Five mintues on hold just to find out how much a diagnostic/​service evaluation visit costs??? Sorry, I like to support local/​close to home but this time I have to go with the company that answers calls.

I wouldn’t if I were you.
There are a lot of great heating specialists out there but there seems to be many many more bad ones. looking at the work that has been done to both the boiler and the AC here at our building its hard to tell if the mistakes made were deliberate or just bad. Really, really bad. We have never been able to have them come fix something that didn’t eventually need to be fixed again, or ended up breaking something else, other contractors seem to be baffled and disgusted with their work.
Conculsion: Yes they will fix your problem. And then they will fix it again. And again. And again. And again. Our facility will no longer be looking to Sound heating for our heating and cooling needs.

Our house is pretty much unbearable when it gets above 85 degrees outside, but we never thought we could afford a high quality AC system to cool the entire house. When it started to get really hot a few weeks ago we decided to look into AC. I knew they had to be extremely busy but Tammy came out the next day to give us a quote. She was extremely knowledgable and helpful! We ended up going with a new furnace, York Air Conditioner and thermostat. And it was a great price! The staff was prompt, professional, and courteous when installing our system. Tammy even came by to check in when it was being installed.
I now come home to a comfortable home and truly feel it was a great investment and that we did business with a wonderful, family owned company!

We purchased a high efficiency York Furnace (95% efficient, 60,000 BTU, fully modulating) from Sound Heating 3 years ago. Since the purchase, we have lost heat on 4 different occasions, requiring repairs each time, and have also had 3 – 4 visits for diagnostics and evaluations and changes to how it was installed. So, we have been without heat for several days, had to miss work to be at home for repairs several times and have spent ~ $ 500, despite having a 10 year parts and labor warranty. The people who have come out to work on the furnace and evaluate it have all been nice folks who managed to get the furnace up and running again, at least for some period. It is hard to tell how much of the issue is the furnace or how it was installed or both. But at the end of the day, we bought a new furnace expecting it to perform well and it has not. The bottom line here is probably obvious– we would not make this choice again.

Very prompt and courteous service. Mitch came out to fix our AC that had been installed less than a year ago. He also fixed a few small items free of charge that he felt should have been done differently on the original install. He was great, very helpful and knowledgeable. I’d recommend them to anyone.

If I could have given these guys a 2.5, that’s they would have gotten.
Moved into our home last year and had one of our heating zones go out in the middle of January which made for a very chilly bedroom. I looked at who installed our heaters and it was Sound Heating and AC so I called them right away. They came out and I can say they fixed the problem — I got a warm bedroom again and a bill for more than $ 550. Okay, I tell myself that was worth it.
This year, I crank up the heater again a couple months ago and of course the zone in my bedroom decides to not keep to the temp on the thermostat. Although not as chilly as last year, it was cold again. I call them and they send a guy out the next day. It took him an hour to find the dang attic where the furnace was for that zone. I finally call the guys at Sound and as them to PLEASE give him an exact location for him to find it – they installed the darn thing for Pete’s sake. After finally finding it, he said it was a controller, he had the part and replaced it. The bill was a little over $ 200 for this trip.
I get home and although it feels slightly warmer, i notice the temp isn’t where it should be. Maybe it needs to just catch up I thought. We had a couple warmer days but on day 4, it was cold again and my room — again — wasn’t keeping temp. Called Sound and they sent someone out the next day. I told them that I was not going to pay for the service call fee again — which is $ 100 just to go to your house. If they find nothing, you still pay $ 100 so this is the minimum bill you’ll have and it just goes up from there. They said that I would not since this I had their last guy out just 5 days before. The new guy comes out and once he finds everything, he calls me to tell me that something else needed to be replaced. I told him I had to have this fixed but now I’m in for what is another $ 550 bill — on top of the $ 200 bill I paid the week before.
Of course I was hopping mad because I now knew I unnecessarily paid for no repairs at all with the first technician. Nothing got fixed until the 2^nd technician came out.
And in case you’re wondering, they installed the furnaces in late 2008 so this entire York system (which is pretty heavy duty) is only 4 years old!
I doubt seriously I’ll use these guys again because I feel they took an extra $ 200 of my money. Do your homework on these guys…

Honest and excellent service
David has worked on our furnace and air conditioning probably five or more of the 12 times that we have had Sound Heating and A/​C out to clean and get ready for the winter. He is friendly, positive and does a great job. This time we were having a leak problem with the air conditioning and he found the trouble quickly and repaired it. He could have stuck us for a large bill, but his honesty is super.
We will continue to use Sound Heating and A/​C with this type of service.

We just used Sound Heating and Air to service our furnace and heat pump by recommendation of a friend. Our friend said they were friendly, knowledgable and reasonably priced. We found all those to be true. Jeremy came to our home and was super nice, answered questions and got the job done. We will definitely be using them for our servicing. I recommend them to anyone that wants a family owned, service oriented heating and air contractor. I will be recommending them to all my cients as well. Nice job!
