my experience with spectrum has been (like the experiences of many others, apparently!) truly awful. I won’t get into the rigmarole of it all, but suffice it to say their staff is incompetent, uncaring, and probably way too overextended. one time I went in for an appointment and I’m pretty sure someone’s preteen daughter was working the front desk…

The first therapist I was given was awful to work with. He self described his behavior as «rude». I told him it felt mean. He spoke badly to me, even after I asked him to speak nicely, but he refused. I walked out on the session. Something I never did before. I explained clearly to the office manager the skills I needed in a therapist, and the 2nd therapist they assigned to me did not have these skills. They recommended a group that it turns out is for people who have issues unrelated to mine. This place is, at best, unresponsive to patient needs.
