Albano is wonderful, no, great! They have a great selection of the higher end brands, but more importantly, you get service. From the time I ordered my washer, until it was delivered and installed, the experience was«white glove». Are you going to pay a bit more than going to a «big box retailer»? Yes. But having experienced delivery from a «big box» and then service and delivery from Albano, there is no comparison. Plus they are a local business. All of the staff is great, they have my business for life.

4÷9÷14 Albano Appliances My wife and I decided to completely re do our kitchen, earlier this year. Being a Pound Ridge, NY resident for 30 years, we already knew about Albano Appliance as they have a great service department. We’ve used them for years whenever an appliance broke down. Occasionally we would buy a washer or a dryer from them, as well. This time, because putting a new kitchen in, buying all new high –end appliances can be expensive, I told my wife we should shop around more than we normally do. Let’ get pricing, ideas, then go to Albano last. We went to several appliance stores in the area from White Plains, to Mount Kisco, to Somers, Stamford, CT and finally to Norwalk Ct. Let me say, I was truly shocked at the lack of professionalism and service in these other stores ! The sales people do not offer you ideas or suggestions as to the best appliance for your needs, instead they try to sell you products that I got the distinct impression, they made more mark up on! After about a half hours time, if they do not get the sense you are ready to buy something NOW, they simply walk away and find another customer ! Very annoying and unprofessional in my opinion. This happened in everyone of those other stores. We went back again to all of the other stores the next weekend, this time we kind of knew what we were looking for. We asked for pricing in writing. Surprisingly, many stores will not do that. They try to get you to buy the product right now. Much like a car dealer. If you persist, they will eventually give you pricing in writing. We finally got pricing from a few and left. We then went to Albano Appliance and let me say, it was a world of difference ! The sales people truly try to help you and educate you, in terms of what is best for your needs. We spent over an hour and half in the store and I never felt rushed or pushed(although the store was quite busy). They answered all our questions with patience and integrity. When it came time to get a price quote, they put it in writing, right on the spot. No waiting. I asked for 15 minutes, went to our car and pulled out the other quotes. Albano came in with not the cheapest quote, but right in the middle in terms of price. Frankly, we spent over $ 38,000 on appliances and the difference was very minimal between the Albano price and the lowest price quote we received from others! The thing that separates Albano though, is that they service everything they sell. Most, if not all of the other stores do not service what they sell instead they give you a phone number to call. I was very impressed with the results after buying as well. Their installation department is top notch. Everything fit in place well and was received in great condition. If you are looking for new appliances or doing your kitchen over, I truly recommend Albano Appliance as a store with an impeccable reputation and integrity. You will not be disappointed. I am sad to say that this«neighborhood fixture» is not one which I would recommend. I purchased my very pricey Gaggineau Fridge, Gaggineau Freezer, 2 Mile’ Dishwashers, Perrlick wine cooler, AGA wine coolers, Washers, Dryers, range hood fan, and had them service a $ 16,000 oven. I shopped with them because I love my town and they are a local venue. They do host some interesting events and are involved in not-for-profit work– so I paid retail just to support them. Despite this loyalty on my part-the customer service I received was– for the most part extraordinarily unpleasant. Some reps were very kind and professional. But some were abrupt, condescending and unprofessional. It would take up to a week to get return phone calls/emails and deliveries were usually late. But perhaps most importantly — after several unsuccessful expensive service appointments on my oven — they left me with a dangerous gas appliance which THEYSAIDWASSAFE when– in fact it could have exploded in my house. I had to hire another company just to figure out what the heck was going on-It was in fact leaking gas– and Albano service reps could not find that.

Horrible attitude. Albano’s is the closest high-end appliance store to where I live. I need a new fridge so I went to Albano’s. Turns out every store has the same price on Sub-Zero fridges… that’s a Sub-Zero thing. When it came to delivery and install, dealers are free to charge anything they want. Albano’s qouted me $ 3500 for the delivery and install!!! Admittedly, my delivery was not straight-forward. The house is built into a hill, the kitchen is downstairs from the driveway and the only way to get there is around the outside of the house. Nevertheless, $ 3500 is absurd… they told me it would take 4 guys all day. I went to the next closest appliance store(in Norwalk, CT) and got the same fridge at the same price but delivery and install was $ 369…$ 50 for delivery, $ 40 to take away the old fridge and $ 279 for the install.(It took 3 guys 2 ½ hours to deliver and install everything.) I didn’t trick them into anything… I told them about the complexity and they said, we will send our guy to check… if he can do it, delivery is $ 50. Love the can do attitude at the other place. So the bottom line is buyer beware. Outrageous delivery and install prices is a nice way to jack up your margins. I for one will never go back to Albano’s.

Excellent customer service! Albano’s is the place to go when you are in need of a high-end appliance. The best part? The cooking classes offered with Executive Chef Jehan are an amazing experience, one that any single or couple should attend.
