I came here to try it out after I saw so many reviews on Unilocal. They accept walk-ins, which is great. I know of some places that don’t accept walk-ins, so when I find ones that do– I make a note of it. The employees and staff is very friendly and attentive. They like to engage with the customers and like to ask questions about you, which shows that they are interested in their customers. I got a $ 25 pedicure, which included a mini foot rub and a hot coal rub. Not bad if you ask me for the price. They also have a good selection of colors to choose from, mostly OPI polishes. I liked everything, but one minor problem I came across after I left the nail salon. I realized that my toenails were filed in a slanted direction. You can really notice it on my big toe nails. I’m guess it’s because of the angle she might have been sitting when filing my toenails? Not sure why… I wish I’d seen it while I was at the nail salon. Just make sure to check your toenails before they paint them! Overall, great experience!

I like a nail salon where they carry a conversation with you. This is not it. Also the last few appts, have really hurt. I think her mind is elsewhere and she doesn’t realize she is filing my actual nail. I don’t enjoy this anymore.

Lux Nails is tucked deep in the back of the shopping center it is in, and the shopping center right across the street actually has a place called the Luxe Salon, so initially this place was kind of hard to find. However, they were one of the very, very few places my friend and I found open on a Sunday, and until 6 on a Sunday which was really great. We were greeted just outside the door by a nice man and welcomed in. My friend and I both wanted shellac mani’s and the nice ladies started on us immediately. It was a really great, quick experience. The nail salon itself was really nicely done, it felt moderately classy and they had *a lot* of great shades of shellac and regular polish which is a sign of a good nail spa. The pricing was pretty standard compared to everywhere else I’ve been. Four stars — this is a great place!

I have been here 3 times now for pedicures. Always friendly and accommodating– it can be hard to find a place in raleigh that can take walk-ins within 10 minutes. Great chairs– like the massage options. Good prices.

This place is a phenomenal place to go for relaxation. I needed a day like this and had a friend in from out of town. I had a full set and pedicure. I was satisfied overall with the finished product. There was little to no wait time, the staff was friendly, and the prices were reasonable! I will definitely be coming back for a fill in! :)

I received a gift certificate for a mani and pedi for my birthday for Lux Nails. Overall, it was decent. I called ahead to see if i needed an appointment and was told they were free right then so if i could come then there was no wait. I got there in 15 minutes, and just like they said no wait, which was surprising because there were about 5 other guests in there. The pedicure was pretty basic, which was fine. They charge an extra $ 5 if you want they to use a salt scrub, okay. It was a nice extra. The girl finished in about 30 mins, then switch to the manicure. The woman was polite, but seemed a little distracted, or just not on her game. She almost forgot to do the cuticles on one of my hands. The paint job was decent, but i left realizing that i needed to clean up around my nails as there was polish all over the place. Overall, they seemed to be rushing everyone through, a lady next to me was having her mani and pedi dont at the same time. Not due to a shortage of space or people, just to rush people in my opinion. I think more time couldve been taken to make sure was a high quality job. It was free for me, aside from tip. But i dont think that i would go back.

I have been going there since the day new owner took over — I am guessing about 4−5years now. I love their service, atmosphere, and most importantly quality work. I am their frequent visitor, once twice a month and never been dissapointed.

This is my favorite place in Raleigh for a pedicure. I have always had good service and I love their hot stone massages. The salon is clean and they autoclave their instruments. Fantastic place!

After running errands all day, I was in need of a little pampering. I noticed Lux Nails during a stop next door at Tuesday Morning, and made a mental note to stop by later before heading home. I was their last patron of the day, but they didn’t seem to mind… they fixed up a chair for me while I picked out a sparkly red for my piggies. She did this cool massage technique on my legs and feet with hot stones and lotion. That was different — I liked it. Walk-ins are accepted and the pricing is reasonable. The place seems very clean, and it’s bright and airy. I’ll be back here.
