We became customers of JRC Print & Copy with the original owner over 9 years ago. Now with the new owner, Larre Schlarmann, the quality of service has changed for the worse.
We contacted JRC Print & Copy to order new presentation folders, we even provided them with an example of what we wanted, and asked if they could make the same exact folder. We were told yes. We made some layout changes with the wording via email and I was waiting to see a proof when the entire order was delivered. Upon examination of the folders, the card stock was not correct and did not match the folder we provided them. We refused the delivery, soon after the delivery attempt, Owner Larre called and immediately started yelling at me.
He was irate and berated me over the phone. I asked him to please calm down and said I am sure we could come to a resolution. He continued yelling and arguing with me and threatened to take us to small claims court. Larre was not willing to work out a solution and continued to strong-​arm us for payment with the threat of collection agency. Meanwhile we didn’t even have the product.
We are extremely unhappy with the presentation folders. JRC should have told us that they would not be able to match the high quality card stock we gave them. Also if they would have sent us a revised proof, this could have all been avoided. Also, we asked for a quantity of 1000, however they produced and invoiced us for 1050.
All in all we are very displeased with the final product and the way that Larre handled this. His erratic behavior was very disturbing. We will never use JRC Print & Copy again. I do not recommend this company.

Larre printed my wedding invitations that my Fiancée created. They look great! Very prompt service, excellent price and didn’t charge me for a reprint that was needed. So happy with JCR’s service I would recommend them to anyone!

I am so relieved that I found this place! I was getting quotes for $ 192 plus tax (Kinkos/​FedEx) and $ 222 with tax (Postal Connections) for a 240 page (480 sides) color print job that JRC did for $ 93 plus tax! And he bent over backwards for me! He happened to be in the shop on an early Saturday morning, the store was closed, but he let me e-​mail my job to him and it was ready for me by the time I got there less than a half hour later. Amazing service — and a quality job too!

Awesome service, awesome price, awesome print quality. Took a project to fedex office and the quality was horrible! They couldn’t match up the colors even after 10 try’s. Then they wanted to charge me almost $ 2000! Thankfully I found JRC down the street and they gave me a fair price for quality prints. AVOID fedex the quality they offer for the price they charge is shameful.

My fiancé’ and I just received our Wedding Invitaitions from JRC Print and they are just gorgeous!!! I was referred to this company by a girlfriend of mine that had her invitations done here. We had the pleasure of being helped by Larre Schlarmann who was so easy and wonderful to work with. I told him the things we wanted/​needed in an invitation and he created AND designed the most unique invitation I have ever seen, and SO happy to say that it is ours! It has 5 tiers and layed out perfectly on classy linen card stock. He even made us smaller return RSVP cards for our guests to send back and announcements to send after the wedding to the family we unfortunately couldn’t invite. It was really nice to be able to do everything over email because I am not so close to their location and so busy with planning the wedding, work, etc. that email and Larre made my life so much easier! I really love that fact that he sends you proofs until you are satisfied! :) He took the order and completed it within less than a week (I’m sure it would have been sooner but I was finalizing details for the invitation). Safe to say, we cannot wait to send these out to our friends and family and will definitely be using JRC Print again! Thank you so much again Larre for your fabulous work and making our wedding that much more special and unique!!! Definitely and very highly reccommend this place!

It was my first time using JRC printing today and I have to say it was one wonderful experience.
I called larre to see how much they charged for printing baby shower invites an he was very helpful over the phone an cheaper than everywhere else.
He told me to email him what I wanted an he had a sample of each card when I walked in. Most places take forever even days to print invites but he was able to print out 100 invitations as well as 100 diaper raffle tickets in less then ¹⁰⁄₁₅ mins.
They came out perfect! Larre did an amazing job, the color on the invites an raffle tickets were bright an just what I wanted! He even cut the raffle tickets to save me time at home an had envelopes ready to fit the size of my invites.
I will definitely be using them again for future birthday invites an other printing needs.

This is the second round of business cards I pick up from these guys for my welding business. Larry and Sean were extremely helpful and informative. I brought them my logo and Sean helped me design the rest of my card and I was stoked with the Results! Communication was great and the prices are great. I will continue to recommend them!

Contacted the owner Larre Schlarmann. Must have called him on a bad day. I got all kinds of off the wall accusations and strong language from him. When I tried to explain myself, I got more accusations about being rude. (Rude? I was not the one cussing up a storm) In the end, he made a few more rude comments and hung up on me. Had we been standing before a judge in any court of law, he would have had to post bail for contempt of court. I do not think I would deal with Mr. Schlarmann in the future for any other planned events. To be fair, I have heard that the staff are exemplary and a pleasure to deal with.

i called jrc print last week to get an estimate and the owner, larre was very impatient and rude over the phone. I just assumed he was busy or was having a bad day but wanted to get an estimate on printing wedding invitations and rsvp cards. He gave me a quote (that was on the higher side– but assumed quality and efficiency was going to be excellent) but i had asked him to give me his thoughts on different stock options. He said he would email me and never followed through, instead wrote me an email with higher pricing. Following up from that email, he wrote me again saying he found his notes and that the price he had quoted me on the phone would be the price he would give me. So I went to him to see a test print and placed my order. To my surprise, he got done with the prints a lot faster BUT THEY WERE SO SLOPPY. He was going to charge me $ 2 per each invitation card just for print, and the ends were cut with etch marks, and the card was not proportioned. The pdf i sent him had crop marks with bleed but they were all cut diagonally and the ends with flaking off. When i addressed this to him POLITELY in person, he lost his temper and told me «forget it» and threw my invoice in the trash. It pissed him off that I was addressing some cards to be reprinted due to his mistake!
WORST customer experience ever. I told him, not to be so upset and that I would just like some prints to be reprinted since they weren’t to the quality they should be,… and instead he told me to get out and that he didn’t want to do business with me. I am still shocked at his manner and service. If he wants to treat his customers this way– he shouldn’t run a business. I will never recommend this place to anyone. AWFUL!

These guys are amazing. My files are always printed on time and with quality.
I highly recommend them.

I came in to ask about getting a guest list created for our seating chart for my wedding. Larre was a great help and his knowledge of printing and design practically designed the whole thing. All the staff was extremely friendly and the promptness in returning emails and phone calls made it a pleasure to work with them. The Guest list was amazing and everyone loved it. Thanks again Jrc

I had such a great experience here! I first went to Staples up the street to get some programs printed for my wedding. After about an hour, the girl was still unable to to help me with what I needed. I decided to try JRC because it was right down the street. From the minute I got in there I knew the guy there would be able to help. Shawn helped me though design and making sure the ink color was perfectly matched to my wedding colors. I am so happy with the outcome! The programs are PERFECT! Even though I live in Mira Mesa, I will be headed out to Poway for anything I need copied/​printed. I will be back to do wedding menus soon. Thank you Shawn!

I work with Anthony about twice to three times a month and he has always gone above and beyond to make sure the proof is correct before printing, always gets the job accomplished on time and most of the time early, the final product is always awesome and he has NEVER let me down. I would also recommend taking his advice as he is a professional. There has been several jobs where I let him put his own personal printing touches on them without forcing my opinions on him and those jobs always come out better then I ever could have come up with myself. I do not post many Unilocal reviews but thought this is one company and individual that definitely deserves it. Thank you for everything you do Anthony and keep the good work coming. I have worked in the marketing industry for 15 years and have always struggled to find good printing companies with good service and reasonable rates. I have to say that I have been impressed with JRC. The service is amazing, and their prices are fantastic. They are my ‘go-​to’ printer for every printing need we have. Business cards, signage, stickers, you name it, they are fantastic. Quality people and great product!

Excellent fast service by Anthony. Pricing is very competitive. Beat Office Depot by 25% even with a coupon. I really like that it is a small business not just another customer in a big corporation.

I have been doing business with Bob and Anthony for over 10 years. They print my business cards, letterhead, envelopes, brochures and newsletter. They always do a great job and really care about providing excellent service. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.
