SilverGlassArt Gallery is a craftsman and artist Studio/​Gallery/​Workshop excelling in fine silversmithing, fine art and exceptional glass crafting. We use traditional hand crafting methods to create Sterling and Sterling Mixed Metal jewelry, along with fine art watercolors, mono prints, collages and pen and inks. Traditional arts and crafts, mission style, fine art painted glass, lucent glass fused tiles and Venetian wire crafted glassworks, and hand etched crystalline blinds are also created on premises. Exemplary glass and stained glass design are also a hallmark of our gallery. Commission work gladly accepted. SilverGlassArt Gallery is one of the last of the craftsman studios in Provincetown.

Elizabeth Zeldin Silversmith and Fine Art: Studio designed unique sterling jewelry with a painterly sensibility often incorporating images of cities or nature complementary metals and semi-​precious stones. Watercolors, collages and pen and ink drawings that elevate the everyday into fine art.

Christie Andresen Fine Glass Crafter and Designer Extraordinaire: I have enjoyed the art of working with a variety of media since I was very young. These skills have allowed me to approach a unique style of glass crafting that weaves together these mediums, and I have enjoyed the process of experimentation, ultimately finding a balance of each media in the different sets of panels I make.

History

Established in 1990.

SilverGlassArt Gallery is the culmination of 30 years of stained glass experience started in 1990 by Christie Andresen of Taqwa Glassworks Studio and Gallery in Provincetown. Being one of few artisans shops in Provincetown making everything they sold, Christie closed her doors after 18 years. Seeking a new studio to continue glass crafting, Christie and Betsy met while subletting small studios in Welfleet… finding a match made in heaven for both of them. Moving to Whalers Wharf in Provincetown in 2013, creating a beautiful and unique second floor workshop/​studio/​gallery, Betsy and Christie became SilverGlassArt Gallery, a year round artisans gallery, specializing in fine silversmithing, fine art and fine glass crafting. Christie’s unique styles of glasswork and exceptional design work for fine homes and restaurants, and Betsy’s finely detailed «cityscape» sterling cuffs, pendants and earrings, and watercolors and mono prints, create a singular year-​round shopping experience.
