Great Sports Bar. Cold draft beer and nachos. Just what we wanted. Friendly relaxing time. Affordable.

2 girls walk into a local sports bar to watch and support Florida nfl football. Only problem is that can’t get a Florida team on one of the big screen TV. 3 large TVs showing the Redskins NY Giants game: 2 directly in front. It would have been appropriate to change one to a Bucs game. Can’t believe a local bar that needed business would actually let 2 women walk out rather than put the Bucs game on a TV so they could actually see it. Probably won’t be going back the rest of the season.

Poor management poor service and food is nothig to brag about. There always out of draft beer and cant order enough wings on wing night to support the customers. Why have a wing night if you cant keep enough stock. Piss poor bar and grill. Wont be back. Sad establishment. Bad management skills on josh Emils part. This could be a great place but good management skills are missing.

Draft beer was warm, bottled beer was cold. Tables were dirty, the place is EXTREMELY dark inside. Food? Meh. Potato skins were ok, but nothing special. Certainly no better than anything you can buy at the supermarket and cook in your own oven. Philly steak was NOT a Philly steak. I am from Philly, I know Philly steaks, and this was NO philly steak. Meatball Grinder was disappointing, had three little balls in it, sauce was straight from a can. Cole slaw was off the shelf and ok, but sure didn’t seem homemade. Server was polite. But for $ 40 with a tip you can do a lot better for two folks for dinner around here. We will not be back.

I always make it to Emil’s every time I’m in Port Charlotte !!! Stopped today with friends… the food was excellent as usual… but the service, let’s say, the owner wasn’t there. Very disappointing… we asked for Silverware and he told us he could only find one place setting for 3 people… I was in the Business for years… I think it’s time for a little training!!! I would have given it a five star rating if it wasn’t for him!!!

After an hour and a half, everyone around us was served, and we still did not get our food order. The food is great, but the service is terrible. Our waitress explained that the food orders do not go to the cook«in order». What the F? In what universe does that make sense? We got drink orders timely, but if ya need a refill… you might wait 20 mins. 90 mins, after sitting down we get our food, 1⁄3 of the order is wrong. When asked why… they blamed the cooks. Extremely POORSERVICE. In the end… we were given a 10% discount… that was supposed to make up for all our discomfort. Even though the food is superb. The food is so awesome here, that even though our experience was atrocious, we continue to return. The fried chicken wings at this place… are WORLDCLASS!!! Award this place a medal for consistency of taste. The pizza is really good. Beer prices are awesome, especially the buy one get one deal. I have upped my rating because service will change, but the food remains.

We were visiting friends in Port Charlotte. We went to Emil’s for«wings» Monday. We arrived around 1130 and the place was nearly empty. There is a good size bar, wood tables, and booths. It is very casual. Within the next 30 minutes, the tables and bar area filled up with golfing buddies, families, and seniors. The wait staff knew over half of the customers and called them by name. The drinks are buy one get one! My husband and I ordered a beer each and four beers magically appeared. There are wing specials with various sauces ranging from mild/sweet to ouch! I had 6 teriyaki and my husband had 6 of two other kinds. I also split an order of onion rings with my friend. Everything was good and reasonably priced. We saw the hamburgers and they were huge. They also have specials on other days. I think Wednesday is pizza special day. One can order a 16 inch two topping pizza and get a 12 inch free. We tried that special too as a carry-out. We were really surprised by that offer. My hubbie and friends preferred the thin crust, I preferred the hand tossed. Both were good. If you are in the area this would be a great place to drop in. It would not matter what you are wearing or if you are alone or with a crowd. These people will welcome you!

Service is inconsistent as is the kitchen. Food has never disappointed. Recent visit the kitchen must have been having a problem getting food out. We left after waiting over 40 minutes. Great sandwiches and wings. Definitely needs some stronger oversight on operations.

Go for Drinks, not the food. I’ve definitely had good experiences here but it’s not consistent. Mostly pub food, mostly fried. The friolater oil needs to be changed more often. I got onion rings not golden, but dark brown. I also got chili and was asked if I wanted it topped with cheese, onions, and jalapeños I was upcharged for each $ 0.50 I’m not a fan of being nickled and dimed for items which should be included, at least notify me. It’s like ordering a salad, but being charged for the dressing. Its a decent towny bar, but don’t go with high expectations, I would still go here before a chain because it’s a small business.

Best wings around. Get the«chicken fried» and you won’t be disappointed. The beer is cold and service is usually good.

5÷5÷14 update — Great food, drinks and atmosphere. Usually lots of wait staff although some seem to be more interested in their acquaintances than doing their job. Assume management weeds them out over time. Continues to be one of main go to spots when in town.

New to the area. Good atmosphere, good service. Three of our group had burgers. Everyone was very happy. Excellent was used several times. I thought I am in the south I’ll try the. Fried chicken sandwich. I found it to be dry and tasteless. Oh well.

OK… so I am from the Philadelphia area, South Jersey actually and when you try and sell me a Philly Cheese Steak… it better be good!!! Emil’s wasn’t good, it was GREAT!!! If the rest of the menu pans out as well as the cheese steak… and I will find out… then this place hidden away on Sandhill Blvd is a Diamond in the rough!!! oops… and the staff is very friendly and nice!
