Wow, I would have never thought I would be writing a positive review at a DMV, lol. The office was very nice, parking was convenient, and building was clean and organized. I made an appointment prior and was assisted within minutes upon my arrival. The clerks at Window #6 and #7 were very cheerful, accommodating, and friendly. I highly recommend this office if you have to visit the DMV !

I have been here before but today I had a great experience. Found a parking spot right away– 10:55am– got in general line (no appt), filled out DL 44 form to renew license– eye test, pic and written test– back at my car and getting in at 11:32 am! This DMV usually has a long line suppose I missed the morning and lunch crowd. RC DMV is ALWAYS clean, organized and pretty decent customer service. Warning to those who want to hit this one first thing in the morning though– there is a preacher from a nearby church that has a permit to preach to the people waiting in line– he yells at the top of his lungs about hellfire etc passing out flyer and little bibles really can’t escape him– I heard it for nearly 45 minutes when I went to renew my registration and thought showing up before DMV opened would be a good idea. (HE IS THERE EVERY MORNING). Also– you are not allowed to even take bottled water in here– they will make you get rid of it. Security will tell you there is a public fountain– NOOOOOPE.

Worst service ever… went there for the behind the wheel test and they treated us like we were trash, racism at its best… thanks to one of the managers we could fix the issue that this workers didnt know how to fix… train your employees because they dont know what they are doing…

This place is horrible! The system went down and they are so rude! The ladies who work the the front talk to you like your a child. I understand it’s your having technical problems but that’s not my problem no need to be so rude.

Took my test here for my drivers license test and it was my first time here. It’s extremely organized and clean unlike the pomona one and I was treated nicely and with respect (not like the pomona one). My examiner was hella cool and I will definitely come to this DMV for all of my DMV needs.

I know there’s probably no such thing as a fantastic time at the DMV but oh my goodness, these workers treat us like we don’t matter. I understand there’s A LOT of people, but man, have some decency to respect us.
MAKE AN APPOINTMENT! I went in without one just because I needed to ask questions about getting a California license when I have an out of state license. So I stood in the «no appointment» line & I was 5^th? But it took 30 – 60 minutes to get through that line because there’s 2 other lines next to you (appt line). So I asked my question so I could be more prepared when I come back again. But here’s the ridiculous part — I made the appointment and got there at 2:20pm for my 2:30pm appointment. It was STILL a 30 – 45 minute wait because of the volume of people. But what grinds my gears is that that line took so long but it was just a line to get a number for another line so you’re just waiting for days.
That wait wasn’t as long and the person that helped me was actually really friendly which I appreciated. Everyone after that just sucked. The person working the picture taking area was rude & her attitude just felt like we were stupid. And the area to take your written test was just as bad. It didn’t matter how old you were, to them, you are invisible. Luckily I passed so I was in a good mood but as I was leaving, I had to ask one question. I politely said «excuse me» and raised my hand to get their attention. They looked at me and kept walking away! Omg, just so rude! I had to keep walking with the guy to get his attention AGAIN. And he wasn’t even helping anyone.
Overall, here’s the advice. Don’t expect much. Take maybe 4 hours of your schedule dedicated to the DMV to be on the safe side & make an appointment. It’s easy, just go online. Rant over!

Stay away from this DMV sorry to say the service sucks. I went there to register my YOM plates and I keep getting letters from sacromento dmv that information is not filled out correctly. I’ve been going back 4 times and no one knows there job. besides it all I had to wait for them to give me a temporary and I waited an hour while everyone behind the counter were busy doing nothing. my advice to DMV, train your employees before they get the job

So let me start at the top. The only reason I give it two stars is because the wait time compared to the Pomona branch is just great. Even when busy its still faster. Now for the downsides. Parking SUCKS. I get there at 7am to ensure a spot. Keep in mind they open at 8. After you get passed that you have to put up with a security guard who just loves to either interupt or make you look like an idiot by talking back. By the way who hires a security guard skinnier than most American models? id love to watch her try to break up a fight. Next up, the workers. Once again they LOVE to interupt you before you can finish and even talk you in a tone that just makes you sound stupid. All I can say is for that goverment pay check they should at least put some effort into their job

A shit ton of parking, i hate DMV, but this was tolerable.

I visited to renew my vehicle salesperson license. Everyone else was EXTREMELY helpful. However, the gentleman clerk at Rancho Cucamonga DMV Camera A on 1÷3÷2013 at 12:20pm was very rude. His question «so what would a round about estimate on a 2013 civic cost» in a monotone voice and mournful grimace followed by «You see, I was just checking to see if you’d lie to me…» Just because some salesperson mistreated him in the past doesn’t give him rights to insult me for my occupation.

Amazingly efficient w appt! 9 am appt and was out by 9:04.

Ever been in a DMV and been out in 25 minutes? Yup. I did make an appointment, but there was TONS of parking. Well not tons, but a lot for a DMV office. I came to renew my license and pay for my vehicle registration. The other key here is to be COURTEOUS to the staff. This works well here (unlike the Pasadena DMV office, which requred a supervisor and a security guard, because I refused to wait 6 – 8 weeks for a refund because they accidentally entered an extra 0 on the credit card terminal).

Every year we pay registration fees to the California Department of Motor Vehicles and every year I pay my fees, receive my tags and registration and think nothing more of it. This year, like every other year, the registration fee came with a smog test. I got the test, payed my fees and then nothing… waited for weeks.
Now, I was kind of worried, being out of registration and having old tags on the vehicle wasn’t comforting. I called DMV and waited on hold for like 45 minutes before giving up. The only thing left to do was visit the DMV.
Luckily, I made an appointment (remember this part folks… you’ll be quizzed later) and showed up early. I had my license plate number, my proof of insurance and other paperwork that showed that I paid my fees. The line to get into Rancho Cucamonga DMV was huge! That was just the line to get a number so you could wait in line. Does that even make sense? A line to wait in line, but I suppose some organization is better than chaos.
Glancing to my right, I noticed an «APPOINTMENTS ONLY» line. It was three people deep and moving quickly. I got my number and before I started looking for a seat, my number was called. I looked around at all these people and wondered why they didn’t make an appointment.
I must have been in and out of there in less than 10 minutes. I got lucky with the parking. Another reason why you should make an appointment and show up early. The show up early part is for the parking.
The parking sucked. The staff was courteous. The place was clean. There was a metric ass-​load of people there waiting without an appointment. I don’t ever want to go back there again…

hate going to the DMV with a passion!

The bf and I had a 10am appointment and were in and out in 40 minutes. We were greeted kindly at the door, given our numbers and waited less than 10 minutes to be called. When my number was up, the rep, Vicki P, was quick and so pleasant. She smiled a lot and I felt like she genuinely cared about my being there. She was personable, as was the young lady who took our picture. Overall a SURPRISINGLY good experience at the DMV! Wouldn’t mind going back (with an early appointment!).

This place is packed and the line is fackin long every single day. Be prepared to wait about and hour 30 minutes outside, and another hour or two when you get inside. Plus, there are crazy, sneaky, ninja-​like cutters here so be prepared to lay the smack down on them. But hey, its the DMV, kinda expect it right? Atleast the employees were nice.

I seriously felt sorry for all those people who took a day out of their life to sit up in this place… I gave it an extra star because I made an appointment and was out of there in 20 minutes.
My birthday is coming up and it was that time again to renew my license. «Damn it’s been 5 years already?!» Made an appointment on the DMV’s website about a month ago to ensure my license would be renewed on time and I wouldn’t be wasting time sitting around. The appointment line moved pretty quickly but this place was MAAAD packed. Not to mention the line outside. Pretty hot inside and definitely not enough seating. Parking here suuuucks. Located in an industrial park of Rancho, there’s no surrounding places to park (across the street is a school and houses). If you have an appointment, get there way early to make sure you have somewhere to park. The lady working the appointment counter was «eh», I really don’t know why these people have to have attitudes or not really be friendly. I filled out my paperwork and shortly after my number was called, I gave another lady my paperwork and headed to the photo center. Did I mention I always retake my photo and actually get dolled up for that? :) Some lady behind me for the photo told me she’d be there for 3 hours… HELL NO!
They told me my new license would be in the mail and to have a nice day. Man am I glad I’ll FINALLY have that red line that says «21 in 2006» taken off! See you in 5 years DMV ;)

That just sucks.
Oh well, like they say, things are so laid back in California and Rancho Cucamonga is no exception. I am, after all, a Californian at heart.
I could care less. Everyone knows that they have to wait going into a DMV.
I went in yesterday to renew my driver’s license at 1:07 PM. According to the website at 11:30 AM, I was supposed to wait approximately 52 minutes for walk-​ins. Those who had appointments waited considerably less.
I went to the information desk first, which was only 8 people deep and got my ticket G169. They were at G130. But they also have J numbers, B numbers, and some were going backwards on their KENO– I mean «Now Serving» screen.
–There were no mad faces to be seen anywhere.
–EVERYone was patient. WTF?!
–It was fun people watching.
–It’s not ghetto there whatsoever. The cool people and not so cool people are well balanced.
–I saw a guy that looked like a 45-​year old Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite.
–I saw a few hot chicks impatiently waiting their turn and changing seats all the time.
–There were some (ex)-gang members there all tatted up and in their pajamas and black Bruce Lee slippers.
–I saw «Brahs» there with their Famous black caps, super black shades, black shirts, black skater shoes and black long shorts, no, short pants, no, long shorts, no, long pants.
–For you families and parents out there, I saw families there too and parents with their kids — both teenage and old age parents alike.
–Some people were wise and brought a magazine to read.
–I heard and saw no arguments whatsoever except the rent-​a-​cop lady shooing an Asian college girl and her Arab girlfriend away. Not cool. Then again, maybe they were trying to cut in line.
–What the??? It was about 2 o’clock and I noticed that both the appointment and walk-​in lines went out the door and wrapped around the building nearly 50 people or more deep. This now became the entrance only door.
–There were less people sitting around me.
–I heard one person actually whistling to the tunes playing through the ceiling speakers.
–G169! YES! I tell myself heading over to Window 8. The lady there was really nice.
–She even had me go to a few other eye charts because there was a post in the way, but really, my right contact lense was blurry.
–I waited in an another line to get my picture taken, but there were only two people in front.
–The picture-​thumbprint lady was gone for a while and I wasn’t sure if the first person in line ever got help. Seven minutes or so later, she finally came through.
–Picture-​thumbprint lady didn’t seem like she wanted to be there. I don’t blame her, ’cause neither did I.
–At least the place has some semblance of organization.
So the moral of the story is go to the Pomona, go to Fontana, heck, go to the San Bernardino branches. You’ll experience monumentally less wait times. But I’m guessing it’s because they’re less friendlier or its neighborhoods are more dangerous. Whatever. I went because it was closer to Costco and we had to go shopping there.
Bring a book, bring your iPod, paint while you’re there, text, talk to people next to you and make friends or do absolutely nothing like I did and wait forever patiently because you’ll never get the chance to renew your license there again for a while.
I left at 2:38 PM. If it weren’t for the long wait I would’ve given it a couple more stars.
Ehhh… I’ll give it one more star. Because I’m a Californian.

By that statement, I truly believe I deserve a hug.
Gosh~ paying a visit at the DMV is just a nightmare, it is certainly something a normal person with the right sets of mind would like to ignore~ but, you know how it is~
at times, you just have to «SUCK-​IT-​UP» and go through with it~
Actually~ in all fairness~ the people who had assisted me, were nothing but wonderful~
But, as any government services compound, it is just not a pleasant place spend your lovely Friday morning.

If you make an appointment in advance, it is gonna be a speedy one for you~ No one wants to stay at DMV any second longer if not necessary, so, things were moving right along quit fast.

Fantastic! The front counter, the photo lady, the exam lady~
they are all very sweet and equip with sense of humor~
They certainly made my experience at the DMV much smoother~
So~ I think a Three Star out of the Five for public services agency is a very impressive mark already! ^^
