I bought a brand new travel trailer from Brad at Folsom Lake RV. I drove it home and parked it, then the stabalizer jack had a wire rip out of the motor. I couldnt believe my new trailer was already having problems. I went and seen Carl in the service department, hw made appointment for me and got me in within a week. Carl told me not to worry that they stood by there one year warranty from day of sale. Hwe had it fixed and told me to come pick it up. That guy Carl is a joy to deal with cause he took care of me without paying a dime. Thanks Carl!

The owners of Folsom Lake RV have resumed local control of the dealership and, after reading my first Unilocal review, have really gone the extra mile to make amends for the poor warranty service on the trailer I bought from them. I have received a gift certificate, a handwritten card, and a call from the original owner who has resumed control. This does not negate the poor performance a year ago, and I have no new experience by which to evaluate the firm, but the deep and vigorous response now makes me believe they have changed and I would cautiously take my business back to them.

I want to thank Brad and Ashley for helping me with the purchase of my 2009 Colorado. They made the experience Amazing and pressure free! And Tyler did an Awesome job on the delivery! This place Rocks!

I purchased my fifth wheel trailer from Folsom Lake RV it was the greatest experience buying an RV from them. They kept my grandchildren busy what we looked back and forth through a number of trailers. Courtney Quinton was very patient with us as we look back and forth between the different trailers for the right one for me. We love our new RV-​this is our 3^rd. #FolsomLakeRV However has THE worst customer service, & service area. We have taken our brand new RV in to be «touched up» after or initial walk-​two to three times & they STILL have not completed «simple items”-grease mark, base board, new cupboard door, crown molding– it’s 84 miles round trip & weeks in the shop… May want to consider all reviews before purchasing here. Don’t even get us started on the awning that has a hole in it. And rolls up inside out… Literally the camper was brand new– these are items we pointed out in our walk-​thru–

I was on my way to Tahoe for weekend camping trip and I lost my lights and brakes on my travel trailer I was in a pinch it was 3:00pm on a Friday and Matthew (service mgr.) squeezed me in and found the problem and fixed it with in an hour! Totally saved our trip… I have owned several RVs and have received service from several dealerships this service dept. And the entire staff was the friendliest, most helpful staff I’ve ever dealt with. They have won my family and I over!!! Would most definitely recommend to All… Awesome Service Department, and will be most definitely purchasing my next RV from Folsom Lake RV!

Nice facility, clean, organized and friendly staff but sadly I didn’t have a great experience. I called to look into pricing and availability to have a brake controller installed on my old (1992) Ford Truck. I was told over the phone, approx. $ 350 (parts & Labor) if the truck was already wired for the brake controller, more if not but I would have to bring it in to find out on such an old truck. So I took it in, they took the truck around back to check it out and then informed me that it was not pre-​wired for the brake controller and they would have to run all the wires from scratch, about 3 hours at $ 139/​hour. That was about $ 800 — $ 900 with the parts. I politely declined and left.
Me and a co-​worker crawled around under the truck with a test light and within 10 mins. we found all of the factory pre-​wiring necessary to plug in the brake controller and rear trailer plug! I bought the brake controller and wire harnesses for approx. $ 250 and had it all plugged in and installed in less than an hour!
I’m disappointed that as professionals they could not find the pre-​wiring but two laymen could so quickly. I also found on the internet in 5 mins. that all Ford trucks of my year class came pre-​wired for brake controllers… You’d think the professionals who do this for a living would have known that or at least took the 5 mins. to look it up as I did…
It left me wondering what would have happened if I had them do the work? Would they have «discovered» the factory wires or just installed all new unnecessarily? If they discovered them, would they have used them and discounted my estimate or? I can’t say either way but I really think they should have been able to find the wires in the first place as I did!

We shopped around for a trailer and ended up swinging by Folsom Lake RV because we had seen it from the freeway. Derek took us around to look at a couple trailers with the specs we wanted. He had a very knowledgeable and low pressure approach. We got a price we wanted and then were treated as if everyone working there was there to help us. When we picked up the trailer we finished by having a picture taken of us and the trailer which went up on the wall and was even turned into a calendar sent later. The feeling is that we are important and they are there to help us with the vibe very casual and upbeat. I’m not sure they have the absolute rock bottom prices of some other dealers, but the prices are certainly in the ball park and the extra care more than makes up for it. Haven’t had service done there yet, so can’t speak to it, but we will certainly give it a try.

Every experience with the people from FLRV has been great. Truly nice people, very helpful. Our sale person was honest and provided advice/​answers without using it as an opportunity to manipulate us. Price of our travel trailer was excellent. Prep was fast and extremely helpful in getting us dialed in and ready to go. Service department on the phone when we have a problem while camping has been helpful. They really tried to help solve the problem. We have been by there on our way out on a trip twice with concerns/​questions. They sent a person out immediately to take a look and help us address the issue. Haven’t used them for a major service or repair yet, but when I do, I expect the results to be as satisfying as all our other interactions to date.

Did business there once and it was more than enough. Will never do it twice

Terrible Experience, took my trailer for an electrical problem. They ignored my suggestion that smoke was coming from the inverter area and instead said it was something else and that they weren’t their and didn’t see it. They also said it was dirty electrical that my extended coverage might not cover it. After keeping my trailer for two months and telling me the inverter was fine I finally got it back. After starting to plug things back in, the electrical shorted out. Had to take to a different repair shop. They found the inverter was bad replaced a circuit breaker and now it’s fine. Also, when I went to pick it up from (Folsom Lake) they gave me the keys and said thank you. I had to check it out by myself with no help from the staff. This is after I purchased the trailer from Folsom Lake. I will never use them again very unprofessional and unhelpful. The insurance covered everything.

We went in to look at Cougar and KZ 5^th wheels. Charlie greeted us and was very pleasant, he then passed us off to someone else, Derek. Derek has an attitude. He knows what you should buy and your opinion doesn’t matter. We asked if we could just look around as we are not ready to buy. Nope, we weren’t left alone for more than a few minutes. Derek finally got aggravated because we weren’t buying the line he was selling. He called in the next team to work on us, Brad. Brad likes to hear himself talk. I don’t. Every other brand we said we were looking at was thoroughly trashed by them. Sell me the points of your product and service. Don’t sell me by trying to convince me you’re the lessor of evils! No matter what I said they would only discuss the high end product. Finally pushing that they have another buyer anxious for the RV. Great! Sell it, we don’t want it — they just would not listen! I will travel much farther to buy when make our decision to avoid FLRV, especially after reading the service issues.

Purchasing a Travel Trailer wasn’t only the Best Thing at Folsom Lake RV! It was the professional, caring, and respectful team that went the distance to make our deal as SMOOTH AS POSSIBLE! The GM Angel and Ashley in Finance as well as Brad in Sales. The service Dept. Led by Matthew and then the PDI Guru’s Carl and Tyler S. Educated us in our new 2016 EVO Trailer. Stress free dealership well they should be commended b/​c they kept me Nick in the EVO Zone hahaha!
Finally, LAST but not The LEAST THE OWNERS who graciously and openly made sure that our new trailer would be possible! If you ever need a new RV, Trailer or even service for an existing one FLRV is your headquarters to make many memories that will last a #LIFETIME Thank you all and down the road we GO!

The salesman who worked with us while we purchased our trailer, Jack, is the best. We really enjoyed working with him.

Last weekend we found ourselves pretty much stranded in the mountains camping with our 5^th wheel because a part on the hitch assembly broke. Having bought the rig at Folsom Lake RV, I took the hitch to them looking for a solution, dreading the type of runaround usually associated with warrantee issues we’ve all faced in the past. Not so at FLRV!
I explained the problem to the service dept and within 10 minutes, the problem was assessed. A loaner assembly was installed and within 20 minutes total, paperwork was done to order replacement parts and I was on my way!
I can’t even imagine how the folks at Folsom Lake RV could have treated me any better. When I got back to the group campsite at Bear River Lake, I told everyone about my excellent experience, and now you know about it too!

My wife and I were on our first long trip with our trailer. We live in Fresno. We noticed the tail lights did not work. We bought our trailer in Fresno. I took the trailer to Folsom Lake RV. I told them we were traveling. They looked at the trailer and our tow vehicle immediately. There was a relay switch on our tow vehicle that had come loose and was causing a short, therefore no tail lights. They fixed the problem and we were on the road in less than two hours. If we are in the market for a new RV, we will make the drive to Folsom, just for the service department.

The worst customer service!!! They are very nice when you are buying new trailer, especially with a warranty, but then they just start ignoring you. Took them two months to fix a toilet tank and it’s still sitting at their place:(((they must change their service department!!!

If I could give this place negative stars I would! The worst customer service and service center I have ever dealt with in my life! I purchased a new fifth wheel from them. As I purchase a new fifth wheel every 5 – 7 years we know right away there are always things that are going to have to be brought back and fixed. We dropped off our trailer and they told us it would take 4 – 6 weeks. No problem.
7 months later and 3 trips cancelled we still never got back our trailer!!! Yes 7 MONTHS! Nothing but excuses! They even had the nerve to tell me I had to buy an accessory and they would have to charge me to repair my heater! Month 8 we finally get our trailer back and things are missing. Yes stolen missing! We made them aware right away and they said again no problem they will order what is missing and mail it to me… That was 2 months ago and I can’t even get them to return my calls! Do not do business with these people you will regret it that I can promise you! Learn from my mistake and take your well earned money elsewhere!!!

Giving these folks a «generous» two stars. Needed some warranty work done due to a manufactures recall. Got an appointment in about a two weeks, no problem as this was expected, then the delays began. Almost a month later, and they still had not gotten to my RV even after being told I was «third in line». I was told they have hired additional service technicians, but I just cannot trust what their service department is telling me. I am looking elsewhere for RV service.

I bought our trailer here 2 years ago and thought everything was handled honestly and well.
most of the negative reviews are from people with less than 5 reviews so these have to be discounted out of hand.
A few days ago on my way back home from Sonoma Coast, I realized that my door closer was about to come off. I stopped in and although they were very busy they said they could remount the closer where it would have a better grip and stay on permanently.
In 20 minutes I was back on the road and the cost of 65.00 was reasonable.
