Whether you are planning for the future with pre-​arrangements, or have an immediate need, Poway-​Bernardo Mortuary can provide complete funeral services; ranging from Customized Cremation and Burial Services to Traditional Burials and Veteran’s Services.

Our directors will work closely with you and your family to create an individual and personalized ceremony.

Our personnel is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for immediate need. We have staff on call after office hours and on Sunday and on Holidays.

History

Established in 1967.

Poway-​Bernardo Mortuary was established in 1967. The Comer Family has owned and operated the mortuary since 1977. Our motto is «Family Owned and Family Minded». We serve the Poway community as well as the surrounding areas of Rancho Bernardo, Scripps Ranch, Rancho Peñasquitos, 4S Ranch, and parts of Escondido.

Poway-​Bernardo Mortuary did a wonderful job at tending to our family’s needs during this difficult time of loss. The facility was clean and nicely set up for our needs. We worked with Art and he was very detailed and up front about the costs of what we wanted to do, etc… so there were no hidden surprises and absolutely no pressure sales in anyway. The staff was extremely understanding and compassionate, allowing us time to decide on what we wanted to do or was most comfortable with. Everyone we dealt with here was extremely helpful and accomodating, tending to our requests promptly and making sure they were to our satisfaction/​expectations.

The staff did an excellent job attending to our family and the needs. Good seating if you have a big family, it’s clean, and has the right things you need to hold a viewing. Unfortunately I would not want to come back here for another loss but this is the place.

My family and I worked with Tori and he was extraordinarily compassionate and understanding during a very tough time for all of us. The folks here are top notch and I wouldn’t hesitate to have them handle any of my family when this unfortunate event happens again. They are easy to work with, understanding, patient and kind when you need these things the most.
