The only place in Provo where you can buy legit donuts! Nice friendly service. Great selection. (I only come here for donuts)

I’ve been back several times, and most of the time I continue to be the guy who makes a cookie run. When you have friends that are addicted to their sugar cookies, you can slowly fatten them back up by making regular trips to pick up a dozen and drop them on their doorstep.
Of course, I do feel obliged to get a few things for myself. I’ve been trying to branch out and try a few different things each time, and I can safely say that it’s all been quite good and you can’t go wrong when that much sugar, butter and flour get married.
The sticky bran muffin is phenomenal. And there’s this raspberry cream cheese thing (I’m very certain that’s not its real name) that I only had once at the recommendation of the nice young girl who was running the front counter, and I need to go back and see if I can get a bathtub’s worth so I can fill it up and eat my way out.
Oddly, I’m not a devotee of the donuts. I’m 50% certain I’ve tried at least one over my many stops here, but they’re not the big attraction that keep me coming back.

We decided to walk to the bakery. It started raining half way there, and with 7 kids we were a not as fast as usual. I arrived with 7 soaking wet children under the age of eight at 4:01pm. They would not let us in. Needless to say I am not impressed.

Provo Bakery is magically fantastic. I’ve never had anything there that doesn’t make me wish I had bought more. ;-). Their fritters, donuts, cinnamon rolls, etc. are absolutely wonderful. Their oatmeal raisin cookies are a perfect mixture of taste, texture, & heft. It’s as if they were crafted by the love-​child of Michelangelo & Julia Childs… it’s all I can do to limit myself to a handful at a time.
But as great as their food is, the real joy is meeting the people that work there. Either on the phone or in person, they are some of the nicest, happiest, eager to serve people you will ever meet.
When we ever want to brighten someone’s day, fewer things are better than Provo Bakery.

This review for the cherry turnover. And the honey bran muffin. Both are super delicious! Super fresh.

Buttercream maple bars? Oh yeah.

Donuts and honey bran muffins are my favorite. Stepping into their shop and inhaling the sweet smell of baked goods is like experiencing a bit of heaven.

I am pretty bummed out that they don’t offer coffee, but the girl that helped us was super sweet. The treats look so delicious that I bought more than I intended to.

This used to be my very most favorite bakery in town… there still are not really any other local doughnut shops, but the doughnuts have gone a little downhill — I think it has changed owners a few times over the last couple of years or manure head bakers or something but it’s just not quite what it used to be. The service is always great though!

Go here if you’re lookin’ to send your blood sugar on a good olé’ fashion roller coaster ride. Everything is extremely sweet; which is awesome if that’s what you’re looking for. I don’t really have much of a sweet tooth (except for a deep love of ice cream) and as a result I was almost option-​less. The only thing that appealed to me was the bran muffin, but it eats more like a bran cupcake. It’s like a caramelized ball of bran– lots of sugar. Anyway, not really my cup of tea, but if you love sweets this place is probably gonna be your sugar-​coma-​inducing jam.

I won’t deny that the baked goods here are very good but I’m still NEVER buying here again. If you’re just stopping in for a cookie they’re fine but don’t trust them with important orders!
Story time: I was the maid of honor/​defacto wedding planner for a friends wedding, I placed an order for a 3 tier cake and was quoted a reasonable (but definitely not cheap) price in writing and paid in advance. On the day if the wedding the mother of the bride was supposed to pick up the cake and bring it to the venue in American Fork. 2 hours before the ceremony she called in tears because they wouldn’t give her the cake! They said that if they had known ot was for a wedding they would never have quoted me such a low price and that we would need to pay almost triple the original quote. I ended up having to drive back to Provo to fight with them for 20 minutes before they’d give me the cake at the quoted price.
TL;DR: They tried to rip me off and almost messed up my friends wedding.

literally everything I have had here is delicious. the staff is very knowledgable about all of their products and are always willing to help. I get a raspberry roll every time I go in! I had to stop going daily because I gained my freshman fifteen, but love going for the occasional treat

COME ON GUYS!!! AS GOOD AS ITS GETS!!! this place has tasty donuts that are above average quality. They are at a great price… i think a dollar a doughnut so it is a pretty good deal… it just autocorrected donut to doughnut… I have been spelling it wrong my whole life…
Whoa… sorry I got distracted i won the second grade spelling bee this is so… embarrassing. BUT WAIT WAIT WAIT!!! theres more… these arent the best doughnuts I have ever had, I think kripsy kremes are equal if not better.
Don’t get me wrong these are yummy doughnuts with a nice cool to near freezing glass of 2% to whole milk… but its not amazing! It is also within walking distance of my house… please dont stalk me. but i still drive there. im eating doughnuts i obviously care little about my health so… why waste precious energy walking.
THE VERDICT: I like the doughnuts… i will go every now and then… is it as good as it gets, absolutely not. I also like the location… and the small children that parents let walk around and touch doughnuts and then put them back… yep… that doughnut the kid touched… pretty tasty.

Sure their stuff is yummy but DO NOT go here for wedding cakes. They were difficult to talk to, never returned my calls and lost my order at least twice. Even though I double checked about 4 times they could do the style I wanted (a metallic gold cake) they ended up doing some random design with sprinkles (?) and a nasty yellow color. They even charged me extra for the metallic finish that never happened! And the cake was leaning before we even picked it up. I couldn’t believe it. It tasted great but looked disgusting.

Staff was so friendly.
Came in and even at 2pm on a weekday, there were a few other people inside getting donuts and cookies — to me that is a good sign! The shop smelled amazing!
Got 4 donuts and 2 sugar cookies for $ 5! Talk about a bargain!
Exact words from my husband when he took his first bite, «wow! That’s good! Man that is an excellent donut». Amen! We had a glazed, red velvet, maple, & sprinkle and they were all really really good! Sweet, not too bready, soft and fresh. Amazing!
Had a small bite of my sons sugar cookie and it was really good as well.

I am from Southern California so I am very accustomed to having a variety of donut stores for the choosing at my finger tips. Utah however, doesn’t offer many donut stores… Luckily we are blessed with the Provo bakery here in Provo. Not only do they offer amazing donuts, but they also offer other great tasting baked goods like cookies, cake, muffins, etc… This place is honestly the best around and all for a greta price. I love their little shop and employees are always ready to offer advice on when I want to try something new. I come here oh to often thats for sure! Head in to Provo Bakery, pick up a box of assorted baked goods, and then head up 900 east to the BYU creamery and get a bottle of chocolate milk to wash it down! That makes for the perfect meal!

Sorry, I know this is pretty much the only donut shop in Provo, but it is so lame.
I don’t know if I’ve ever had anything remarkable. I am not a fan of their maple bars; the icing is more like a thick frosting. No bueno.
I always see tons of people working in the back, but they never seem to have a variety of donuts. It’s so odd. So for now I’ll continue driving down to Springville to get my donut fix at Daylight.

I tried the double chocolate cookie, macadamia nut cookie, and the sugar cookie. Honestly I didn’t get the hype of their sugar cookie, it wasn’t very moist and I didn’t like their frosting. But I really liked the chocolate one, really moist and yummy!

Provo Bakery. A veritable institution in Y-​town. I’ve been coming here for (cough) years to get their famous raisin-​filled cookies. They’re the best I’ve had anywhere. A fistful of raisin cookie and a tall glass of milk is a specific nirvana for me.
For those who don’t appreciate raisins — I know there are hoards of you out there — PB also offers a full array of yummy treats to soothe anyone’s inner Sugar Bear.
On occasion I carry away bakery boxes lined with other favorites, like their orange rolls, glazed/​raised donuts, and maple bars. They also tend to please the masses with their multitude of cookie selections.
They make custom cookies, cakes, and pies for holidays and special occasions (Fridays are special, too!), as well as freshly-​baked dinner rolls, which are absolutely delicious.
All service I’ve ever had at PB, throughout what feels like ions of time, has been satisfactory. Sometimes it’s stellar, sometimes it merely serves to get the job done. When the place is packed, don’t expect over-​the-​top friendly service. They’re there to provide you delicious delights and get you out the door to your destination, not chat with you about the score of the latest Utah/​BYU game (whoop whoop!)…
The tiny PB building is located on the southwest corner of 100 N and 200 E, an unexpectedly residential area of Provo. The parking lot accommodates maybe 5 cars if everyone parks like a human. Street parking is the way to go here… in and out.
Pricing is very reasonable. Don’t plan on going broke here, even if you splurge. And, if you’re smart, you’ll take advantage of the trip to Provo and splurge. Get one (or two!) of everything! You can blame me if you need to buy bigger pants.
