History
Established in 2004.
Year-round, we now sell Benny & Caesar’s quality homemade ice cream and Italian ices in the Poughkeepsie Galleria. You can also find Benny & Caesar’s at various local fairs and farmers markets throughout Hudson Valley.

Ever since I worked at an ice cream shop as a teenager, I have wanted to be in the business. So, in 2004, with my brother-in-law I purchased an ice cream truck. We named our new company Benny & Caesar’s Ice Cream LLC, after our two families’ Bichon Frise dogs.
Shortly thereafter, I took a course on ice-cream making at Penn State University. In 2008, I officially realized my dream of concocting my own homemade ice cream. Using bona fide vanilla extract and peppermint oil, and fresh fruit, I also hand-pack each 5-gallon batch of Benny & Caesar’s ice cream – all from my home in New York’s bucolic Hudson Valley area (about 90 miles north of Manhattan).
