Gamache Vintners

Loved the 2011 blend and bought a bottle. Mead really confused by the fact that they don’t honor industry discounts, at least the rude manager lady said they didn’t. Weird that when I signed their non-​taxed logbook, it was also the «Industry Discount» logbook. Didn’t appreciate the dishonesty from the manager and the employees basically confused as to why she would not do it. Too bad, keeps this rating at least two stars from its potential.

Good quality wine! Customer service is always good! Come and enjoy and stay at your leisure… become a wine club member and enjoy more incentives… love love love Kim… she is super passionate and has a memory of an elephant… hahaha! No but really she is the sprinkles on the cake, you will have an amazing experience esp with her!!!

After walking from the RV Park to the Vintner’s Village this was the first place we stopped in. The ladies working behind the bar were very friendly and welcoming. It was just my grandma and I sharing a tasting and the placed us at the end of the bar, gave us our own crackers and dump bucket. The gal helping us was very conversational and they had a nice big tasting room.
I really liked a couple of their wines but they were $ 30 a piece, tasting was only $ 5 so I saved my receipt just in case I came back. I thought the wines were really good and I definitely recommend checking this place out.

We visited this winery during spring barrel 2013, so it might not be reflective of normal operations there. I was very excited to try this winery because I had multiple people mention it as well as other wineries recommend it, so maybe the standards were set too high.
Even though it was a busy weekend, when we walked into their tasting room it wasn’t busy at all, but unfortunately we still weren’t given very personal service. They gave a 6 tickets to try 6 wines, but they probably could’ve just told us you each get 6 tastes and kept track since there were only three of us in there (they were very strict about their tickets!). Anyway, that aside, the wine was underwhelming except the barrel samples they had (which were in decanters). These were fun because it was the same wine aged in different barrels (one french oak and one american oak). However, when we asked what the plan was for the wine or if it’d be available soon they didn’t have any answers for us. They actually didn’t have many answers to a lot of our questions, which was strange and made for a not friendly feeling atmosphere. I will try this place again during a non-​special event weekend, but now they will have to impress me!

This was one of the participating wineries in the Wine and Chocolate weekend, the first one we went to. Their tasting room is cozy and has the typical kitschy gift assortment available for souvenirs. They were pouring at least 6 wines, maybe 7 or 8. There were some whites in the mix but I stuck with the reds. I enjoyed the Boulder Red very much.

Our group had lunch catered here during our wine tasting event. They were very accommodating, bringing around tastes of their wine while we ate and explaining the wines to us. Really good Syrah! I love their tasting room, they have some cute shirts and kitchen goods with sayings that will literally make you laugh out loud. Nice people.

Beautiful winery, extremely friendly staff, and most importantly… great wine! I saw another reviewer who gave Gamache bad scores due to their tasting/​cup fee. When I go wine tasting I don’t base my reviews on tasting fees, I’m already expecting to pay between $ 5-​$ 12 at each winery. Of course, if you buy a bottle (I bought 3) then you get your money back. Overall I had a great time at Gamache and I’m more than satisfied with their wine, it is excellent.

Yes, you read that correctly. We recently visited Gamache on a weekend tour of Prosser, Zillah and Richland’s wineries. We visited 12 altogether. Our stay at Gamache was extremely short-​lived.
In fact, we didn’t bother tasting. Many of their wines seem to have received great reviews or awards, but the attitude at the door shut us down cold. The web site indicates that «A $ 5 tasting fee is refundable with purchase, excluding special event weekends.» But there’s no mention of a $ 1 fee to use one of their plastic glasses to take part in their $ 5 tasting.
Maybe for 50 cents we could have gotten a red plastic cup so we could drink warm Coors Light around back.
Why not just charge a $ 6 tasting fee and dispense with the ridiculousness?

Most fun tasting room we visited in the area! Sarah (as she pronounced like Syrah) was a delight and guided us to a great place for dinner. We are very happy that this was the wine club we joined since they have drop off parties in Seattle (near where we live). FYI: we picked up the ’06 estate syrah and the ’08 Boulder Red during our stay.
