This place has got some great artists here. Beautiful place. Unfortunately the stuff is really expensive, but if you live in Princeton, I guess this would be your go-​to place for arrangements and houseplants if price isn’t an issue.

Rachel was very helpful when I wanted to send flowers from out of state as a birthday surprise. Great customer service and fantastic flowers!

Just two days ago I was looking for a nice flower shop in Princeton NJ to send an arrangement to a close friend who was very ill. I called and went over what I was thinking for the arrangement and the women was just lukewarm but ok. Then I asked if it could be delivered to the address that day and it was 11:00 am and she said no. Ok I then shared with her my time sensitive situation for these flowers since my friend was very ill and she said no tomorrow. Ok so I put the order in and the next day I called by noon and said so have they been delivered yet and she said no. Ok when then –well by 5pm she says. Wow ok knowing the time sensitive situation I had shared and I spent a decent amount they cannot find it in their hearts to be a tad faster?! Apparently not and in my experience as a event stager and interiors for SF and Savannah I do not understand a flower shop who does not have a heart… flowers are personal and maybe the last thing you can share physically with a close one and in this case– it was the case.
So for me services like this are personal and if you are a flower business without a heart well that is not my kind of shop. In fact if anything you are probably anxious and need some reassurance that everything will be taken care of to the best of their ability…
I was raised in Princeton NJ and I am sad that this apparently is as I was told by them– the only florist shop in town and good luck kind of vibe on finding another!
Good luck indeed for anyone that needs something special faster then their normal convenient schedule.

Viburnum is the best florist shop in the Princeton area! If you want quality flowers and the best service, they are my number one choice. Working with Rachel at Viburnum was one of the easiest aspects of wedding planning! The flowers came out more perfect than I could have imagined. Rachel is very talented at taking an idea/​feeling you want to convey and making it a reality. I wanted something soft and romantic, organic but not too rustic, and incorporated multiple pinks/​pastels with varied greenery, but didn’t wind up looking too busy. She managed to do all of this and more, could not have been happier! I was so happy with my bouquet that I never wanted to put it down. If I could give them more stars I would!

I contacted Claire at Viburnum Designs remotely from my home in Los Angeles. I needed flower arrangements for my wedding reception in Princeton, but I would be in Los Angeles until a week before the event. So I couldn’t really go into the shop and talk about flowers and pick out designs. It all had to be done over email and trust. Oh my GOSH — I am SO happy I went with Claire. She really nailed the look I was going for the the flowers were exquisite!!! Such a relief for a bride who planned her entire wedding from the other side of the country! I have a million thanks for Claire and her work!

Viburnum was the florist for my wedding and I can not say enough wonderful things about my experience with them. I primarly worked with Rachel who is extremely professional, caring and talented. She listened to our thoughts and helped us make thoughtful choices about the flowers and overall design concept for our wedding while remaining very considerate of our budget. I highly recommend Rachel and Viburnum.

I was disappointed with the overpriced balloon bouquets the florist prepared for our party. I also felt the wrist corsage did not attach properly, and as a result, it was a nuisance to wear. Finally, the hydrangea bouquets did not hold up for the duration of the event. When I asked for a price adjustment, Ashling did not accommodate me. I would not recommend this florist. I’m allowing 2 stars instead of one because they delivered on time and some of the arrangements were satisfactory.

We worked with Rachel to prepare for our wedding in Hamilton, NJ, and from the start we were very happy with Rachel and Vibernum’s level of service. Rachel put together a wonderful design that met all of our objectives. During the planning phases, Rachel was very attentive to our every need. She would always find time to speak with us about our project. Rachel’s transparency and direct feedback was very useful, as this was the first time we had used a florist for an event. On the big day, the floral arrangements looked absolutely stunning — from the center pieces to the rose petals elegantly strewn down the aisle. Rachel even helped during the ceremony, showing her commitment to getting the big day just right. We are very grateful to Rachel and Vibernum for the excellent work, and highly recommend them.

Ashling and the team at Viburnum was absolutely perfect for our Philadelphia wedding. She far exceeded our expectations in design and execution. They were by far some of the most stunning wedding flowers I have ever seen. I cannot say enough about how well done and well taken care of we were. I would highly recommend Viburnum Designs. They truly have a talented team!

I Needed flowers for my friend who is going through a tough time. Popped into the store and a lady called Bet (I think) helped me pick from a table full of flowers and to be honest there was so many beautiful flowers I was a little confused. She was so helpful and the end result was exquisite and only $ 28!!! You can see she loves her job and I also would be smiling every day if I was surrounded by all the beauty. Will 100% be back.

It is an extremely nice flower shop, however the service is terrible. The lady who helped us was very nice, however the florist was extremely rude as hell. The florist was extremely judgemental. We asked for the price for one of her arrangements that we felt was extremely nice, but she told us that it was «kinda expensive» as if we couldn’t afford it. Good customer service is the utmost important thing to maintain in a business. If you don’t have that, you can lose customers. I’d rather spend $ 1000 on a plant where I am treated with respect rather than pay $ 250 on a plant where I am thought poorly of. It’s about customer service and respect. People should be treated the way they would like to be treated. It’s quite sad because it’s quite a lovely little store with very lovely flower arrangements.

all I have to say is, be very very prepared! I walked in after my hair cut down by cosmo bleu and I’ve always seen this shop and was tempted one year to order flowers for my mom on Mother’s Day but I never got the chance. so I came in here wanting peonies. and then was looking around they didnt have any in the front. someone came and asked if I needed assistance I said yes I would like some peonies. she went to the back and got one half open bud and one closed on and said she had white and pink. I asked her how long the buds stayed open and she said a few days. then she asked me what I wanted I was hesitant cause I was trying to imagine what would look good. then she said both and I agreed thinking she meant both colors — no that wasn’t what she meant. she meant the open or closed buds. it was after I was paying for it that I had realized and I wanted to say something but she was off helping someone else and I felt bad cause i think they already cut it. so definitely be prepared. I wanted something else. I couldn’t think of the name and while getting my hair bleached and dyed I wasted all my phone batteries. I had 95% charged in the morning but only 1% by the time i left the salon. I wanted to look up the flowers I wanted which I took a pic of in my phone. but there’s 3000 pictures in my phone so it would’ve taken me awhile to look for it. and my phone was going to die anyway so I decided against it. but now I’m home it was ranunculus that I wanted! so definitely if you’re a first time florist shopper, like me, come prepared.

I have used Viburnum on several different occasions now… celebratory as well as sending flowers to funerals and memorials. I have never been disappointed. Their arrangements always seem to convey the mood of the occasion perfectly. Yet they never lose that sense of creativity or originality. This florist is a perfect fit for the Princeton and surrounding community.

I don’t really make a point of reviewing places unless I’m really, really impressed. For the third summer now these guys have transformed our back patio into what can only be called an oasis. The space, once affectionately known as ‘tar beach,’ due to the fact that tables and chairs sat on the blacktop behind the Ivy and acted as our own little slice of outdoor seating (a rarity in Princeton!) As the space grew in popularity we decided to make it ‘nice.’ I was not aware that improving the appearance of that same space some 35 years in, would even be an issue. Long expensive story short, we got the green light. For those fortunate enough to successfully navigate all the hurdles in place to obtain the proper permits and variances and site plans and then to convince advisory boards to vote ‘yeah’ is a frustrating and COSTLY endeavor. After all that, when we got the go ahead we HAD to make it nice. Really nice! I had no clue who to go to, and that’s when someone recommended Viburnum. ‘Viburnum?, I said ‘The flower shop?’ How wrong I was. In my wildest imaginations I couldn’t have envisioned what the folks at Viburnum did to accomplish the transformation. Ashling took over and promptly told me what to have made structurally (fence boxes – but the whole length of the fence.) From there, I was politely but firmly told to step aside. She meant it. From there her crew took over. I didn’t even know what they were planting, but boy am I glad they did. Words can’t adequately express what the patio looks like now. I have people calling, emailing, stopping in, all asking who did the work? Well, it’s Viburnum Designs. For those of you, like me, that thought Viburnum was a local flower shop, think again. These guys come to your house, your business, your work, your kids junior prom, your wedding and even one day I’m sure, your wake! They don’t just deliver and/​or sell flowers and plants from the shop – they dig into YOUR dirt and transform ehhh. into WOW!

we were just window shopping but the arrangements were absolutely amazing. their aesthetic was not of the garden variety. arty and interesting, I felt like we were in a museum.
prices were a bit daunting and we were visiting from out of town, so we didn’t purchase anything. but found ourselves gushing over just about everything we saw, so count us fans!

Gorgeous house plants here, absolutely unique. Prices are high, but if you are looking for something unexpected and beautiful, this is the place. I love just walking through the space. I go there every Christmas hoping to find their miniature poinsettas. If you can afford it, you WILL love the result if you order flowers here. But I mainly walk in from time to time to see their gorgeous houseplants.

What a find this flower shop was! After searching for nearly an hour and looking thru various reviews and web sites, I settled on Viburnum Designs. I live in LA and needed a special something for a special someone in New Jersey. I COULD NOT HAVE MADE A BETTER CHOICE. After I decided on a bouquet, I called the shop and spoke with Claire. She was extremely helpful and easy going. I casually mentioned I was looking for elegant and romantic an asked her opinion on two different selections I had seen online. She volunteered to speak with the designer and see what they could come up with. By the end of the call, I gave them creative freedom and left it in their hands. They were kind enough to text me a photo of the finished product and everyone in my office was impressed.
Excellent customer service, gorgeous flowers, extremely creative staff and fair prices.
They went above and beyond in every way. 5 stars is an understatement.

I haven’t received any flowers from them yet, but from the look of the store and our correspondence, I am very excited to get the wedding flowers which we have booked with them. The store is absolutely adorable and I would come back here more often if I lived closer. Would definitely recommend people to check out this cute store!

While the flowers were ok/​nice, the customer service was surprisingly not, especially given the previous reviews.
It took about 10 minutes for me to get assistance even though the store was empty. The employee/​owner? had been distracted in a casual conversation with another staff member. So when I finally asked for help, she appeared as if I had rudely interrupted her conversation.
Despite the fact that shops should try their best to cater to customers, her approach that day did not seem to value that. The transaction would have been much more positive had she been even a tad friendly– especially since I spent almost $ 50 in flowers in her shop.
I was tempted for a moment to not complete the transaction with her but decided it wasn’t worth it after all the time I had spent there. Plus I try to be cordial with folks in the service industry since I try to always support local businesses.
However, this local business will be one I won’t return to again.
