I stay with the meat dishes when I eat here. The fish is good. rolls are good and the Chocolate Cake is fantastic. No a huge selection of food. The staff has always been friendly and taken care of us. The Clam Chowder was really good. It was crowded the last time we ate there and we were in and out in about 45 minutes.

At the new location in springville, the setting seems nicer, but the service has gone way downhill. It took over fifteen minutes after we were seated to have anyone approach us. It wasn’t because they were so busy. There were three employees talking at the front casually. The food was okay, but overpriced. The server was very odd. Rather than asking the normal question«how is everything?» or «is your food okay?», she asked«is your pasta absolutely perfect?» and«isn’t that sandwich excellent?» That type of phrasing was so incredibly awkward. It almost forces you to agree with her even if you are lying. The thing that bumps this up to three stars from two stars is the chocolate cake. I don’t know if I will go back, but I might pick up some chocolate cake to go. The rolls are also good.

Just an ok spot that has a combination of meat, fish and pasta plates. Nothing exceptional about the food, but might be worth checking out. Keep in mind — no alcohol, but there are some TV’s at the counter(which are a rare find in the area in case you care about sports). Probably will not be in a rush to get back unless I need a chocolate cake fix.

As much as I want this place to succeed – based on the fact that its a Provo original, smart location in Riverwoods, and smashing tile entrance – its hard to recommend a place that tends to be slightly above average on food(even with a massive menu), below on service, and lacking innovation that city dwellers desire(no, expect) from a discerning eatery. My archetypal experience was when an out-of-town colleague ordered the«endless roast beef» only to be told that the kitchen had run out around 7pm. Sadly, this is kind of how it goes for me here. About half the time when I take groups here we are delayed, disappointed, rushed out by the wait staff for another person/group, or discouraged by what should, by all accounts, be a better experience. Wish it were otherwise; I’ll still be back from time to time.

This is a tasty place. I’ve eaten here once a month every month since August ’06 as part of my job, and have been quite satisfied with the selection and quality of food. They have a little of everything, from sandwiches to steak to seafood. I recommend the Raspberry Lemonade. The one thing I would warn you against is the Caesar Salad. I got it in a soup and salad deal, and was surprised at the large portion of leafy greens and croutons that they brought out. I was glad of that, but my joy quickly soured when I took the first bite. The croutons were over-stale and flavorless, and the dressing was not very good at all. Trying to eat the whole thing became a chore, and left me disappointed. Other than this, though, everything I’ve had here was very tasty. Just today I had a Cajun Chicken breast sandwich topped with Alfredo sauce that was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. *Update* I used to love their french fries, too, but for the last few months they have been severely sub-par. I thought it was just a fluke, but after the third month in a row I’m led to believe this is a permanent change.(Health issues? Money, perhaps??) This almost makes me want to drop a star for them. Don’t come between me and good french fries, Magleby’s, I swear I’ll drop you!
