Went here for lunch on a Saturday with a girlfriend. Very yummy food, great service, good prices. Will definitely be back!

Being from Chicago, I know good Italian food. This place is amazing. Everything we ordered — appetizers and our main course — was delicious. Our server was very attentive and gave a great recommendation on the bottles of wine that we ordered. Overall, this place is warm, inviting, and the food is spot on. Top notch!

My husband and i came here because one of my patients highly recommended it. Boy was it a disappointment. I learned that reservations are highly recommended. We were seated on the patio which was lovely. They have outside heaters. The ambiance is nice. We ordered a pizza and the halibut special. Waited almost an hour for the food, in the meanwhile, I watched everyone on the patio who was there after us get their food, eat it and leave. We were the only ones left on the patio and still did not have our food. Our waiter told us it would be another 10 minutes. I knew they forgot about our order. No apologies from the management or waiter. We finally got our food which was nothing spectacular. Their pizza is below average and they have nothing on Pizza Hut. I was hoping this would be a better spot that Olive Garden, but their food and service are below average.

Its a hidden gem in a strip mall. The food is delicious and service is good. The wine exorbitantly priced. I have seen some of the wines sold there in traders joe and Von’s for 1⁄3 of the price… yes, the exact same ones!

Just one of many beautifully prepared appetizers at Villa Capri. Not only are their dishes creative and appealing to the eye they consistently taste fantastic. All fresh ingredients and amazing nightly specials.

Based on reviews thought I would try this restaurant out. I’m not sure what people see in this place. I had the minestrone soup or so they call it. Totally bland no flavor at all. The soup consisted of water, tomatoes, carrot and some spinach. No spices at all. The Caesar salad was ok, the curtains were so hard that you couldn’t even bite them. The service was ok, nothing to rave about. The inside was nice and clean and we were seated in a timely manner. I won’t come back though.

I have been here a couple times and always had a great experience. It is a nice little restaurant in Poway. My boyfriend’s parents love going there and a nice neighborhood Italian restaurant to go to. For their Antipasti, I have had their Polenta con Funghi e Gorgonzola and Calamari Fritti. Both are delicious. For their entrée, I have tried Linguine con Capesante e Gamberi and Penne Elena. Also both very very very good. I think anything you order here won’t be a disappointment. Everything my boyfriend and his parents ordered, they have enjoyed. Never a disappointment. A must try if you are around this suburban neighborhood.

This is seriously my favorite restaurant in Poway, Scripps, and Rancho Bernardo area. Best Happy Hour and all of the food is made fresh along with the bread. Their daily specials are always creative and I find myself wanting to try something new but then again crave my favorite salad… Italiano Salad adding chicken and having them chop it. So delicious. My family from Northern California always request a visit to Villa when they are in town. Was there last night and going again tonight. So many regulars in there and a great place to make new friends.

I came here with a group of twelve, it was with the company I work for. We celebrated a farewell lunch to one of the girls that used to work there. It took me a moment yo biew the menu, I had never been there before and I don’t really eat a lot of Italian food that doesn’t mean Italian food is not good… I just don’t get to eat a lot of it. One thing kept popping up and called out my name… Pollo Marsala. I did take a look at the Pollo Marsalla as an entrée, but I had the opportunity to order it as a prefix lunch. At 14.95 I was able to order the Caprese salad which had the fresh basil, mozzarella, and fresh tomatoes. I also received a really good portion of the Pollo Marsala. I also was able to get a small dessert which was I believe German chocolate with caramel drizzle on top. The cake was really good and moist. I didn’t eat it till the end of my work day, becauseI was so full. Also, they did serve fresh bread with butter you can also ask for oil and vinegar to dip your bread into. I really had a great time here this was a good place to have a business lunch, to come here at girlfriends, or maybe have a small family get-together. It is kind of small so be careful the amount of people you bring. Again, we did have a group of 12, however it was empty when we got there. One more thing service was Service was immensely great. Definitely will come back… hopefully very very soon.

Beautiful little Gem in Poway! I have never been treated so well at a restaurant ever! These guys know what they’re doing! The food IS Italia! Do yourself a favor and stop in to get a little taste of Capri in San Diego. So lucky to have this location by my home and the other by my work. Love love love Thank you so very much for your hospitality!

Met a friend here for dinner tonight, honestly, because I had a coupon, but also it had great reviews. It is in a strip mall, near target, but they have set it up nicely. We sat inside, near the bar and started with wine and their bread. Bread and marinara were good, but sauce was very cold, we opted for evoo and balsamic. We ordered the artichoke app, which was very good but not what we expected. It was 3 hearts with the stems that had been lightly fried and were served in a wonderful olive oil and garlic sautee. Yummy but pricey, I think $ 12 for 3 pieces! I ordered the villa Capri penne; penne with sausage, artichoke, peppers in a pink sauce. My complaint is the peppers, way too many green peppers, they over took the dish. Otherwise, pretty good overall! Coupon made it even better!

As far as neighborhood restaurants go, Villa Capri is one of the best of the best. Tucked away in an unassuming corner in the Target shopping center(between Coldstone and the Martial Arts Academy) this quaint Italian restaurant is truly fantastic. We sat at the bar for happy hour, but both remarked how lovely the patio would be during a summer/fall evening. Happy Hour specials — half priced apps and drink specials for $ 4-$ 6. Not bad if you ask me. We went for a few apps, and glasses of the house red, which was a Super Tuscan(not sure if that changes periodically or is the same all the time.) We were served bread with marinara to start, the bread was warm and quite good. I wish the marinara was a little warmer, but it was tasty and we hoped the rest of the meal would be the same. We opted for the shrimp cocktail to start. The bartender was kind enough to let us know that they cooked the shrimp to order, then put it in an ice bath, so this would take a bit longer than a typical shrimp cocktail. When it came out we were pleasantly surprised with the dish. The cocktail sauce they use is different, a little more creamy than typical sauce, but it was yummy. It was also yummy with the bread, if you happen to accidentally drop your bread in the sauce. We also ordered the meatballs and the sausage flat bread. The meatballs were fantastic, and in the same marinara that came with the bread(but it was warm and delicious this time.) With 5 meatballs in the dish, we were fighting over the last one. The sausage flat bread was tasty as well, and plenty for a group of 2 – 3 to share. We have a habit of checking out other dishes as they’re brought to tables around us and everything looked amazing. They also had a health takeout business, which, to me, is a great sign for a neighborhood Italian joint. I’ll put it this way, before we left, my husband remarked«I think we’ve found a new spot.» In his words, this means he’s coming back again and again.

Hi Villa Capri, I’ve been to your restaurant quite a few times. You have a great happy hour, and your food is great. However, tonight I left feeling absolutely gouged by your prices. I ordered your special… The portobello ravioli. In fact, expecting a big heavy dish, my husband and I decided to split it. There were FOUR ravioli. Four. That’s it. Don’t get me wrong… They were good. We each ate our two. Fine. We had an appetizer to supplement our clearly«fine dining» portion. And then… We got the bill. Our ravioli was $ 17.00! I’m no mathematician, but that is nearly $ 5.00 per ravioli. You have to got to be high to think that’s a fair price. $ 12.00? Sure. Maybe even stretch it to $ 13.00. I will always ask for the price of the special before ordering at your restaurant. That was ridiculous, and has turned me off to your place for future outings. Pay attention to the«sound» of your prices. Great food. Ridiculous pricing.

This place is fantastic! It belongs downtown in little Italy! Fine dining. Amazing good and top notch service. I’m very impressed by then and will come back time and time again. Thank you for some seriously amazing dinners.

Returned for dinner with Tony and Salome! We will be back with more family members 12⁄26! My recommendation still stands! If you like the specials, order them! They are EXTRASPECIAL! Osso Buco, Salmon Picante, Scallop Special and Frutti di Mare were all fantastic. Chianti is always a good choice, It was a celebration so we shared Crème Brulee and Chocolate Mousse!

I wish this place was maybe in a different location or that they had a fancier sign out front. The inside is so much more than what the outside would lead you to believe. I can’t believe I had never been here before. It is so comfortable and nice inside. The wait staff is amazing at what they do. Their knowledge of the food and wine is exceptional and I have never seen an expert wine pour the way I’ve seen it here! I ordered the Tortellini Emiliani and subbed the sausage for chicken. The most incredible part of this dish was the truffle oil and cream sauce. I have never had truffle oil and I was blown away! It all paired perfectly with the mushrooms and the tortellini was top notch! We finished off with cannoli, which is an other dish I had never tried. Again, so delicious!!! Plus 4 people ate, had wine and dessert and it was $ 100. Not bad!

OMG! Why haven’t I noticed this gem tucked away in Poway’s Target shopping center before? Came in around 8pm on Friday night and it was busy, but we only waited about 5 minutes for our table. Per review recommendations, I ordered the Penne Elena with rock shrimp and wheat pasta. Delicious! I The portion’s are big, so I’ll look forward to eating leftovers tomorrow. We ordered the Calamari Fritti for starters, too. I swear it was the lightest, crunchiest calamari I’ve ever had. It was so good! My husband ordered the Spaghetti with Meatballs and he loved it, as well. Not sweet and very tangy. This will definitely be our go to Italian spot. One bonus is the superb customer service! We talked to one of the waiters/hosts… probably the owner? He was very nice and chatted with all his regulars, which were plentiful. Can’t wait to come back. Update: Third time here. It seems like the good chef works weekends. I loved it when I came on a Friday and today, Saturday. The second time I came was on a Thursday. It was ok. Today I ordered the Tortellini Emiliani. So good. I def will order this again. I always order wheat pasta and this didn’t disappoint. The truffle oil was a nice touch.

So since the Chula Vista location has been closed I was recommended by friends to try this location in Poway. Let me tell ya so worth the drive !! Located in a shopping center by a Target hahahaha what I can remember … They have patio seating but we chose to sit inside at the bar. The staff were attentive and very friendly and smiles all around. They have a happy hour but only if you sit at the bar. The food and drinks all around were amazing . I will definitely return !!

Back at Villa Capri! Their happy hour is killer. I had the house Chardonnay which was very refreshing and my date had the Sangiovese which was smooth and mellow but full of character. They brought us warm bread and delicious marinara while we looked at the menu. My date had the pepperoni flatbread and carpaccio for half off of normal price because of happy hour. I had the Verde Salad which is just always phenomenal. The owner, Kyle, made sure we always had a full glass of wine and a happy tummy. Another great experience at one of my favorites!

Great service and great food :) Apps — 1. burrata — pretty good. Denser burrata than I’m used to, but delicious. 2. Calamari — big pieces and served with delicious dipping sauces! 3. Melon prosciutto — Great melon and the prosciutto is on the thicker/chewier side. 4. the carpaccio — DELICIOUS. Really light on meat flavor, but just eat it with more cheese. Entrée — the lasagna. omg. I don’t even know what to say about it. Just good. Desserts — the crème brûlée and panna cotta. I’ve never had panna cotta like this before, it’s softer and more like a pudding. Great great great. My stomach was super happy.
