Made my first trip to a Five Below on a Saturday afternoon. First thing I could not find was any kind of shopping cart or basket. Even walked back outside to see if I had missed where they were stored. I finally found some baskets at the back of the store — and it was not marked. The name of the store is its pricing policy — everything is $ 5 or below. The graphics, music, and merchandise are geared towards the under 18 crowd. It reminded me more of one of those t shirt«tourist trap» stores you find at the beach. The merchandise mix includes dvds, cheap electronic trinkets, lots of colorful cheap jewelry geared towards young girls, tee shirts, toys and tons of snacks. I do not think it is designed to be a store for the everyday shopper looking to save money on regular purchases like you would find at a dollar store or stores like Big Lots and Ollies. The store was surprisingly sloppy. Now that might be attributed to the time of day, but there was many sections where merchandise was on the floor instead of on shelves and displays. The tee shirt section was particularly messy. I wasn’t impressed with this chain.

This was my first time in this store and never even heard of it before. It reminds me of a upper scale 99cents store, They really had some cool deals and steals for $ 5 and under. The place was packed with younger children racking up on little toys and other junk. Great deals on candy.

Took the godkids(ages 4 and 7) to Five Below at Poyner Place for fun, agreeing to get each of them three things to take back home. I guess I’m kind of a cheap godmother, but they got some really cool stuff and my bill was less than $ 24. Yeah! The little guy scored a Nintendo DS game, a mini gumball machine, and a Green Hornet doll –er, action figure. The little girl came out with the gumballs as well, plus a pair of wearable pink fairy wings and an arts-and-crafts kit. Obviously, at these prices these things won’t last forever. The fairy wings were snagged within the first hour, but it didn’t stop her from flying. The DS game was a shocker for me. He loved it and played it for hours. I guess I didn’t know the DS games were that inexpensive? Carts are available. Customer service is average. The store was well-organized. Selection is quite vast. This is a great place to find some trinkets and toys, t-shirts, a pretty solid selection of candy, etc. — appropriate for gag gifts, stuff for groups of kids, games and so forth.

Ok. I will start by saying this is hands down the best Five Below I have ever been too. They had loads of stuff that you would not expect to see and the store is very well organized. You can easily walk out of the store spending less and walking out with more. Definitely a store you should visit!!!

Really like this place a lot. I got an over night bag that’s adorable and I pack it to the brim and seems stable so far. I’ve gotten a little clutch that is nice as well. Their make up is pretty good the eye shadow is really pigmented and they have some nice make up brushes that work pretty well. I got in with 30 dollars and come out with loads of stuff so its super gratifying for cheap. Their school supplies work well and I’ve had no problems with pens or any of the stuff I’ve gotten there. Its clean in there as well I would have given a 4 but when I go the staff is kind of eh but not rude just eh. I go almost every pay check.

I a firm believer in «You get what you pay for» when it comes to nearly everything. Five Below is no frills. I went looking for some small dumbell type weights to help rehab my arm and my hand. The weights were cheap, the weights were weighty and getting in and out of the place wasn’t particulary challenging. The only challenge here was keeping my little girl from asking me to buy all the candy and gum that’s strategically placed in the«wait to check out» line.
