Heartstoppers Haunted House

Not bad in terms of haunted houses. I haven’t been to a haunted house in a long time, but I went because my girlfriend wanted to go. They had a few decent scares that shocked me, and it was cool to see all the work that went into the decorations. There was one haunted house that was all dark and I really disliked that one because I spent the entire time trying to find my way and avoid the walls and didn’t even notice when they were trying to scare me. Apart from the 1^st haunted house, the lines were not bad with only around 10 – 15 minute waits.
Definitely worth going just to check it out, and if you really wanna have fun, bring some friends that get scared and scream easily. =P

This place wasn’t what I expected it to be. All for haunted attractions lacked in production. The actors were predictable, there was no out of the ordinary scares. It was not worth the $ 30 for the vip wristband. The malice in Wonderland wasn’t scary whatsoever. Ridiculous I must say! The only positive about this place was the employees they were very nice.

Boring and a huge rip off. There’s four mazes but they’re all super short. I just spent 45 minutes there including parking, buying tickets, etc. and still made it through every maze in that short amount of time (I did pay for the fast pass wristband… otherwise I would’ve been there a lot longer cause the regular wait lines were hella long).
The acting was meh. The actors just rely on screaming at you loudly, but it’s all super predictable. The «Malice in Wonderland» maze was very open… they pretty much made no attempt to make that maze scary at all. You can’t even really call it a maze as it was completely open and you could see everything in front of you. The Tomb of Shadows maze was just a pitch black maze. Pretty much cost Heartstoppers next to nothing to build and staff… lame.
At the «Malice in Wonderland» maze I got a bucket water thrown at me at the end leaving me soaked. I was pretty annoyed as that didn’t add to the experience at all. I came to get scared, not to get soaked. I don’t see the point. Getting a bucket of water thrown at you isn’t going to scare anyone; all it accomplishes is giving them an uncomfortable car ride home.
One of the staff members was also pretty rude to me when I had my phone out, even though the person who marked off my wristband had not told me I wasn’t allowed to have my phone out. Jeez, she could have just told me nicely and I would’ve put it away.

Had a great time!!! I went last night with my boyfriend and sister, the scares started right away even while we waited in line. The lines were really long but they moved pretty quickly, about a 10 – 15 minute wait per house.
We got there around 9pm and didn’t end up leaving until 11ish. We made sure to go through all 4 haunted houses and the first, asylum, was the best. Definitely will be going back next year!

Lol this place are pretty fun thou the actress is really cool they really scared me maybe because of when they scream so loud lol.

The second one it’s pretty cool it’s like a Alice in wonderland lol really nice for a kids.

Best Haunted House for the value. 4 Haunted Houses for $ 20! AWESOME! Malice was our favorite. Everything was great. The characters and decorations were very well done. Everyone was really accommodating as well for little ones.

2^nd year back and just as fun as last year, hands down best haunt in the area, get there early and lines are not terrible. The new Malice in Underland was far superior to Bayou last year. If you are expecting Universal Horror nights you should go to Hollywood, if you are looking for a fun night out and a great time go to Heartstoppers…

Great haunted house, great talent, sets, and really creepy ambiance! I see alot of complaints here about lines, which is kind of a B.S. thing to rate a haunted house or really any amusement park by. When you go to disneyland, or sunsplash, or anything like that, do you rate it by the quality of the lines? No! You rate it by the quality of the attractions! Besides, it’s you’re own fault if you get to a place 2 hours after it opens and have to wait in a long line. If you get to heartstoppers early, like we did, you can easily avoid any lines, especially if you get the red wrist band instead of the white for an extra 10 bucks. I came with 5 others and finished after about an hour and a half, and it was a blast!

Disappointing!!! Dropped off my teenagers at 8:15 and received a call at 8:45 ton pick them up. Paid the extra $ 10 to prevent them from having to wait in line but also wanted them to have more than a half an hour of fun!!! For the price admission it should allow more than one walk through of each haunted house. Feeling extremely ripped off!!!

I had so much fun. Went Sat night and paid for front of the line. Saved us a lot of time. Yeah it’s pricey but I thought it was worth it.

Great local spot for your Halloween haunts. We paid the extra money for a fancy pants wrist pan (vip lines) well worth it if you don’t want to spend all night in line. Costumes, makeup and animatronics were great. They also offer a themed photo session for additional fee. A couple haunts were scarier than others but that’s how it goes. I would definitely return.

Great entertainment. Went on a Sunday evening around 9. The lines were not long, and the characters walking around the event were creepy and did a good job keeping my boyfriends mom on her toes. She gets scared easily and I think they could tell– which made it more fun. Indoor decorations were also good, they sell water, and have indoor bathrooms.
Upside: the indoor houses were good. Good effect and use of lighting, suspenseful full characters inside, and a good amount of scary surprises.
Downside: outdoor house was a little to open and spread out to be scary. You could see what was coming next, but was still fun.
Overall worth the $ 20!And free parking:)

So here’s the deal first and foremost pay the extra 10 bucks for the red wrist band. We did and got VIP front of the line access. A lady got mad cause we jumped right in front of her, well dish out the extra 10 bucks and we wouldn’t have this problem. On the other hand waiting on a 2 hour line for a mediocre maze wouldve sucked.
One maze was completely dark with no actors in it. Pretty lack luster if you ask me. Actors kinda half assed it. For the price you pay you wish for a little more. Bottom line if you don’t pay for the extra 10 for the wrist band. (30 bucks all together) you will wait in line way longer than the maze. (2 hours for each maze x 4 mazes = too long)

This haunted house was impressive as always. There were four haunted houses and the first one we waited in line for took almost an hour and a half. After that one we went to the ticket booth and asked to pay the upgrade fee to vip. They were extremely accommodating and allowed us to upgrade without hassle. We finished the other three in an hour and had a blast. Words of wisdom are just pay the extra ten dollars a ticket because it’s well worth it. :-)

Great time! Took two teenage girls who really loved it! The Tombs of Shadows was too much for one of them, its claustrophobic to say the least. Malice in Wonderland was very cool with elaborate costumes that were very detailed. The décor is fun, festive, and spooky! Tons of photo opportunities with props or actors that are walking around! Refreshments sold inside (water, sarsaparilla, root-​beer, etc) Bathrooms inside and out. Parking wasn’t bad, felt far but the walk was easy.

My favorite haunted house in the Sacramento area ! I’ve been visiting heartstoppers every october for the past several years. They’ve moved locations during the years and hopefully they make the old mineshaft home for good ! The ambience of this location is perfect for a fun haunt ! They really go all out with the decorations and the actors are really pretty amazing and gets into character ! There are four haunts that you get to visit here for the price of admission. It’s about 20 $ to enter … But every year they always have a groupon for half off. The haunts are all unique. mAlice in Underland was a fun «scary» one that’s set up outside on the old mini golf course .the costumes were so elaborate and fun !! The second and third haunts are literally underground in the «mineshaft «and I will say is the most «scariest» (although none are really all that scary) because you are in complete darkness !!! As in you can not even see an inch in front of your face ! Haha but it was fun .just hold on to your friends tight ! The last haunted house was the asylum which was quite creepy ! Overall I absolutely enjoyed it. Here’s some good tips … Parking is plentiful and free, no bathrooms inside, they have portapotties, have some water with you or in the car, cuz they ran out completely of water and lemonade, they had awesome kettle corn. Don’t mind the long lines too much. Interesting zombie watching … Just be a kid again and enjoy ! Heartstoppers always gets me in the mood for Halloween. :)

This was simply not worth it.
To say I’m in to Halloween is putting it mildly. So I was really looking forward to checking out this haunted house that was built out at the abandoned mini golf place off of Hwy 50 in Rancho. Unfortunately, the experience really lacked.
Be prepared to walk. A lot. You are going to have to treck across a bafly laid out parking lot. The haunts (there are 4) take up quite a lot of ground as well, with several sets of stairs. Ok for my group, but this could be an issue for some.
This is beyond expensive for what you get. But if you are deadset on going make sure you bust out the extra $ 10 and get the red wristband. We were able to walk right up to each attraction and spend an hour tops at the whole place.
There were a few good prop costumes throughout, but most of the actors were wearing masks (and not the special FX makeup you will see elsewhere) and were jumping out in front of you in the most predictable places… oh look a dude in a bunny costume hiding behind a bush that has no leaves. Um yeah we see you. And since when is an Alice in Wonderland theme scary? L.A.M.E.
One of the 4 attractions was also complete and utter darkness. This was laughable. Literally. We giggled our way through in a conga line. Nothing to it except the occasional annoying person turned around and smacking in to you or turning on their cell phone so the employees start screaming to turn off the light.
Unfortunately, the scariest thing about this place was the lines. Won’t be back next year.

Heart stoppers is my absolute favorite haunted house to go to. Specifically for the tomb of Shadows. It’s completely pitch black and you get lost very easily. It doesn’t need actors to scare you, your mind does the job which I think is way more scary. Tickets are reasonably priced! Worth the trip.

I went on the 3^rd of October and there wasn’t a lot of people. They had 4 attractions and we finished them very quickly (less than an hour). It was NOT scary that much. I would recommend this place for kids wanting to do scary stuff, but too afraid. The only time I actually jumped was when a freak girl screamed in my ear. She did it twice. Honestly, my ears were ringing for the rest of the night. They had kids also trying (but failing) too scare us too. I thought that was silly because they were aged from 9 – 13, and were so short that it wasn’t scary. Anywho, it was enjoyable visit, but only an average.

Groupon had a special two weeks ago 4 tickets for $ 44. Would have been a great deal if I had not lost my validated downtown plaza parking ticket which I then I had to pay $ 15! Yuck!
Anyway the haunted house was fun, went with my twin 16 year old boys and they were even a little scared. I liked the completely dark house which had me freaked out. Sunday night was perfect not very busy and no lines. Costumes were great and actors did a great job.
