Slow service. has nothing to do with the great staff. just not enough of them. Over priced, I get it it’s an airport and you charge what you fell like charging, but $ 6 for fries???

This is probably your best choice of LaGuardia taverns/restaurants in the Delta Terminal… meaning it isn’t as overpriced and crowded as other places… but it is still overpriced and crowded. I do however always appreciate Irish staff in Irish pubs.

Good breakfast served here. Recommend it if you are at T4 for a morning flight. Bit expensive but relaxed and not crowded.

The odoriferous smell of a dirty dishrag wasn’t enough to sway me from Tigin Irish Pub, and it was really wreaking at 730am. After all, over several years, I’ve tried almost all the choices in terminal 4 of JFK, and my experience has been short, to say the least. The Irish bar was inspired in design, but the Americana influence is highly resident especially in the morning hours. The have a limited 3 item menu at breakfast: an all Irish Breakfast(served all day), an American Breakfast, and a Breakfast Sandwich. Let me tell you peeps, the Breakfast Sandwich may be the best I’ve ever had. Eggs, Bacon, and Cheese, yeah yeah… but it’s the bread that’s AMAZING. Soft yet toasty and grilled, I wanted to eat it fast but at the same time, eat it slow to make it last. Served with a side of crispy homemade hash browns, this kicks my Irish-loving arse(5.0 stars, $ 12.95). The service was shared amongst many tables, but the primary(Karen) was super responsive and on-top of things. I can’t speak for the rest of the lunch and dinner menu, or if the smell subsides as the day goes on, but for breakfast, the Breakfast Sandwich is IT!

Decent food/drink when you’re stuck in this part of JFK. There’s plenty of bar/table seating, and the service is efficient and pretty friendly. Our waitress was attentive and got our orders correct, and offered drink refills when needed, so we definitely didn’t have to worry about being forgotten had our flight been on time(it wasn’t, so we were whiling away the delay over Guinness and wifi at one of their tables). Food is A-OK and won’t give you anything to write home about, but it ain’t awful, either. The burgers were just fine, as were the salads. I’m not really sure how much clout one can give to airport food establishment reviews, since normally one only stops for airport food only if they’re delayed(so they’re pissed off) or they don’t remember their food stop because they were whittling away a delay over alcohol(so who cares about the food). But — if you do care — Tigin is «just fine» and a safe enough place to stop for some food and drink and conversation while in Terminal 4 at JFK. Prices are no worse than a standard airport pub/bar, so your wallet won’t cry out in too much agony, and the Guinness isn’t the worst I’ve ever tasted.

By far one of the worst place I ate, I even felt sick for three days. The couple before me sent back their overcooked burger. I ordered the same one and I believe they just brought me the same, since it was cold. Since i was in a rush to catch a plane, i just ate half of that, terrible, dry, lousy bread quality and bad meat.

The beer we ordered is the most expensive in NYC. 30 Dollars for two draft beer at an ordinary place — thats theft. No prices listed on the menu. Thats why there are hardly no guests and no atmosphere. 1 Star for the worst pub in the universe! Stay away!

Located near the A4 gate and is a long walk from the B gates. They have a nice big bar area with lots of taps and plenty of seating. I ordered the Fish n Chips which were awesome. The one bad thing I noticed was that the host/server(MD) could have used some help and that they were understaffed. He was a great server and the food was awesome, I’ll be back!

For some reason there was little to no people at the airport made it through security and had over 2 hours to kill. Found Tigin’s so figured Id give it a try. Sat at the bar thinking would get better service if I was sitting in front of the bar tender. Didn’t work. Had the Shepherds Pie. Portion was small for price. The colcannon top was not browned and was made from instant potatoes. Flavor of food was really good.

Food was fine but drink prices were outrageous. We ordered an Irish breakfast and were excited to have bloody Mary’s before our flight. In our determination to have a Bloody Mary that morning we failed to interrogate our waitress about the prices. The drink menu is full of options but doesn’t mention prices, which feels sneaky. The drinks ended up being $ 18 each! We got slammed with a bill for over $ 80 for brunch for 2(not including the tip) and had to pay in cash. The bloody Mary’s weren’t even good– we bought 2 and maybe drank ½ of 1 in total. It was from a standard mix and extremely salty. The food was fine– nothing to write home about but it did the job for 2 hungry people. Another small grievance with this place is the service. We told the waitress I was a vegetarian and asked if there were any vegetarian friendly breakfast options. She offered to modify the egg dishes but on the way out we heard someone ask the same question and the manager said there was also a French toast available. I should have heard about that option as well. P. s. The 2 stars is generous– I just remembered that my potato hash had a hair baked into it.

Pretty good Irish fare, but slow service. I admit the place was packed and clearly understaffed, but it was good I had time to kill. I got the fish and chips and it was really good. The fish was lightly fried and delicious! The fries were ok, but the coleslaw was out of this world! If you’ve got time give this place a go… If you like Irish pub food.

Decent bar food for the JFK Airport. Service was so friendly!!! The waitress even winked and said she asked the bartender to put in extra alcohol. Get the mai tai– yummy! Wings are decent– nothing special– average bar food but for the airport it is not bad. It is located by the virgin america terminals. Not too packed and plenty of seats!

My husband and I loved this place! It was definitely a pleasant surprise to have such good food at an airport. The service was very nice and fast, which was great since we didn’t want to get late to our gate. The food tasted awesome, I would say the food was just as good as any normal non-airport restaurant. And it gets better: price is quite fair! I seriously recommend the chicken tender appetizer(very yummy seasoning), the pear salad, the bread pudding, and their iced tea. It was one of the fanciest iced teas ever! It comes with 2 cherries inside of the glass, 1 slice of lime and 1 slice of lemon for presentation. I definitely recommend this restaurant and I hope they open a franchise in lots of other airports to save me from awful airport food.

Food wise, this place was okay — service was the real killer. We had a very long layover(and had been stuck sitting on the floor OUTSIDE security for an hour and a half because our cruise shuttle dropped us off more than 6 hours before our flight), our waitress never asked us if we had a tight flight or not, which most airport sit down restaurants do. Well, she barely asked us anything — we got a «Hello» and were then stared at when we asked for the sandwich board special from just near where we were sitting, $ 20 for a Guinness lager and a bacon cheese burger with fries. Eventually she figured it out and placed the order(I guess no one filled her in on re special?). It took FOREVER to get the food even though we were one of the only few people there. The table was sticky, we saw several men who appeared to be managers hanging around and fussing with lights or on their phones(which was actually a bit irritating when they just hovered near us fussing with the lights and complaining about ordering things), even though it stated to get busy and the one waitress was by herself(although she had NO hustle or customer service skills beyond being a person filling a space that I ever saw). Also, quite a few flies hovering about — so none of that helped — thankfully, the Guinness Lagers made it out fast, which eased the waiting a bit. Once the food arrived it was tasty(burgers were overdone, but still a juicy well done and not dry), but then we SAT for over a half over once we finished with no sign of anyone to flag for a check. Once we did get a hold of our waitress, it took another 20 minutes easy for the check to arrive. I really wanted to review this place better, but in an airport speed and service are needed more so than usual and Tigin just didn’t deliver that(even if the food did help offset the nastiness that is JFK on principle of easing a hungry, travel tired belly).

Service was very bad. We were ignored for 10 minutes when we first came and didn’t know where to sit. It wasn’t crowded so not sure why. We ordered a burger and 2 beers. The burger was very good. The beers were a bit pricy but expected for airport restaurant.

Unfortunately I fly through JFK just rarely enough to forget how terrible the food is here before my next visit. Seriously, the only reason this place exists is people who are in a rush to get anything to eat before boarding. So if you’re reading this review, do yourself a favor and avoid eating here. Specifics: I ordered«chicken and shrimp boxty, comes with a serving of vegetables» and it was bunch of smelly chicken joints, with no shrimp and a few celery sticks as «vegetables». My friend ordered shepherd’s pie and it was just as terrible.

It surprises me to see how many bad reviews there are. My mother and I stopped here right before our boarding time. The staff were quiet but friendly and brought us our drinks and food quickly. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger. The meat is more Irish-style and therefore more lean and more dense. The best part, however, were the pub chips. They were perfectly spiced and for once the ketchup complimented the flavor instead of masked it. My mother ordered the Irish breakfast, which she had claimed she hadn’t had since she went to Ireland 20+ years ago. Overall, we were very satisfied with the experience.

Pretty terrible service, menu and drinks prices. I literally can never find anything I want to eat on the menu which never happens. It doesn’t help that I’m usually flying to England and the menu is mostly British; so if I wait 12 hrs I can get good British food in London versus this bad imitation. However, my objective is always to get drunk on wine, take sleeping tablets and then pass out on my flight and they always help me succeed with that so I’ll give them an extra star!

WORST place ever. Read this review if you don’t want to get massively screwed and shocked when the bill comes. So the food is pretty cheap for a JFK restaurant. And it looks decent. But it’s a service abomination, for starters. Understaffed and unapologetic. You have to beg and plead and chase people down. I meant to Unilocal 3 weeks in NYC when home and did not want this to be my 500th Unilocal review. But life isn’t all puppies and rainbows and this place should be reported to the Better Business Bureau or whatever they have in New York. And I am vaping in the potty pre-boarding to LAX and typing this on my iPhone with one thumb because I am outraged by the dishonesty of Tigin. I asked how much more a Ketel Bloody was. They said 7. So fine. I get the house. It’s 16! So basically the Ketel is St Regis pricing. I know airports are expensive. And JFK is pricier than most. But if you’re giving me a house Bloody which is no more than adequate, you better tell me how much it’s going to be. Grrrrrr. The cocktails/wine menu(those things that stick up in plastic) has NO prices. So basically the decent and affordable food has prices on the menu. But the outrageously high booze menu doesn’t. So uncool. WAIT until you board your plane to drink. Virgin is good for wine and booze. I wish cottage ceilings and shag carpet on the owners of this establishment. That’s my standard curse. Along with STDs. There is one and only one thing to be said for this place: plugs under the bar. So what. It’s JFK and lots of places including that amazing sushi do that. I would have waited till in flight to drink. I am livid.

While quite hungry at the JFK airport, we stumbled upon this place and decided to eat a light lunch here. The food is over priced for the quality you get – the menu describes something different than what you actually receive. I ordered a mozzarella and tomato sandwich with a salad and it didn’t contain everything the menu described. My boyfriend got a sandwich as well and wasn’t satisfied either. One bad thing was that we were sitting under a vent and felt super cold as a result of the draft. Worst part was, we went into another terminal area and there were tons of other options to choose from that were much better looking in quality and price – don’t waste your time here!
