Established in 2003.

Doggedly Devoted was started after I moved to Prescott in late 2002 and could not find satisfactory pet sitting in the area. My pets are the most important things in the world to me and I expect dedication, professionalism and a true love of animals in the person I would hire to care for them. My experiences with the sitters in the area, over the phone and in person, were very unsettling so I began Doggedly Devoted. Now I am happy to personally give others the care I came to expect.

Doggedly Devoted, Compassionate Pet Care when you can’t be there,

is owned and operated by Julie Abel, currently the proud pet parent of «Wondermutts» Frankie, Ozzie and Silas!

Julie moved to in 2002 with her previous Wondermutts: Shayn, Ruby and Kota. Arriving in Prescott, Julie did not find the quality Pet Care services she had grown accustomed to. The so called «Professional Pet Sitters» were of the perfunctory «we’ll drop by and fill the bowl» type. Julie, like most pet owners, wanted the comfort of knowing her ‘furkids’ were being treated kindly and with individual attention. She surmised that combining her excellent management skills with her inherent love of animals could result in an exciting career change. By harnessing the two together, Julie could provide her new community with a much needed service while satisfying her desire to care for animals. April 2003 saw the birth of «Doggedly Devoted: Compassionate pet care when you can’t be there.»
