Specialties

Botanica is Provincetown’s unique gift shoppe, specializing in gifts for the home and garden. We carry fine goods for the home and garden ornaments, too. In addition, we have a wide array of original oil, watercolor, acrylic and white line art; fine framed and unframed photography; and prints of iconic Provincetown sites.

Botanica was selected again in 2015 as a medal winner in Cape Cod Life Magazine as best gift shop on the Outer Cape and selected in 2014 as one of the «go to» shops in Provincetown by Boston Magazine. Botanica will be featured in Edge Media’s September 2015 issue.

Botanica is now open 7 days per week, with longer hours on weekends.

History

Established in 2013.

Botanica’s owners, Mark Petteruti and Robert Martin, bring their unique talents for decorating homes and gardens to their shop.

The shop has a wide selection of gifts for the home, including indoor containers, aeriums for air plants, outdoor containers, garden accessories and ornaments, indoor furnishings, original watercolor, oil, acrylic and white line art, giclees, nautical themed gifts, silk plants and flowers, live plants, tillandsias, vintage, soaps, sprays, fragrances, gourmet food and pillows.

It carries products from Beekman 1802, Sarabeth’s, HomArt, Campania International, Campo De’Fiori, Two’s Company, Madison Bay, Root Candles, Motawi Tileworks, Michel Designs, Inis Ireland Fragrances, Pre de Provence Soaps, Screencraft, Paine Balsam Pillows, Eric & Christopher, and Frank Lloyd Wright.

We are currently featuring the original art of Brian Larkin, James Harper, Roger Lemelin and Linda Turoczi. We have photography by Jeff Hitchcock and prints by Alan Claude

Business Owner

Mark has a degree in horticulture from the University of Rhode Island and operated a business in Pennsylvania for nearly 20 years before bringing his talents to Provincetown. Robert has a law degree and practiced law in Philadelphia for 25 years before bringing his talents to Provincetown. Botanica is entering its third year in 2015 with lots of new products.

Botanical is my new favorite shop in Ptown. I own a place here and know all the shops and this one is by far the most unique in terms of what they have to offer. They have soap bars made locally, air plant of all sizes, real live topiaries that are beautiful, small succulent plants that can liven up your home and will never die, and beautiful glass and ceramic vases. There’s something for everyone. It also doesn’t hurt that the owners Bob and Mark are the most wonderful guys around. They love to chat with their customers. If you’re one of those people who are already thinking of Christmas this is the place to go for gifts for friends and family. They are open year round! Hope to see you there. Cheers

Cool little shop! We went there every day when we were on vacation! Love all the little gifts and cool plants. They have air plants, plants that don’t need soil or a pot, just mist! Amazing.

Cute place in Ptown. I stop in every time I visit and maybe buy a little something. Its a no pressure store on Commercial street. It has a number of unique little things. I purchased a iron door stop in the shape of a Boston Terrier. It was the perfect gift and not a bad price!
Pros:
–Clean shop.
–Items are neatly set up and clearly priced.
–The staff is friendly and quick.
–Items are unique. Great birthday gifts!

I spent over $ 150 on two visits to this shop. I wanted to return one item because I thought the quality of the item did not justify the price. They refused to accept the return. Saying that because some electronic pricing system they couldn’t accept returns without a receipt. They own the shop I am sure they could have done some override Oh well there a lot of other places to shop in Provincetown.

I send everyone I know to Botanica when they come to Provincetown. I know from my experience that they have the perfect gifts. They have candles, cape cod artsy things, and really unique gifts. For birthdays, anniversaries, and holiday gifts, I always seem to be able to find something for everyone.

Botanica is one of the best new shops to come to Provincetown and I think in many ways it represents what I love about this place. They have the most wonderful creative and fun gifts that are perfect for the home or garden. I have become addicted to the Beekman products (especially the various spreads) and their candles are on my future purchase list. Bob and Mark the owners are the nicest guys and the store has such a warm and wonderful vibe.

This is definitely one of the nicest shops in Ptown. The owners have stocked it with a great selection of gift items and there is a bit of everything for everyone at all different price ranges. The owners have a great sense of style and are very nice to deal with. The garden outside is gorgeous.

This was one of the prettiest shops I visited while wandering around Provincetown. Beach themed paintings, ceramic seashells and starfish, and lots and lots of nautical stuffs. My favorite find was a pair of seat blue seahorse salt/​pepper shakers. Just adorable.

If you’re looking for something special to accent your home this is your spot. It’s a beautifully maintained store (you feel like you’re in a little green oasis) and the owners are helpful without being in the way — a true art in today’s retail industry.
I found a delightful mix of home accents that included contemporary designs (Sagaform), traditional seaside décor, candles, stationery, and art. Best of all the prices are very reasonable and the owners are currently running specials if you check in on Unilocal.
With your purchase (depending on amount) they will also give you a choice of gourmet caramels or specialty tea. Now this is true hospitality and is sure to cultivate good will with townies and tourists alike.

What a beautiful store. I shop in p-​town every summer and I’m so thrilled by this lovely new place. Such a great collection of items with very reasonable prices! I purchased a beautiful set of clay pots to create a windowsill garden while my sister found two paintings of herbs with thick gold frames for her kitchen. Can’t wait to come back!
