Eaten at too many five guys around the country, each one delicious. This one is too, if you can wait for the sloooooooow kitchen and service. Really these folks look as they they are in slow motion, ignoring the long queue that always seems present. Ironic because people are here with a little time to catch a flight! If they could speed up and work as a team as other locations seem to do, this would rate higher. Have a while to get your food

After hearing so much about Five Guys, I was happy to see this place in the RDU airport. The line to order moved very slowly. The workers, with the exception of the griddle guy, seemed half asleep. The griddle guy had more energy than the entire staff combined.(I’ll have what he’s having?) The fries were mysteriously both overcooked AND floppy. So gross. The burger was mediocre. Not quite as good as a Wendy’s burger. Similar to a Cookout burger. I had the small burger, which was an appropriate size for me. Too bad it was boring. Two out of three soda machines were out of order. I’ll never go back to a Five Guys.

If you stop by when it’s busy, the food is pretty good. If it’s a slow period, the food is terrible. Since this is one of the«better» options in RDU, it generally stays busy. Really wish RDU would get some good food in Terminal C!

There aren’t very many food options for toddlers at RDU, so we grabbed a burger and fries from Five Guys. The wait for our food was 20 minutes. I suggest not coming here in a rush. Luckily we had a few minutes to spare. The Burger was okay. It was overcooked and drenched in mayo. The fries were tasty! They saved the day for my little one.

I was so happy to see a Five Guys near our Gate on an early flight out of RDU one Friday. 5 Guys for Breakfast? Sure! I love their burgers and the Airport location did not disappoint.

I love 5 guys! This airport terminal location doesn’t disappoint. Same quality burgers and fries you get at any 5 guys. Service was speedy too!

8:30 Sunday morning March 8, 2015 this place should be renamed Five Zombies’ Burgers. I understand this isn’t a dream job but I’ve rarely seen such slow and disinterested employees. Could this be a secret training facility for the DMV? Next time I’ll order a snack box on the airplane.

Always one of the best burgers around, but a lot of the other fast food places to shame.

I see that a lot of people have compared this place to in n out, so I guess I’ll do the same. The quality if beef at five guys is pretty good, quite beefy and a bit less salty than in n out. The cool thing about five guys is that they have plenty of toppings you can add on including bacon, which I definitely had to get, and boy was I glad. The bacon was as crispy as a potato chip and was absolutely stunning in the burger.

This Five Guys gets 4 stars for its excellent service and friendly staff, not to mention the always great burgers and one unique option not normally found at a Five Guys. Five Guys burgers never disappoints and don’t be to shy to get the full size burger. The amount of french fries is always obscene but welcomed and what’s better than served with a smile. Also, this Five Guys opens early so if you get there before 10AM they have a full breakfast menu.

Clean and nicely run. Personable staff. I just wish they had better cheese options. With such high quality burgers, crappy American imitation cheese is a big let down. Would love some cheddar or provolone.

Unfortunately, I think In-n-Out still rocks Five Guys. I tried Five Guys for the first time for breakfast(got a cheeseburger). I wasn’t able to finish the whole thing as it was SUPER thick. Boy are their patties huge! I also got the fries. Their fries aren’t bad, but nothing outstanding.

Five guys is one of the few fast food chains that I actually like. They use fresh uncooked burger patties. Fresh toppings. Huge orders of fresh fries. This one is no exception. And for an airport their prices are not as marked up as many fast food places. Friendly staff. Quick service. delicious. Also serving breakfast!

They hadn’t lowered the gate they were taking an order when I walked in at 8:02 and they let me stand there before telling me and my 8 year old they couldn’t serve us. We had just been to KFC and they closed on us and at least were lowering the gate when we got there. The friers were on full blast when they kicked us out of 5 guys. Seems pretty unreasonable and messed up. We just wanted a couple simple Hot dogs. Also posting hours on directory could save us passengers the hassle.

So happy to see Five Guys at the airport — solid Five Guys — a little bit more expensive than regular but worth it. The fries are really good, I love their fries. The burger is hefty and great toppings. The meat could have been a little juicier but overall good option at the airport– I could also get it and bring it on the plane and kept pretty warm.

It’s Five Guys food. Not too bad for a burger but what makes this location great is the employees. They are extremely nice and accommodating! Someone accidentally must have taken our order or they forgot to make it(can’t place blame when you don’t know for sure) but they remade our order quickly and with a very friendly attitude about it. Way to go employees at the RDU Five Guys!

Ratings: YACKY — not for me, YAMMY — good, YAMMYYAMMY — delicious! Hamburger — YAMMY. Hamburger comes with two patties and any toppings. If you choose grilled onions the bun will be soggy. Fries — I got the five guys style fries. It was very YACKY! They put too much salt. If you get fries make sure to tell them easy on salt!!! It does come with alot for small fries but too salty to eat.

In the food desert that is RDU airport comes Five Guys; a welcome respite from the usual. My only real criticism here is the price, but that’s largely because airports charge astronomical rent rates to these restaurants and they have to price their food accordingly. Five Guys is kind of a known commodity; if you’re any sort of burger connoisseur, you’ve already got an opinion of Five Guys and your dining experience here isn’t likely to change that. I happen to like their burgers, and I’ll certainly take it over the usual stale sandwiches that one finds at airports.

«Good burgers in Terminal D» I’d never tried Five Guys before and was eager to try it here in RDU(seemingly my second home sometimes) when it opened. I got a hamburger and fries with Cajun seasoning. The burger turned out to actually be a double burger(not obvious from the menu, but a welcome surprise), and I was impressed at the breadth of toppings one could have, including standards, but also grilled mushrooms/onions, etc. The regular fries was ENORMOUS– they filled the standard fry cup, but then poured about that many more fries into the bag loose. They also had vinegar available for the fries. Mild negatives– food was a tad more expensive than I would have guessed it would be, and it took a good ~10 minutes to get the food(which seemed unusually long for fast food at 4:30pm). Quality was good– burger bun was a little mushy when I opened the foil, but not too bad. The burger itself was good– above average for fast food, and decent overall. Fries were very tasty, but perhaps a little too greasy & overly seasoned. Overall, this was a good experience, but if typical for the chain, then I think the hype may be a little over-the-top: it’s certainly not nearly as good as Red Robin, for example.
