Husband and wife team, Dr. Thomas and Dr. Shirley Mercer provide comprehensive dental care for patients age 3 to 103. In addition to the gentle dental care you will receive, we are an affordable dentist so it is gentler on your wallet as well!

Our practice is laser certified, Invisalign certified, and ZOOM! Whitening certified. We offer every treatment from simple cleanings and checkup exams to more complex procedures like root canals, cosmetic dentistry, and laser dentistry. Business Owner

Dr. Shirley Mercer has lived her whole life in the Inland Empire and is a fourth generation dentist. Dr. Shirley met her husband Dr. Thomas Mercer in dental school and they have been serving the Inland Empire in a family oriented, cosmetic dental practice ever since. They are raising four children, the oldest of which is studying dentistry at Loma Linda University so he can join his parents in their dental practice.

My wife, two boys, and I all returned to Drs. Mercer and Mercer for exams and teeth cleaning. My teeth are in good shape, but my gums are receding. I need to floss everyday, brush with a soft toothbrush, and use a water pick. My boys had significant calculus and needed a thorough cleaning. They were surprised and gentle it was and how much better their mouths felt. It was evident they were brushing wrong and needed to know how to brush better. They are excited to use a water pick to help their oral health. We are very happy with Drs. Mercer and Mercer and highly recommend them.

Tom and Shirley are real professionals in their field, I would highly recommend their work. I came into the office for a cleaning and x-​rays during which the hygienist was thorough and careful to explain everything that she was doing. For my return visit to repair a few cavities I was given careful and professional treatment by both Tom and Shirley. The numbing process was done delicately and throughout the procedure my comfort was considered. The work they did turned out great and the entire staff was thoughtful and gracious in my aftercare needs. Good clean family-​friendly office and attentive attitudes!

Drs. Mercer and Mercer have been my dentists since about 2005. They are as good as it gets. They are always cheerful and answer any questions I have. I also never feel rushed here which is awesome. I have had multiple cavities filled by them which were virtually painless. Their vast experience shows in all that they do. My friends have testified that their dentists have charge them for unnecessary procedures and treatments, but that has never been the case for me.
My dental hygenist, Michele, is also top-​notch. She is thorough and detail-​oriented. She is big on education and is always giving me new information about how to avoid periodontal disease.
This is a family business that is honest, cheerful, and experienced. If you’re looking for a dentist, they are the absolute best. I recently moved to West LA and will make the drive to Rancho because they are that great!

Dr and Dr Mercer are by far the best dentists you will find anywhere. Their office is always clean and the staff are very pleasant to work with.

Dr Tom and Dr Shirley Mercer have been my dentists for 20 years+. They have always provided the most current treatment available. They also go above and beyond what I’d expect in patient care. They stayed late on a Friday afternoon to wait for our son who had broken off his front tooth in a sports accident.
I have previously recommended them to friends and co-​workers for dental care and will continue to do so. You can’t ask for nicer, more professional dentists and staff.

WARNING!!! They will try to steal from you!!! I hadn’t thought to Unilocal about a dentist, but I’m glad I am doing this! I went here a few years ago, and I was told on my first appointment that I had 8 cavities, after a lifetime with zero. I didn’t have the money to fill them at the time and returned 6 months later. At this time they told me I had 11, so I had to return later, again. After this, I found a new dentist. After x-​rays, I was informed I HAD ONLY 4 CAVITIES!!! I was so happy that their lack of personable skills drove me to another dentist. I would have spent so much wasted money and time there. Would they have actually drilled and filled my teeth, or just lied and said they did? If you decide to go here anyway, make sure you have proof of any procedure they tell you is necessary BEFORE you allow them to proceed. Crooks!

I left a previous dentist in an ambulance (and almost another) because of their inattention to my anaesthetic sensitivity. Not so with Dr. (Shirley) Mercer, who pays close attention to details like this. She genuinely cares about the comfort of her patients, and this yields a comfortable experience with as little pain as I can imagine possible. Even the hygienists have experienced, precise, careful touches; no «oops, sorry» slips with the sharp tools here!

I am very pleased with the treatment that Dr. Shirley Mercer provides. She is friendly, knowledgeable, and highly experienced. I am always a little nervous about going to the dentist but she is very calming. She explains exactly what she is going to do before any procedure. The office staff is also very friendly. I grew up in a small town in the Midwest and went to a small, family run dentist office where everyone knew who you were. When we moved here a few years ago I was nervous to try a new dentist. I went to one and hated it. Then we found the Mercers. It is a small, family run, friendly office. I LOVE it. Everyone there is so friendly! The receptionist is so kind and fun to talk to while you’re waiting for your appointment. I’ve seen a couple hygienists and both were so sweet and very professional, but personable. I’ve also seen both Dr. Shirley and Dr. Thomas Mercer. They were both excellent and thorough. :-). I enjoy going in.

One time I needed a root canal. You know how scary and painful a root canal can be. Dr. Shirley was able to give me a painless root canal! It didn’t hurt during the procedure or after! I would definitely recommend Dr. Shirley for those of you who want to go to a dentist who will not hurt you.

I hate dentists and always have and dr. Shirley is honestly the first dentist I let work on me without fuss! She’s great with everyone and always makes sure you are comfortable. The whole staff is very personable and remembers who you are and things you told them! It’s a great place to get good quality dental work without so much pain. I tilde her 6 months ago I was going to go to Alaska in July and she remembered and asked me to bring her back pictures. Overall looovveeee this place!

Dr Shirlely Mercer is a very professional and competent dentist. She is caring and comforting and is sensitive to how you feel when undergoing treatment. I have no reservations in recommending her. BTW, She operates there with her husband and other family members. They are all very nice folks. If you are new to town, I encourage you to visit them for your dental work!

Amazing Dentists!!! Both he and Shirley are wonderful. When they tell you this won’t hurt, they mean it. They are the only dentists I will go to or refer.
