My son is in a major train phase — Thomas is his go-to toy — and he loves riding the Choo Choo Monga Express. Both conductors who we regularly see are great and super friendly. Jack, who we usually see on Saturday and Sunday mornings is great with the kids and always shares stories of the goings-on. Little ones ride free with the paying adult — it escapes me now at what age they need their own ticket — but we buy the 10 ride cards for $ 20 which saves $ 10 over buying individual tickets at $ 3 each. The only negative on the adults is that it is a super bumpy ride over the cobblestone path around the central plaza. I put my son on my lap so he is buffered but if you have back problems might be better off to bring a cushion with you! The ticket booth is between Williams Sonoma and Pottery Barn and the line forms there to board. The train itself is pretty slick — electric powered with well built wooden cars and integrated speakers that they play music through. We often park in the 30 minute area without meters right behind William Sonoma and ride a couple rounds and then head out. Easy in and out and a fun treat for the little one.
