Business Owner

Before joining Cell Phone Repair, Karlyn had a wide range of experience as a certified public accountant and management executive. She rose to audit manager (specializing in IPOs, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures) at Ernst & Young. Then, at SureWest Communications, she held several roles before becoming vice president of operations, overseeing network operations, plant operations, network engineering and customer service functions. In addition, Karlyn has been on the Sacramento Children’s Home board of directors and on the executive leadership team of the American Heart Association’s annual Heart Ball.

My wife’s I Phone 6 screen was completely shattered. I took it in on a Saturday and 30 minutes later Brandon had a new screen replaced and it looked like new. What Impressed me was he went through all the functions on the phone and was able to get a clearer sound out of the speaker too. Well worth the money and comes with a guarantee.

Worst company ever. I brought my phone into get a new screen on my iPhone 6 Plus they charge me $ 263 to replace my LCD screen when I went to pick up my phone I had a new LCD screen on it but my touch screen was not working correctly so I brought back my phone and they kept it for another four hours they told me that they replace the LCD screen again and tell me to try out my phone and the touch screen is still not working so they take back my phone for another eight hours and I come back and try out my phone my phone still is not working correctly so I leave my phone for two days and come back and they offer me a refund and tell me to take my phone to Apple to get repaired this place is a joke and is unacceptable they messed up my $ 900 phone and basically told me to get lost please not do any business with this place they are frauds and they will mess up any phone you have. I will be taking them to small claims court and to the Better Business Bureau. This company does not know what they’re doing and they need to be shut them please do not use this company.

Took my wife’s phone in and thought the place was very professional looking. The rep behind the counter stated he was new and I thought“oh boy!” I was incorrect about my assumption, they pulled through and my wife is very happy she got her baby back, thanks CPR!

Given two different amounts for a single repair. When we questioned the new but lower price, they confirmed it was accurate. So, we made the decision to move ahead with the repair due to the lower price. When we came in to pick up the repair, the price was now the higher one by $ 75. Likely it was an honest mistake (and not the bait-​and-​switch it feels like) but the customer service in followup was where they lost me. They were unwilling to provide any assistance due to their mistake. Solid repair work, however the customer service is still very much in need of serious improvement. They do good work but due to their inability to keep quotes straight and poor communication, we won’t be returning.

Finally a place that not only fixes more than one type of device, but also courteous, prompt and reasonable prices. Took my daughters laptop and IPhone in as both crashed in the same weekend and had them back in 24 hours, fixed. Would highly recommend them.

I needed the help of CPR because I slipped and fell on my butt and smooshed my iPhone 6 plus that was in my back pocket. I lost touch screen capabilities and I found out that my warranty was void. Booo!!! I looked around for someone to fix my phone and came across CPR. I reached out via email and Josh R. Was quick to respond with an initial estimate. I decided to drop off my cell phone and pick it up later in the week. When I took my phone in, Josh was very professional and friendly. He took my phone to a technician and told me it could he repaired in 20 minutes. Whoa! I was expecting to wait a few days, not 20 minutes. That was a pleasant surprise. So in about a half hour, I returned and Josh was waiting. He showed me that my phone now worked, made calls, connected to wifi and I regained all of the touch screen abilities that I had lost. I also did not loose any info on my phone! Awesome job to the technicians! I highly recommend this place if you have any issues with an iPhone!

I’m not from the area and my cell phone died so I couldn’t use my Google maps to get home so I saw this store and stopped in to get a back up battery case. They don’t sell them but Brandon happily volunteered to charge my phone and also diagnosed it to see why my battery charge wasn’t lasting long. Brandon made some little fixes as well as giving me enough charge to get me going, all as a courtesy. Even though I didn’t need to buy anything, Brandon still provided great service and cared about me as a customer. Next time I’m in the area this will be my go to place for phone supplies. I highly recommend this store for simply caring about their customers!

Wife went over to get replacement cell phone cause I wasn’t buying her another new one. The sales staff was nice enough and helped her get an iPhone 4 and hooked into Verizon. This was done late in the afternoon and by the time she realized none of her apps for work would work on the phone it was too late. Called back to try to swap out phone for at least a 4s which we found out later would work because it would upgrade to ios8. Sales rep said no we wont take it back but if you turn it in we will give you $ 50 store credit and you can wait until we have another in stock. I just Paid $ 100 for this crap less then 24hours ago. Will not go there ever again and will do my best to keep others out of there. They didn’t even know that ios8 doesn’t work on the iphone4 something would have been nice to know earlier.

Shop around. They wanted to charge me $ 25 for a Samsung S5 battery. $ 15 at another shop. Also wanted to charge about $ 75 to have the same phone serviced for water damage. I paid about $ 35 for the same service at Mobile Kangaroo on H Street near Sac State. Felt like CPR was giving a bit of a sales pitch where they were trying to impress me with everything they knew rather than what I needed to know.

Their store is nice and they seemed relatively nice but my gut feeling told me to shop around and not commit to their services. I took my same job to uBreakiFix on sunrise ave and she seemed way more transparent and provided much more information. She was confident enough in her work and provided an honest modest quote a little more than half of what these guys quoted me… She did exactly what she quoted .a job well done
The feedback I would leave this store is to lower your prices and provide unbiased honest information with your client take the time to educate them

Ok. 5 stars for the customer service. The best retail customer service I ever experienced. Very knowledgable and upfront.
3 Stars for the $ 75.00 gamble-​fee as I call it to see if maybe-​possibly they could fix a water-​damage phone.
Apparently my iPhone 5s could not be brought to back to life.

I dropped my phone and cracked the corner of my screen. Fortunately I had Square Trade and filed a claim to get my phone fixed. CPR gave me excellent service, they were prompt, helpful, and the process was easy. I did have to come back because I had a minor issue with my phone, but once again, they fixed it ASAP and were very nice and courteous.

I went into the rancho Cordova store and was greeted by Ryan. I had a hole in my note 4 phone, or so I thought. Ryan asked if he could take my screen protector off and when he did the hole wasn’t there. I really appreciate his knowledge as I had just come from t-​mobile who was going to charge me $ 175.00 to fix it. Thanks for the help Ryan.

I came in with my boss today to pick up her iPhone that had stopped working. We were serviced by a gentleman named Max. He put my boss at ease showing her that her phone had been miraculously repaired! He presented us with great customer service and even threw in a few jokes for free.
