Eagle Paving

We hired Eagle to pave our driveway. A few weeks later it started to break off. They came to check it and agreed that it had been poorly done so they came back to fix it. They patched about 80% of the very small driveway and left it all full of patches that were very visible. When we complaint, they gave us a free coating (we paid for one and they did the second one for free). We were told that with the coating, we would not be able to see all the patches they did. Now it is a few weeks later and the patches are still visible. I don’t understand why if they had to patch 80% of the driveway, they didn’t just repave the whole thing. It would have probably taken less time, and would have resulted in a much better end product. Our driveway is not large and is now full of patches. Not happy.

Our HOA had Eagle repave our driveways in Mira Mesa. I could tell right away that the grading was not done right; because the pavement was sloped down towards the garage doors in about ¹⁄₃ of the 19 units. Eagle did a half assed mitigation effort of installing berms, which was completely inadequate because the first heavy rain flooded many of the garages. The berm in front of my garage is not as tall as the crown of the pavement, so water flows right over it when the rain is heavy. Not only that, but they did not comply with the statement of work which was cited in the contract and specified sloping down away from the garages. Now they are unresponsive to our request to fix the damage they have done. We did not have significant garage flooding before they paved our driveways. Wish I could give zero stars.

I had James come out to my community to reseal all of our streets and repaint all of our red «No Parking Zone» curbing. Eagle Paving did an outstanding job. I will use them again.

We are an 11 member HOA in Bonita. Our Board chose Eagle Paving over two other paving contractors and we made the right choice. This is the third time we have had our private street redone in our HOA history and it was by far the best job. Eagle’s team was professional, efficient and we had limited down time as it shut down our entire street. All of the feedback from our homeowners was, «use Eagle next time we are ready». Best price as well.

My new neighbor needed to add a driveway easement for a hard to negotiate entrance. The Eagle Paving team came out and did an amazing job. My husband went over to watch and almost jokingly asked the guys if there were anyway that they could help him with the lip of our driveway. As you entered or exited the bumpers scraped due to a high angle. They chatted for a while and he then went to the store. When he got home, he found that they had smoothed out the entrance – AT NO CHARGE – with the leftover pavement from our neighbor’s job. NO MORE SCRAPING! THAT is what I call excellent customer service. I have told anyone that will listen about these guys and showed pics of my neighbor’s and my driveway. These guys are awesome!!! I really wish that I had a paving need because I would call them immediately!

Eagle Paving re-​did our old driveway and entrance to our new winery. They were very professional and the driveway looks awesome. One little spot did not settle well… I called, and they were out the next day and fixed it. Looks great and their back office worked with me on a payment plan when we added another section. One of the best contractor type companies that I’ve ever worked with. Highly recommend them!

What a great team to watch work. They fixed some work at Convoy and Balboa. I would recommend them for any job. I manage a good group of guys but after seeing the teamwork that displayed I think we could improve

I am a commercial property manager in San Diego, CA. In 2012 after obtaining 3 – 4 bids at two different properties across the county, Eagle Paving was awarded both jobs.
The first involved 10,764 SF of skin patch, 4,158 SF of cold mill and 2″ overlay, 184,614 SF of seal coating, restriping of all parking stalls, and re-​painting of all painted curbs. The second involved 7,967 SF of cold mill and 1.5 –2″ overlay, 145,561 SF of seal coating, restriping of all parking stalls, and re-​painting of all painted curbs. Both jobs were performed 5 months apart from each other.
Eagle Paving was excellent to work with on both occasions. Their bids were wonderfully detailed, setting the standard for comparison among all bids obtained. Once awarded the job they arranged an on site meeting to strategize; in one case they personally met with the tenants to inform them of the upcoming work. They provided maps of the areas that would be worked on and dates of the work in each area. As the work progressed they called me with updates if they ran into any difficulties, and even extended their patching in certain areas if it was needed. The second job had a few delays due to weather and they kept me informed as they quickly re-​strategized the job. We had a few cars remain at one property (despite numerous notices) which prevented Eagle Paving from finishing all parking stall striping and they gladly returned the following week to complete the job at no additional cost.
To add to these two wonderful experiences, the account rep I had been working with notified me in advance when Eagle Paving was scheduled to do work in the vicinity of a third property I manage, and as a result they were able to take care of removing a few trip hazards at that third property at a very reasonable cost.
I highly recommend Eagle Paving for concrete and asphalt work jobs of any size. They are very professional, organized (they do not drop the ball), and go the extra distance to ensure that each job goes smoothly.
