My daughter and I go here often and it’s never a bad experience. The ladies are nice, professional and very reasonable prices. Mindy is our favorite for nails.

Had a great experience. Hubby and I went in for pedicures. I had Lee. She was very kind and sweet. Did a wonderful job. The salon is clean, fresh colors, appealing. Pricing is very fair. The customers all seemed content and friendly as well. Will absolutely try again.

I’ve been a «regular» here for three years. Vivian does an outstanding job on my fingers and Lynn not only does a wonderful job on my toes, she gives THE BEST foot massages and I HATE my feet being touched! I’ve been married for nearly 40 years and I won’t even let my husband touch my feet, but Lynn can touch them all she wants.
For someone who goes through life feeling like I’m no one special, Vivian, Lynn and Mindy make me feel like I’m queen of the world. I have the best, most relaxing experience every two weeks at fancy nails. Sometimes I pick the color, sometimes they pick the color. Whichever way it goes, I’m ALWAYS happy with the work, service and price.
Hey, I’m not kidding, if you want the best time and really «fancy nails», go see Vivian, Lynn and Mindy at fancy nails in Poway. You’ll feel like a princess, hey you can’t be the queen, ’cause I am!!!

I have tried this place more than once expecting it to be better. They almost always quick me with the drill or drill to the point it hurts. They also have a timer that supposedly should be how long a specific option to take. To say they are rushed is an understatement these women don’t take their time for anything. I have made an appointment twice and had to wait and had them leave during my manicure to start another customer or help someone else. If you get acrylics go somewhere else, after less than 24 hours at least 4 of my nails have lifting. I am on vacation and not doing anything rough to cause the lifting (which I’ve never had happen elsewhere). Also double check what they will charge you, what was on the board and what i got charged for a fill was different. But after 1 hour in the salon for a fill I was ready to go, not argue about the price.

I am always asking for new fun designs on my nails. Fancy Nails always comes through for me!
I’m about to take a trip to Maui so I asked for Hawaiian nails and Mindy did a great job!

Been going there for 10 years now and I have never felt disappointed in any way. I love their work and I feel like the honored guest every time I get any service done with them whether it’s my nails, toes, eyebrows or anything. I’ll probably never stop going to them even if I move, love them!

I came here yesterday for pedicure and manicure. Small shop but they don’t know much English. The lady did the nail for me. She didn’t know English, she did the way she want. My nail was very bumpy and the shape was not the same shape !!!

Got my nails done about a weeks ago, and one’s already snapped off.
The woman wouldn’t give me round ones even though I asked for them.
Not a content customer. Wouldn’t recommend.

I love Fancy Nails! I have been going here for many years, and Mindy is terrific with my acrylics. She listens to my requests and has always been able to accommodate my changing mind! I have also always enjoyed my pedicures — everyone is friendly and helpful. My daughter now goes to college out of state and the first thing she always wants to do when home on break is go to Fancy Nails. I feel fortunate to have this quality shop here in town, and highly recommend all services offered.

Honestly I have been coming to fancy nails for over 2 years and I have no idea why I haven’t written a review sooner? These gals are amazing! Always friendly and welcoming! I have an embarrassing sweaty hand problem and having to shake someone’s hand is like the hardest thing ever for me, yet Mindy Vivian and Lisa, who usually work on me, never seem to be bothered by it! I feel so comfortable and well taken care of by these ladies! Not to mention the great conversation! We are always laughing! It really makes the experience that much better! I’ve been in other salons where no one even makes eye contact with you! Like hello??? But not these women. I’ve really grown to appreciate and care for these ladies and I know they feel the same about me! Always asking how I’m doing and we are quick to pick right back up where we left off! I believe in having a great experience when you’re getting pampered, duh! Lol. And if that is what you are looking for then this is the place! Not to mention they do fabulous work!

So the last few times my daughter and I have been here have been extremely disappointing. We showed up as walk in’s and no one else was waiting. We were set up immediately to get a pedicure and mani for myself and a full set for her. 5 mins into my pedicure another mother/​daughter came in and another woman with an appointment showed up for the technician that was already starting my daughter’s nails. Suddenly they were rushing through our services. My nails looked horrible and my daughter had to go back and ask the girl to fix her nails because they were just so thick underneath and uou could even see all the scratches from the nail file on her nails. She also asked for white tips but they put a pink top coat over them which looked weird over the white. I work in a salon and understand having to or wanting to take as many people as possible to make money. However I work hard for mine and will not be spending it here again. Such a disappointment because they actually used to do a good job. Sorry, I gave you guys three chances. I think these girls are just overworked and it’s showing in their services.

Got my nails done today, just plain white tip acrylics. They used pink acrylic over the white tips, which made the white light pink. Also after drying there’s obvious ridges from the drummel. They left tons of acrylic under my nails but I told Vivian, and she fixed. Both girls who did my nails, Vivian and Mindy, we’re not friendly and barely spoke the entire time. Will not be going back, at least without an appointment. Even then I’m not sure that they would put the effort into my nails, and not rush.

I love this place! They can always fit me in, they’re super friendly and my pedicure lasts forever. I really like Lynn. She’s very sweet, efficient and does a great job! This place is also open on Sunday’s which is very convenient.

Great spot in poway! Vivian is super nice and takes good care of you. She typically will do nails and someone else will do the pedicure (I usually get Lynn). Mindy is hilarious and is always welcoming. They are a little short staffed right now so you just have to be patient but I don’t have any complaints! Also, if you are ever interested in eyelash extensions then Mindy will make them look natural and it’s totally worth it:) overall, my gels last and don’t get chipped and everyone there does a good job.

First of all: Vivian! She is so precise, so focused on getting every detail right, not a speck of polish anywhere but directly on my nails. cuticles nice and clean, skin around nails nice and clean, just pretty colors on. the. nails! (I make an issue out of this because not everyone sees this as important, in other salons I’ve patronized. She’s very pleasant — as are the other ladies, don’t get me wrong! — but I was assigned to her my first trip in, and why tamper with success? Also — and this is important too — Vivian’s gels LAST. I go in every two to three weeks only because my nails have grown out, not because there is any significant chipping. An excellent experience and a lovely professional. I had been here twice before but it didn’t really standout to me at first. The 3^rd time I went I actually had a bad experience. So I wrote about it in a super negative (but honest) Unilocal review. Just like any other unsatisfied customer, I was pissed because I felt like I had just lost my hard earned money and so I wrote about it in my review.
A few days later I was surprised to find a message in my inbox on Unilocal.I didn’t even realize you could send and receive messages on Unilocal.Anyhow, Fancy Nails manager Mindy had contacted me to apologize for my experience. She never questioned me or challenged me on anything negative that I had said — she took my words at face value and told me that she wanted to make things right.
I was a little weary about going back to a place that I thought had really jipped me & my bf on customer service, but I decided to give them another chance because I really didn’t have much to lose. The manager herself told me that she would do my nails this time and she would do anything I wanted for free. She took her time and set me up with some really fantastic acrylic tips. If you look at my pictures you can see what my nails looked like.
Since that one bad experience and then the follow up good experience I have come back here on a biweekly basis to get my nails done. I’m generally not a regular at any place (because I like to have variety of my life) but Mindy (the manager) really won me over with her exceptional dedication to making sure her customers leave satisfied and happy.

Love this place, ladies are nice and they do amazing work at amazing prices! They always take walk in and a great with kids as well. .the best place around!

Dirty… I got a pedicure and shellac manicure and the woman put the cuticle nippers that she used on me back in the same «clean implement» container without disinfecting them… Add that with the fact the girl doing my nails seemed to be a complete moron who cut the hell out of my finger, and they charge way too much for such crappy service in a dirty salon and use unsanitary equipment I think it’s safe to say this place should be avoided!

$ 10 in and out for an eyebrow wax– no complaints here! It can get pretty busy but they are pretty good about getting you worked in while nails are drying, etc. There is a 50 cent charge for all credit card transactions so bring cash!
