Poway’s Irish Pub

1^st time coming here tonight. I wanted to try it out since one of the students at Bellus Academy told me it was good food. They made my boyfriend and I feel so welcome. Very down to earth staff and prices are a lot better then I thought it would be.

Four stars Great food bomb drink specials pool tables. awsome place awesome bar tender they even have cover bands some nights. would have gave it 5 if there was something to perv out on lol jk but really nooooooo bitches on a Tuesday. just kidding again, I’m married lol jk #iaintgotnotype

Irish pubs are my favorite. Now, I’m currently pregnant so I’m obviously not drinking, but my friend and I went out to watch the Playoff game. we started at Players but it was a little too restaurant vibe for us. I found this right down the road on Unilocal so we came to check it out. Only downside is the jukebox was on so I couldn’t focus on the game, so we left after my friend had a shot ($ 4 Jameson… can’t beat that) to finish watching it somewhere else. We stopped back in so she could take a couple more shots before heading home. We will definitely be coming back once I can drink again!

Plenty of beers on tap (15 or more?) and reasonably priced drinks. Very friendly staff and fun casual atmosphere. Good Classic Rock cover band on Friday nights.

Brunch/​Lunch Sundays 10-​? with Tom & Jay as cooks n Jessica as the bartender. $ 15 all you can eat and $ 25 all you can eat and drink Mimosas (Orange, Pineapple, and cranberry) great environment, friendly people. LGBT friendly. Cant ask for a more chilled laidback place to be. Love it. Pool, music, FOOTBALL!!! Disk game. Best wings… haven’t tasted anything cooked by these two guys that I dont like. Jessica is an awesome bartender. Keeps a smile n keeps it 100. When she isnt here Dan is the man. Can make what your tastebuds ask for. OMG if you haven’t already tried them. Gotta try their Paddy Balls. AMAZING!!!

I love this pub. Great staff, great drinks, great food (MUST TRY PATTY BALLS — fried mashed potato deliciousness) and an all around great environment. They have good live bands on the weekend, trivia and karaōke throughout the week, etc. There’s a patio with tables and chairs for smoking or those who want a little elbow room or fresh air. It’s my go-​to pub and I’d have it no other way!

Great service and love Taco Tuesdays. Great to hear old owner is gone. $ 2 ipa’s too!

If you are not a regular, don’t bother. Came in with two friends and sat at a table near the bar. Made eye contact with the waitress and bartender, yet no service. Nobody asked us if we wanted drinks, food or anything. Despite everyone around us getting service. Waited 20 minutes and took our business elsewhere.
Took my business down the street to another pub and had a fantastic meal, beer and a staff that actually cared.

I have been here many times and I will continue to do so. The bartenders are amazingly kind and have a high level of skill. Mixologists for sure. This is the best place in Poway to hang out with your buddies after work or on the weekends. The vibe is comfortable and entertaining. Pool tables, washers, Thursday night trivia, golf machine thingy, and TVs everywhere.
The food? Way too good to be pub food. It satisfies every beer belly and foodie palate. The guys in the back are magicians with their menu. Food portions are enormous so bring a friend. Prices are decently priced, you definitely get the bang for your buck here.

This might just be my fave place in poway! They have happy hour and/​or specials all the time! The bartenders are super nice and it’s never too crowded where you have to wait forever for your drinks. I am a big fan of their chicken strips and wings! I could be stuck here all night having drankss and playing washers! We came here once for trivia and won first place but never came back for trivia so I guess that means we’re still undefeated haha.

Super awesome place! We came here after our morning hike at Iron Mountain. The staff was friendly, the food was delicious!!! We will definitely be back when we come back to the area.

A fun dive bar. The staff is friendly, the food is good, and the prices are great.
I find myself here often.

The biggest plus here is that they make their corned beef IN HOUSE. Also Rob, Jessica, and Chad were all very accommodating. Service with a smile!
On the downside, the place is rather small and the booths are not properly segregated from the bar area. This led to me not being able to stop in with my son for lunch one afternoon. (I still picked some up some corned beef to go so he could enjoy it elsewhere)

U can dance, eat, drink, play pool, listen to live music. Tonight is the band Bandemic which has a cool Girl as their vocalist.

I’ve been to many Irish pubs, so I honestly don’t think this place stands up to most of them, but it’s decent and I’ll probably go back. I’ve always wanted to stop in, but never made the time until today, having taken a day off from work to transact business at the Poway DMV. A wasted, frustrating morning deserved a pint afterwards.
Divey yes (as others had mentioned), but not a dump. The interior was not particularly appealing, but the barkeep was incredibly friendly. He poured me a perfect, creamy pint o’ Guinness. I ordered Bangers & Mash, which was filling and tasty, although I’ve had much better (a little gravy would help). Maybe a little background Irish music, including some of the edgy more contemporary stuff, could have lent to an atmosphere that was more biker-​bar than Irish pub.
Anyway, plenty of parking, wonderful service, a great pour, and decent food deserves (almost) 3.5-stars.

Small bar/​pub with a even smaller back patio. They have some pool tables and a decent stage for live bands.
I work nearby and have been to this joint many times, most it’s just for a drink or 2 just to blow of steam from a heavy workload but this place it’s honestly just ok, if that.
It’s really funny how you can play the lotto and fill your lotto sheet at the bar, I’ve never seen that.
The reason this place is not 4 or even 5 stars is because of the food menu, customer service, cleanliness and bartenders.
Food is well bar food, fried this fried that but it’s not good everything has been previously frozen.
People working here don’t seem to enjoy the place, they don’t seemed to be engaged and friendly.
The bar area can really use some TLC, and I’m not talking about a remodeling but just cleaning after a previous patrons, I have found myself trying to find a place to sit and having to take stuff to the bar to clean a table, WTF.
The bartenders here can’t a make a decent black n tan, so sad coming from an «Irish bar».
Large parking lot, you won’t have trouble finding a spot.

The best fresh french fries ever! They are thick steak fries with real fresh potatoes they chop there. The service was very friendly & Dan was a great bartender. I took this cool double fisting profile picture at the bar. lol I was in the area & ran into a kid on a skate board who referred me to the Irish Pub near by. He told me his Uncle owned the joint & I was interested in a place that served adult beverages in the early a.m.

Irish nachos are the bomb! Gotta get em with corned beef. And live music Fridays and Saturdays with no cover!
