Second Ever UYE in Providence !

I’m glad I finally way my way over to the pineapple because it was a welcoming and social group. What a great way to spend one of the first nice evenings of the year.
Thanks to Lou for the drink before he even met me and organizing it all.
I can’t wait for the next one!

Perfect location, cool people, good drinks… What more could you ask for? High fives to Lou for putting this together, and to Leighann F. for making an appearance all the way from Boston. The Hot Club was a totally perfect venue for this type of meetup. Can’t wait for the June event!

Had a great time meeting again with both new and familiar faces! This was a fantastic location to meet up in right off the water, although for next time I think we all should bring some fleeces or come back when its July and 90 degrees! Can’t wait to meet up in June with everyone. Lets harass the other cool Rhode Island Unilocalers to come out to the next meetup with us!

Loved the setting. It was wonderful watching the sun inch down over the horizon and feel the cool breeze play over the water at the Hot Club. Great conversation was had by everyone as we stuffed our faces… no, literally, we stuffed them. With Stuffies.
I’m also glad to see the event grow a little bit. Went from a handful to a couple handfuls of honest food lovin’ folks.

I can’t think of a more perfect setting on a more perfect day for this event. Sitting out on the deck at the Hot Club, soaking in the sun, meeting all these wonderful and interesting people, drinking an ice cold beer, absolute perfection! Leighann F. not only had a cameo, but brought us some awesome swag! It feels nice to be accepted by our mother hen from Boston, even if we are in little ol’ Rhody. Thanks again to Lou P. for setting up a great event. I am looking forward to more of these get-​togethers!

5 stars again for everyone who came out! It was so awesome to see everyone, either again or for the first time. Perfect weather and better company always makes for a fantastic evening.

What a great location for an event such as this!
The thunderclouds parted just in time for this inviting, relaxing, and overall enjoyable event. The stress of long workdays long forgotten, I was able to kick back, indulge in some tasty beverages, and meet lots of great and interesting people! It was nice to see familiar faces from the last event!
The end of the dock at Hot Club provided an intimate yet open atmosphere. It truly provided a unique venue for our get together. Right on the water we had spectacular views of the city skyline, new bridge, and inner harbor of Providence.
Props to Lou for another successful Providence UYE!!!

Perfect location, friendly people, and drinks ranging from as little as 2 dollars to 500 dollars. A lil something for anyone.
Imagine walking along an outdoor bar dock and catching a glimpse of a pineapple in the distance. Walking over you realize there is a friendly group of people chatting on a dock that jets out into the water. Not only that but you have a fantastic view of the city, the sunset, and even the bridge that lights up as night rolls around.
Even Leighann showed up with a bag of goodies. I almost feel like when she shows up, what it must feel like when troops in distant countries see the president drop in for a visit. Except instead of instilling hopes and dreams of a better country, Leighann eats a shady hotdog and tells us funny stories filled with expletives. Haha.
Met a lot of great people at this event and I can’t wait for the third event! Hopefully the power that be will realize Providence is a mini Boston that can be just as fun!
