History

Established in 2003.

Native Root Designs has been providing high quality, detail oriented garden maintenance, design and installation services since 2003. With a degree in horticulture and passion for design, Gregory Smaus CPH, owner, approaches every site with a confident and clear vision. Native Root Designs is has been active in the business community through memberships in Washington Association of Landscape Professionals and Washington State Nursery and Landscape Association (where we designed an award winning garden for the Northwest Flower and Garden Show in 2012). Gregory Smaus CPH, has been a certified professional horticulturist (CPH) since 2010 and on the board of the Washington State Nursery and Landscape Association since 2011.

Business Owner

I am a professional gardener. Business owner of a small garden and landscape company in the Pacific Northwest. I work on our garden with my family in Seattle. I love to garden and constantly work from a design perspective. Natural design, sustainable practices, old world technology meets modern functionality.

I am a certified as a horticulture professional (CPH) by the Washington State Nursery and Landscape Association, where I’ve been a member for over two years. Prior to starting Native Root Designs in 2003 I had been employed in the horticulture field since 1996. We are a five star certified Envirostar company in King county WA.
