us via messages which we had nothing to do with. They ordered material. their labor did job and whenever we asked Gary to come and check job he kept telling us we know what we are doing.
When I called he ignore dot pick his phone and told its weekend. Why then their team asked us permission on weekend. Now with lack of material the team is not going to work on sunday.
Please hire this company at your risk. As a fellow customer I hope y=non of you go through this kind of treatment.

I had modern paving replace a driveway and patio for me a year ago. Total cost was a little over $ 20k. Decide I should wait a year to see how the work stood up.
Well, it’s been a year, and I’m a little disappointed in the driveway. The pavers are falling off the edge, causing larger gaps between the pavers than should be there. I don’t know how much more the edges will settle but I hope it stops soon.
Other than that, the rest of the work still looks good.

Modern paving did really good job on my backyard. My husband and I very satisfied. I highly recommend these guys. They know what they’re doing. Very detail oriented.

Ran across Modern Paving on Unilocal.Contacted a few paver companies and they either did not call back, were no shows on appt, or a broker of sorts; guess they all have enough money in their coffers.
Frank showed up on time, was very thorough, and gave me a extremely competitive pricing (compared to the company that you hear on the radio.) I told Frank I would need some time, he left me alone did not hound me. When I was ready I contacted him and the job started within 3 days.
The first day construction began Matt and his crew showed up, had the material down on day one. 4 days later I had a beautiful patio and fire pit could not believe how fast the process went.
My wife and I are over the moon with the professionalism of Frank and the efficient, clean, informative, installation process.
Do not overlook Modern Paving, its how contractors should work.

I scheduled an appointment with Gary, who never showed up! This tells me a lot about how they do business.

These guys are the best in the paving and outdoor living business. We had 1200 SF of stone pavers, 30 feet long custom seating bench with beautiful cast in place cap, and stone veneer, and custom lighting. All work was beautifully done on time and at a great price! Would recommend Nabil and his dedicated staff to anyone!

Nabil, Matt, and their crew are just fabulous. The design is perfect and our 2200 sq. foot driveway is beautiful. The employees were always on time, hard-​working, and respectful of our property. They are perfectionists and it shows in their attention to detail. I couldn’t be more pleased with the results and I highly recommend this company for any of your paving needs.

Modern Paving completed the paving and turf for the front and sides of our house today and the results were BEYOND my expectations! Total transformation. As they were wrapping up today we had 4 different neighbors come up and ask for business cards, and I’ve noticed a couple cars this evening slow down and take down the info from the Modern Paving sign that we still have on the lawn.
Nabil was great and worked with our budget and gave us plenty of suggestions and ideas that we took advantage of in our yard’s design. Gabriel and his crew were incredible; they were fast and their work is superb. One of the first things I checked were the corners and behind areas that were less visible, the attention to detail was all there in their work. I was impressed from start to finish.
I’ve already suggested them to my sister in law who should be giving them a call soon! I look forward to calling Nabil again for a couple of future projects that my wife and I have in mind.

We hired Modern Paving for our backyard and they were awesome! Nabil was extremely responsive, great at communicating throughout the whole process, and was always very patient with us. He was very thorough in answering all of our questions.
