History

Established in 2012.

While sitting in her backyard with her hens, Christine (Christie) Ontko wished to have a space where people could heal, relax, and feel better. Freshwater Retreat, Freshwater Sensations LLC is this place. Situated in a historic island home on Put-​in-​Bay, the house is great for couples, small groups and even a «women only» space for solo retreats. There is also a private apartment that sleeps 6 on the property now, too. It has been completely renovated for the 2015 season.

Our store was opened this past July 2014! Freshwater Remedies is filled with items that help in healing as well as stretch the mind with unique items. We have hired a massage therapist for appointments as well as scheduled healing massages for our retreat guests. Our goal is to help people FEEL BETTER.

Business Owner

First and foremost, I am a teacher. Teaching can come in many packages. I’ve been in a public school classroom for 18 years and during that time, I’ve learned many things from my students. Children are so connected… My goal is to teach people how to heal from within. For over ten years, I have been working on my abilities as an Angel Intuitive and now can say with confidence that I’m able to «tap in» to Source Energy with ease. I can help figure out each person needs while at the Retreat. Along with using Reiki and getting guidance from The Universal Energy, I teach how to use the Law of Attraction and give specific steps to create a better life. My clients leave the retreat feeling better than when they arrived! GUARANTEED!
