Denali’s Pizza

This place is no good! Ugh very disappointed. The pizza taste like frozen pizza! Little Cesar’s is better than this crap! What a waste of my money an my time to go get the pizza! Negative 5 stars! Don’t waste your money…

Had a awesome buffalo chicken calzone. The inside sauce tasted like hot sauce with something creamy and rich like mayonnaise. Very good.

This place is not for those with high expectations. I wanted something different then Pizza Hut… but this is a place with average pizza and poor customer service. The bread on the pizza didn’t taste good and the chicken was chewy.

Stopped by here with mum and Wee One for the lunch special. For $ 7.99, you get lasagna, a salad, garlic bread and a soda. Not a bad price at all. The lady who works here is super friendly and we enjoyed talking to her very much. The marinara sauce is freaking delicious!!! It tastes nothing like the jarred sauce I am used to. It is tangy and tomato-​y and delicious-​y. Do yourself a favor and order some cookies when you order your food. You get to smell fresh baking cookies while you eat and then you get to eat fresh baked cookies. They were delicious and very gooey and amazing. Definitely going to be back.

I have now eaten at this place with Mum approximately a million times and I swear… One day I will have enough restraint to actually take a picture of the food to post before I dive in and completely maul it.

My daughter-​in-​law brought me here for lunch the first time. I instantly fell in like with the place. I had the lunch special. Lasagna, large salad, garlic bread and a drink for $ 8. Couldn’t beat that deal! No need for a coupon or Groupon with those prices. The food and service were great! I only saw 2 people working here but they both seemed to know what they were doing and did it well. THIS IS MY GO-​TO PLACE FOR LUNCH!
Since then, I have also had the chicken Alfredo lunch special. Both were excellent. My husband really enjoys the Italian sub. I have, and will continue to go back often.

Food was actually pretty good when we finally got it but it took forever to get it and forever for them to take our order. I just think this place was severely understaffed. I hate to base a review on that fact, but it’s not a diner’s fault if the owner/​manager can’t staff a restaurant and service the customers.

This is my new favorite pizza place!
I don’t know what they put in their cheese or their crust but WOW! I love it so much! I can’t get enough! I drive a half hour to their place just to get a pepperoni pizza. It is just that good.
If you haven’t had their pizza yet, you have to. You HAVE to!
I have the pepperoni pizza everytime. It’s simple and so, so, so good! They have a lot of specialty pizzas, but I haven’t been adventurous enough to try them. I want to, but the simple pepperoni is just so great. I can’t get enough!

I’ve been coming here since I moved to the area. I have tried several pizzas and their carne asada and have never been disappointed! Staff is always friendly.

Our family really likes ordering Denali’s.
I wouldn’t go to the shop to eat though. It isn’t great. But order a garlic chicken pizza, with ceasar salad and cookies, and you will not be disapointed.

Very surprised by the people reporting a scam when they hadn’t read the details of the coupon they were attempting to use. Also duly noted, management at Denali’s should have given the deal to them regardless and let things slide at least once. But update the Unilocal coupon, etc. to identify the unique nature of it’s usage.
With that stated… this place is not 3 stars it is at least 4. The service has been good and we order from here many times throughout the year. Their pizzas are great and the delivery service has been on time and very punctual. I’d rate the pizza as above average in taste and worth getting. They do have good customer service. I had one situation where I called in and asked for a half cheese pizza. The pizza arrived at our house covered in cheese. I was upset and the driver left and came back within 30 minutes with a fresh pie that met my expectations.
This is a good pizza establishment.

They had this deal for me to purchase a $ 20.00 for $ 10.00. After I placed my order for delivery they called me saying this is not for delivery. On my voucher it says no where it is for dine in only and not for delivery. It also states for the business owner; «DEAL MUST BE HONORED ACCORDING TO TERMS ON VOUCHER. NO ADDITIONAL RESTRICTIONS MAY BE ADDED AT TIME OF REDEMPTION.» They claimed if they delivered it would be delivered for free. They hung up with me then called back later and proceeded to tell me that they did not have that deal. I checked again and they took the deal off the website. Luckily I took a screen shot of the deal they claimed they never had. Seems like a scam to me. Also the person who works there yelled at me after I said I do not want the food.

The lady here is very nice and the pizza is edible. I haven’t tried anything else. I’ve been here twice and it is pretty disappointing. Im 97% sure the pizza dough is pre-​made/​store bought. They just put the toppings on and run it through the oven to melt the cheese and cook the toppings. I can make much better pizza at home but sometimes I just need to pick up dinner and this place is right next to my kids swim lessons and preschool. I would never come here otherwise. The chocolate chip cookies are apparently amazing. The staff at the swim school next door seem to be addicted to them and I have heard other random people talk about how good they are.

I loved the PiZZA!!! Cheese was excellent, crust was crunchy! Staff excellent!

I finished work in my home studio at 8, called Denali’s by 8:20. The woman on the phone was pretty busy but very polite and quickly took my order. She wasn’t sure if she could accomodate my order but took my information anyway and asked if she could return my call within 20 min. I ordered a med deluxe pizza. As promised, she called me within 10 minutes and made sure it was me, and told me my order would be filled and delivered by 9pm. Said and done!!! We had piping hot delicious pizza by 9pm. It is a no frills, no sugar coating, just plain and simple take your order, fill it and deliver it kinda place! Wonderful when you are hungry and no time to cook. I’ll order again! Our family ordered to go from them. We had a football booster discount card (THANK YOU DENALI’S for supporting the Titan’s) that gave us a free medium cheese pizza with purchase of a large. Also ordered a medium Thai chicken salad. Pizza was tasty and thin crusted. Decent. Better than Little Ceasar’ s for sure. The salad was amazing! Really it was. Not cheap. Fancy lettuce no iceberg. Full of chicken, peanuts, scallions & carers. Very good peanut dressing. I will go back for sure for the salad and to try something else from their huge menu. Can’t wait.

First time here and I enjoyed it! Nice little place, simple, quaint. The garlic chicken pizza was delicious and only took 10 minutes! Service was nice, friendly.

Really 3.5 stars, but I would rather round up.
One thing to consider, according to the guy running this place, is that he bought it and took it over about 7 months ago so the old reviews are unfortunate. In a perfect world, Unilocal would develop a way to add more weight to more recent reviews.
In any case, went there last night. Timed it right and missed the crowd that was leaving when we got there. The place is small, but clean and there were plenty of places to sit. There was some outside and inside seating areas.
TVs are small, but I don’t go there to watch anything. But Subprime is right, in that the choice of channels was strange. When we were there it was Cartoon Network. By the way Sub, they did move the soda fountain so it faces out now.
The owner was very friendly and talkative, and we had a nice discussion about the Groupon experience. The lady behind the counter was also very nice and made sure we were happy.
I ordered a Hawaiian Calzone and it was quite good. Less greasy crust than most. My GF ordered the Denali thing… and she said for a Calzone it was too much. Pineapples, artichoke hearts, all kinds of stuff in that bad boy. Marinara sauce was tasty.
So 3.5 stars… rounded up to 4 to help counter act the single star from ages ago by Bill P. I also tend to ignore ratings by people that have very few (or one) review. :)

Despite the trashing by Bill «Cougar Hunter» P, I decided to try these guys out.
This was a small place, but they did have a bunch of tables and booths inside. I stopped by because I saw that they accepted credit cards and sold sub sandwiches. Denali’s has a crazy wide variety of offerings. They have EVERYTHING from Thai Chicken Salad to Hamburgers to Carne Asada Burritos, plus all the usual Italian suspect.
I selected the chicken parm sandwich. The bread, the cheese, and the sauce were all tasty. I guess the chicken could have been better though.
Cleanliness was about what you would expect from a place like this. A few crumbs on the floor, maybe some streaky lines on the table, but overall It wasn’t bad. It’s a «bus your own table» place.
The service here was exceptional. A welcome when I arrived, the manager/​owner coming by to ask how everything was, and a «have a great day» as I walked out. Not even the baggers at VONS are this courteous.
Could use improvement–
— Soda fountain is not facing the customer, only the staff
— Two dinky TVs hanging from the ceiling. It would be nice if one or both were flat screens. I’d also prefer watching sports news rather than the Young and the Restless.
Try it out for yourself. It’s definitely better than two years ago it seems.
