A great find for lunch with plenty of choices– salads, sandwiches– both hot and cold, soups and a full compliment of hot and cold drinks. The sandwiches were freshly prepared on lovely fresh bread, plenty of freshly sliced meats/cheese and served with what looked like house made chips. I tried the tomato basil soup which was smooth and creamy with a pleasing taste to the palate. Thanks Chris, for the great service, including staying on top of the refills! A very nice experience for four weary travelers.

This is THEBEST breakfast place in the valley. Everything from the croissants to the potato hash, are AMAZING!!! The bacon is super high quality fresh fresh fresh. They also have veggie sausage, it’s the best veggie sausage I’ve ever had! The pancakes are on the same level as The Bear Paw in St. George(which means the best you can get)

If I had to describe my orange roll in one word it would be yucky. If someone were to offer to pay me the price of that orange roll if I ate that orange roll… I would decline. I’ve tried other stuff too and it’s always somewhere from disappointing to average. There are way better bakeries in Provo. Its also quite loud.

I’m really surprised that this place scores a 4 star rating. I’ve been there probably 5 times over the last 2 years. The things I’ve eaten there range«ok» to «not very good at all».the people I’ve been there seem To be in agreement.

I dig Enliten a lot, they have great sammys, a great selection of tea and the baked goods are pretty okay — they tend to be a bit on the dry side but they’re half off after 5 pm so I wouldn’t take it too hard. I think the drinks and food are maybe a little pricey for a pretty basic sandwich but they’re fairly quality ingredients so I don’t mind too much. The service is good, I appreciate that the workers are always willing to make suggestions and I’ve never had anything but courteous service. I came here recently to meet a fairly large group and Enliten had little to no problem accommodating our numbers which was very nice. They were a sponsor at the Provo Pride festival last year so I also like that they’re an LGBT friendly local business. I’ll definitely be back.

I meandered in her on a lazy Friday afternoon. I wasn’t particularly hungry but thought I might enjoy a snack. I got a cup of chicken corn tortilla soup and a maple pecan danish. The soup was absolutely delectable. I wish I would have gotten a bowl and I wasn’t even hungry! Simply put, the danish was incredible. The best danish I’ve ever had. Ever. It was light and flaky yet magically moist and soft. I will be back soon to enjoy more heavenly bites!

Location is awesome. Great place to come and work if you need to. Guru’s is attached to Enlighten Bakery so I think some of the reviews overlap but I wasn’t a fan of the Bakery. The red velvet cake was super super dry. Same with the cookies, not the best. Main point of the review: the pastries are not up to par. The actual guru food is good, in the restaurant, not the sweets.

I just moved to Utah and was in dire need of a great coffee shop where I could bring my laptop and bust out some work. And oh boy did I find it. The atmosphere at enliten is extremely comfortable. All of the staff are super friendly, and willing to hold a conversation while they whip up your coffee. I’ve been here twice now. My first time in I got their triple cappuccino and an éclair. The cappuccino was delicious, I loved that they didn’t fill it with excessive foam and milk. I was able to taste the bold flavor of their espresso. The éclair was incredibly fresh, and to die for(I could have had another) and today I tried something off of their lunch menu. Their French Dip, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The bread was soft and the au ju was perfect, not too salty which many are. I always sit at their bar along the front window where I can people watch and see the beautiful temple and enjoy the beautiful historic downtown Provo!

Love it! My wife and I came here for breakfast and it was quiet, clean, and comfortable to be in. She ordered the Cowboy Benny, while I had the breakfast burrito and they were both amazing. Highly recommend this place to anyone. I’ll definitely have to out their lunch and dinner menu

The leather couches in the front are the best part. My friend and I ordered hot chocolate with hazelnut(pretty good but nothing unique), an éclair(MASSIVE! and okay but not crave-worthy), and a piece of chocolate cake(so cold from the refrigerated case that it just tasted like dense chocolate paste). But the ambiance where we were, sitting on the couch with our hot drinks and cold treats, on a rainy Fall day? That was memorable. And worth the mediocre sweet, sweet fare.

I have been extremely impressed with this dynamic downtown duo GURUSCAFE and ENLITENBAKERY. The customer service is top notch, the menu selection is excellent, and the quality of the food exceptional. I am a local business in the downtown Provo area and I am almost positive my employees and I would starve without this local gem. With the variety offered, we can eat here multiple times a week and never get bored! In addition, I have had Gurus/Enliten cater a handful of events for my business and I have been equally impressed with their service standards; I highly recommend(and I don’t often). Next time you dine-in, remember to tip your cute server, you won’t be disappointed with your experience! I’ll be back #againandagain. Thank you!

Their coffee is really good. I am so picky when it comes to coffee, so once I tried this place I don’t go anywhere to get cappuccino or latte with extra shot. Chocolate éclair is not bad too… I recommend this place

My husband and I really like it here. Their sandwiches and salads are great, but my favorite thing is the clam chowder. The bakery items are amazing as well. I’ve had their coconut macaroons about a dozen times, I love their cheesecakes(the turtle cheesecake and the white chocolate raspberry are my favorites), and the chocolate mousse bombe is extremely rich(in a good way). The chocolate croissants are also to die for. You can order from Guru’s when you eat here, but the only time I’ve done that was to get the sweet potato fries, which were delicious. :)

One of the most underrated places in Provo. With it’s superstar sibling next door this place often gets looks past. Go for the amazing café drinks and awesome bakery. They recently added lounge area that is great with place to enjoy your coffee/coco and use there free wifi. Great place to study

The French dip was amazing! If you need something to warm your soul this winter you have to try it. Your coffee is really good to especially when we don’t have a lot of choices in Provo. Luckily they know how to make a really good iced latte!

The Greek yogurt cheesecake was absolutely delicious! Service was a little disappointing though. The staff seemed distracted as they were taking our orders and made the wrong drinks for both of us. I will definitely be back for the baked goods, but I’ll either stay from the beverages, or really make sure that the staff understands the order.

Delicious croissants and good whole milk. I happened to be eating at Guru’s and ordered this from them and it was fantastic.

Pretty good food. Not the best I’ve ever had, but the foccacia bread is amazing, not sure if it’s homemade. Service was okay, two of the cashiers were arguing pretty bad when the person in front of me was ordering, so that was awkward.

The glass showcase is kept cool with the sub-harmonic arias of tiny, midget angels. Everything in there is cast with a glamour that makes it hard to choose between the chocolate croissant or the sticky bun. Snap out of it! I’m here for lunch. There are a few promising sandwiches, but I had to go with the Reuben. It was a little slow to arrive, but the rye was good, there was ample meat, an obscene amount of cheese, and almost no kraut! How is that a Reuben?! Though the machines say Pepsi, there is Coke. Lured again by the dwarven angels, I got a chocolate croissant because chocolate. We split is betwixt friends, and it was good. Good enough? Time will tell.
