The Spa at the Providence Biltmore

The Biltmore Spa is consistently amazing. Top notch services delivered by professionals in a clean and tranquil setting. Absolute perfection!

I took my husband here for a couple’s massage for his birthday. Upon arrival we were escorted upstairs to the locker rooms and lounge area. Early Sunday morning we had the place all to ourselves. Nice robes but I would recommend bringing your own sandals or flip flops. Our massage therapists were great. Unfortunately there was a construction crane doing work a few streets down and I could not relax with the outside noise in the background. They will validate parking but you’ve got to ask. Read a lot of reviews saying if you live in Providence you get a 20% off discount but this was not the case for me and they did ask if we were locals.

Best Brazilian wax I’ve ever gotten. Bailey was great. She made the experience comfortable, minimal pain involved and everything (EVERYTHING) was taken care of. I highly recommend her. Totally worth the money. Also, if you live or work in Providence, make sure you mention it for the 20% discount.

I started coming here through Groupon (few years ago) and was always impress from the beginning. A recent experience was what made me write this review. During their spa week promotion I had book a massage (how can pass up a good deal) however, the day before my reservation I had sprang my ankle that left me in a boot and crutches. I had called the next morning to cancel and expecting to have some consequences for canceling last minute (not intentional obviously) INSTEAD Deb (the spa manager) was totally understanding and even offer to honor the promotion for future use. Talk about customer service! She excelled in my expectation. Because of great staff and customer service this Spa deserve more than 5 stars!!! Thank you again Deb!

I have been here several times and it is always a great experience. It is a beautiful space, relaxing vibe, everyone you encounted is helpful and accomodating. If you are able to find a Groupon, the prices are reasonable. I typically do not go without one in hand (typically for a pedi). I am impressed and it takes a lot for me to be so; I’m not afraid to admit that. The dim and peaceful lounge area is a great start to the experience. The anesthecians are very professional. The only things I would change would be: 1) install chairs with massaging feature in pedicure area 2) add a few more choices in terms of nail color. But, overall, reall great experiences, as I said, each and every time I have been. I leave feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and at peace.

My husband and I visited the spa on March 28^th and were extremely happy with our experience. My husband had a Swedish massage and said it was the best massage he ever had. He was having trouble with his shoulder and since his massage, it no longer bothers him. While he was having a massage, I was having a pedicure with Julie. I was very pleased with the pedicure and I enjoyed the time spent with Julie. She was very attentive and made sure that I was always comfortable. Everyone at the spa are very professional and they all go out of their way to make sure you get the most out of your spa experience. The spa had to change the time of our appointments, due to a staffing emergency and the manager Deb went above and beyond in compensating us for the disruption.
This was my second time visiting the spa and both times the service has been exceptional. I look forward to my next visit. The hardest part will be deciding what service to get, because they have all exceeded my expectations.

Could not find any reason not to give 5 full stars. We tried this spa with a groupon for a couples massage on our anniversary, it was the first massage for my man and he loved it. It was wonderful! Deb and her staff were fabulous, will definitely go back for our next anniversary.

Ok… You got me, Spa at Biltmore. Officially impressed. I went back for a 2^nd visit & all the feedback from my prior review was noted & fixed! The manager, deb, really cares & is responsive to feedback.
I had a great signature massage by Julie. She focused on my trouble spots & appropriately adjusted the pressure to my liking. The aromatherapy added to such a relaxing state, I almost fell asleep.
In my prior review, I listed some areas of improvement– all were fixed… To the point where I stepped out of the shower, & there was a towel that suddenly appeared on the ground for me! Now that’s attention to detail. It was like little spa-​elves were magically making my every relaxing wish come true.
I walked out a new woman. Some ppl have yoga, some ppl meditate… Is it bad that I need someone to knead on me every once in awhile? I can’t think of anything better I can do for myself. And if you sign up for their email list, there are specials that make this affordable for the average person. I’m hooked. I will be back, Spa at Biltmore.

I got a facial for my birthday a couple of weeks ago. It was my first time going to this spa but the reviews looked pretty good so I thought I would try it. I am used to going into Boston for these things but I am trying to find local places. I wasn’t disappointed with this place.
I was greeted as soon as I walked in. The receptionist took my coat and walked me over to a waiting area so that I could fill a form out. The spa itself is a very nice and relaxing place. She took me upstairs where the bathroom and lockers are. The robes could stand to be a bit nicer for the level of this spa. They weren’t horrendous but I did expect something nicer. Not a big deal though. After getting into the robe and slippers I headed over to the waiting area which I didn’t manage to get pictures of. It’s a comfortable room and there is cucumber water in there (not my thing though). I was called in for my facial and it turned out to be really enjoyable. Everyone was nice and professional. I’d have no problem going back for more services. I wish I had been getting a massage too. I wouldn’t have minded being there longer than I was.
Also, a 20% tip is included in the price which is fine with me. They also give a 20% discount if you are local so that covered my tip.

I came in on a Saturday morning for a blow out. Front desk service was friendly and after check in, I was taken to a lounge to wait for my appointment. In reading other reviews, I was not offered water or tea at all during my visit (maybe this is only for those receiving a massage). My stylist came over and was friendly but I noticed I was the only person in the entire salon. I thought this was odd for a Saturday morning. The stylist then asks what I’m looking for– I tell her wavy curls that will hold all day for a wedding I was attending that evening. She proceeded to tell me she would not wash my hair but instead began curling my hair without using any type of heat protectant. I was given a quick spritz of hairspray and on my way– total time was less than 30 minutes. The total was $ 40, since a 20% gratuity was already added. Within an hour, my curls had fallen and my hair smelled burnt from the curling iron. It took 2 washes to get that burnt smell out of my hair. Overall, I was really underwhelmed with the result of my blow out (which wasn’t really a blow out).

We went here twice and the people are what makes this place great! We only went for massages so I have no knowledge of the other spa services offered but I can say that the staff was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our first visit and returned courtesy of the hotel (my wife’s first review wasn’t 100% so they gave us another session). Just that fact alone says they will go above and beyond and for that reason they get five stars from me! The space is luxurious and clean, separate areas for relaxing before and after your session as well as lockers and showers (if you need it). Thank you Biltmore and we WILL be back!

It isn’t typical for me to give a spa (or anything for that matter) a five star review. The spa at the biltmore made me feel relaxed, happy and downright amazing.
First off, the ambiance. Elegant and upscale. I loved the tea and cucumber infused water in the reception area. Once my pedicurist took me back, she offered me a warm neck pillow and anything else to drink. The colors left a little to be desired but this experience was much less about the nail polish and way more about the relaxing time to myself.
The pedicurist always made sure I was comfy and really took her time to clean up my disasterous feet. She scrubbed way longer than she probably normally does.
The best part? Afterwards I went back to the reception area for another cup of tea and time to just read my magazine and do nothing. It felt amazing.
It’s a tad pricey at $ 55 for a pedicure but worth the extra money for a couple great pedicures a year. I noticed that they had set up for a bridal event and it looked amazing with bottles of prosseco and flowers!
I will be back. Oh yeah, complimentary valet parking! That made me feel like a socialite!

My best friend and I recently stopped in for a girls’ day. I had a neck, shoulders, and back massage and my friend had an island bliss manicure. We had a fantastic experience. From the staff that provided our services (my massage with Daniel was amazing) to the front desk staff to the housekeeper in the women’s locker room — everyone was kind and professional. The spa itself is clean, modern, and soothing. The little details make you feel truly pampered. I would definitely recommend the Spa at the Biltmore to others. Can’t wait to go back!

I had an amazing experience at the Spa at the Providence Biltmore! The employees were so welcoming, and the atmosphere was definitely relaxing. Tracy gave the best massage I have ever had, and I have had a good amount of massages before from various spas in the area. The swedish massage is the type I would recommend, and make sure to arrive around 15 minutes early! The cucumber lemon water was delicious and refreshing. The oils they use were a perfect blend of relaxing scents with a refreshing feel. I would highly recommend this spa to anyone in the area looking for a very good, relaxing experience. They also can accommodate for a couple’s massage, which is so nice to be relaxing in the same room with your loved one. Another tip: they have complementary valet so you don’t have to worry about parking (make sure to get your voucher validated with the spa).
Overall, a great experience with a 100% relaxed feeling after leaving this fabulous spa!

Sent my mother in for her birthday and she loved it. Great treatments, newer facilities and fantastic deals via Groupon. I’d recommend taking advantage of the deals being currently offered since the Biltmore will probably not have to do Groupons after the hotel is fully renovated.

Ling took excellent care of me during my 50-​minute «Island Bliss Pedicure» at The Spa at the Providence Biltmore. I came with the Groupon discount, which I missed out on the last time it went around. I really regretted not grabbing the discount the first time after seeing the stellar reviews coming from my fellow Unilocalers over The Spa and grabbed it ASAP the next time it was on the site. I am now unsure how I could ever go anywhere else for nail care after going to The Spa. I think I am finally done coasting through mall and hole-​in-​the-​wall nail salons trying to find somewhere halfway decent to get my hands and toes to look good.
After experiencing the luxury and comfort of The Spa I don’t think I could ever go anywhere else again for nail care. The nail and massage facilities are on the second floor of The Spa, to minimize noise from wedding parties getting their hair and make-​up done downstairs. When you’re brought up to wait for your nail technician by a receptionist, they sit you in a comfortable relaxation room with complimentary lemon-​cucumber water (it’s *so* good) and low lighting to wait for them. For clients getting a massage, there’s locker areas to leave your belongings and complimentary robes to lounge in while you wait. Ling took extra good care of me, changing my polish from the original color I picked to a more appropriate fall-​orange after I noticed how bright the first shade ended up being. When my pedi was done I got to wait again in the relaxation room (this time with a cup of tea) until it was time to pick up my car from the complimentary valet once my toes were dry. Since the prices at The Spa are a bit steep (hey, you get what you pay for in this case) I will definitely come back here and take advantage of the 20% off student discount in the future.

My 50-​minute island bliss pedicure at the spa today was heavenly. It was my first time to the Biltmore, and second pedicure ever– and now I anticipate coming in for some pampering way more often. I used a Groupon for this appointment, but with the 20% discount for students and residents of the area, I may not be able to wait until the next Groupon to make another appointment!
My pedicure was on a Monday, and with Lauren. Every detail, from the lemon cucumber water in the relaxation room to the low lighting and intimate design of the spaces made me feel welcome and relaxed. The pedicure itself was indeed bliss– the sugar coconut scrub left my feet and legs feeling so incredibly soft and smelled amazing. I’m still in awe of how Lauren’s massage was not ticklish in the least! And she expertly applied the tangerine-​colored polish I chose, so my nails will look great for the couple of weeks of sandal weather we have left. Beyond being a great nail technician, Lauren was also so fun to talk to, and we had a great conversation.
I really wanted my time at the Spa to last longer, but alas, an hour later I had to leave its realm of soothing scents and calming music and venture back out through the revolving doors onto the busy street. At least I could look down and admire my toes! I will definitely be returning soon.

I indulged in a wonderful, relaxing custom facial at the spa while staying at the Biltmore for work. I happened across a Groupon for a 50-​minute custom facial while Googling the Biltmore before my trip and decided it would be the perfect opportunity to treat myself during a busy conference. They were able to get me in first thing in the morning and it was definitely worth it.
As soon as I opened the doors, I was taken into an incredibly relaxing environment. The locker rooms were nice and spacious and the waiting area was great. Maybe it’s because I was the first one in that morning and the only one in both areas, but it was such a great place away from the busy hotel where I was staying. By the way, I didn’t know this, but hotel guests get 20 percent off all services. I would have made another appointment for something else if I had more time.
The facial itself was the best I’ve ever had (OK, so I’m not very experienced when it comes to facials or even spas, but it was seriously amazing). The products used felt great on my skin and my esthetician (I can’t remember her name) had the most wonderful hands. After she was done, my skin never felt better. She expertly extracted blackheads and the scalp massage was perfect. The cucumber water I was given after the facial was a great touch, too.

Definite relaxation. The waiting room says is all: comfy seats, dim lighting, and cucumber water. It exudes quiet tranquility. The locker room offers up silky robes and jelly slippers to put you in the mood. They provide whatever you may need to take a shower in case you choose to take one after your treatment. The staff is excellent, from the front desk to the treatment rooms. The service lives up to the prices.
My sister and I recently purchased some Groupons for facials and pedicures. We had booked back to back appointments to have ourselves a little spa day. After our incredibly relaxing facials, we were handed glasses of cucumber water and lounged in the waiting room before our pedicures. 30 minutes passed but no one came to get us for our second appointments. Turns out there had been a mix up in the appointment book and they had never been properly scheduled. We were disappointed, but agreed to just rebook that portion of our appointment rather than waiting longer.
In addition to many apologies, the manager comped our facials for this visit and said we could use our Groupons for both the facial and pedicure next time. We were so impressed by the way the staff handled this misunderstanding. It turned what could have been a disappointing experience (despite our awesome facials to have to wait around for pedicures that never happened) into one that was properly resolved and made us look forward to our next visit. That’s the kind of service that will keep customers happy and returning in the future!
In fact, I have returned on several occasions since the Groupon incident and have had a wonderful experience each time. We even took our mom for Mother’s Day and she fell in love as well!
Also, the Spa validates your valet parking so you don’t have to pay! Just tip the driver. Another nice perk for a relaxing day at the spa.
