I saw Dr. Phillips in November of 2015. She was very thorough and explained every step and exam. She gave me options as to what vision aids would help me the most and in what way. Very helpful and friendly, as was the entire staff that I encountered. A great visit all around, and I would highly recommend them.

I’ve been going to Dr. Phillips for over 3 years and have had a great experience at West Hills. You get a very personalized experience and the staff is very knowledgeable and welcoming. The office is small but they still have a decent selection of high end glasses frames, which is a huge plus so you don’t have to go to a different store. I would highly recommend Dr. Phillips to anyone living in the area!

I came here about a year ago, and the customer service I had then was great. I’ve come in here for eyeglasses adjustments every now and then for no charge and they have always been nice. Today I brought my fiancée here to get his eyes checked and maybe get fitted for contact lens, Sofia (who works here) is on vacation, just popped in here to maybe grab something (we’ve all done that) and is now helping him learn how to put in contacts and taking her time to make him feel comfortable about the whole thing. That to me, is above and beyond the call of work, especially when you happened to just be passing by. Definitely recommend to anyone and everyone.

This was my first visit to West Hills Vision Care. I will definitely be back. Dr. Rao was very knowledgeable and gave a lot of great recommendations for my eyes. She also, cut down my prescription strength because the last eye doctor I went to had give me a slightly too strong prescription. I have to say, I really notice the difference in how my eyes feel. She had great «bed-​side» manor, and my eye exam was less expensive than anywhere else I have ever been. Thank you so much!

The office was a convenient location for me, and I had a pleasant experience during my visits there. Dr. «Row» was very warm and friendly, and answered all my questions clearly and in a way in which I did not feel rushed or bad for asking them (and being the curious person I am, I can sometimes ask a lot of questions!).

Dr Phillips puts a lot of effort into making sure my contacts are exactly right. She is personable and a delight to work with. The office hours are friendly for working parents.

My company’s insurance changed in 2014, which caused me to look for a new eye doctor. I found a good one in Dr Phillips. She has a depth of knowledge that I have not seen in my previous Dr’s. She solved a lingering allergy problem in my contact lenses. She upgraded my multi-​focal lens. And she did a great job explaining her rationale for the changes.

I have struggled with an astigmatism nearly all my life. From Doctor after Doctor, exam after exam, each one prescribed me the same thing — reading glasses. However, I would get intense migraine headaches from wearing them and leave them in their case from that point on, all while still struggling with my eyesight.
All that changed when I was introduced to Dr. Phillips and her staff at West Hills Vision. She was able to diagnose a problem I had in addition to my astigmatism that made standard prescriptions unbearable. She provided me with a solution to help me immediately, along with a course of action to ensure that my condition did not get worse.
I now have ZERO issues with headaches while reading & working at the computer any longer, and have the utmost confidence in my Optometrist.
In addition to Dr. Phillips expertise, I have had a tremendous experience with all their staff from the start of the process to the end. Friendly, courteous and flexible every time. I wholeheartedly recommend West Hills Vision Care.

I couldn’t be more valued and well taken care of at West Hills Vision Care. Recently had a sports accident on my right eye and decided to chat with Dr. Phillips about it the following day. The receptionist did find a slot for me after the next appointment (same day) and was given a thorough examination.
This is my second review and couldn’t be happier recommending her to family and friends. I expressed my regards to Dr. Phillips how appreciated I felt. Seriously impressed. My wife had a rather traumatic tennis injury with her eye and living near by, this happened to be the most convenient.
The problem was it was 4pm on a Friday and Dr. Phillips had already left for the evening and the shop was closing up.
I explain the situation to their office staff and they said they call the doctor at home and see if she could come back in and if not, would give me a referral.
Within five minutes of my initial call Dr. Phillips called me back personally inquired about the injury and then said she would meet me back at the office in 15 minutes!
Unbelievable customer service and professionalism and can’t recommend them enough. Patients for life. Thank you Dr. Phillips and your amazing staff.

After the obamacare ins. overhaul I ended up with new vision insurance. I figured it would be the perfect time to switch to a new Doc.
Dr. Phillps and the team at West Hills Vision Care were all awesome! They got me an apointment quickly, responded to all of my insurance and cost related coverage questions and got me a quick comprehensive eye exam.
Dr. Phillips was very thorough, and went over several different options and ideas that would suit me as a new client. I feel like she is very trustworthy and cares a lot about her patients. I read over Dr. Phillips website and saw that she was highly qualified in her field and earned top honors while going through schooling. That definitely put me at ease.

I picked this office strictly on it being a convenient location. I had my first eye exam in four years at WHVC with Dr. Phillips. I had LASIK over 10 years ago and felt my vision might have been slipping as it was getting harder to read road signs. Dr. Phillips listened to my history and concerns and gave me a thorough exam. I got a RX for glasses and placed an order. The front desk crew are very friendly and were a tremendous help giving me feedback on frames and fit.
I was excited to pick up my glasses, but upon putting them on, I was concerned that they were too strong. I was advised to give them a try for a week and use them while driving (driving was the only time I planned on using them). They said to bring them back if I can’t adjust. I did what they advised and just found I couldn’t adapt to them. When I returned, they made me an appointment for the next day to have my eyes rechecked. Dr. Phillips did all the tests again and got the same results as before. She explained that we were dealing with some tricky astigmatisms but wouldn’t give up. We took trial lenses out into the waiting room and I had the opportunity to give them a try viewing the real world outside. We found the best solution and glasses are being reordered without cost to me.
I am looking forward to getting the revised pair, but more importantly am impressed and relieved they took the time to find the solution. I felt bad about being a «problem» and they put me at ease and assured me that it was not an issue at all. Their time, effort, and care they put into my case was fantastic customer service. Great overall experience.

I really should have reviewed West Hills Vision last year when I had an eye emergency, so I’ll try to make up for it now. I’ve been to maybe a dozen optometrists in my contact wearing life (over 20 years) and Dr. Phillips is the best I’ve had.
I was experiencing steadily worsening cloudiness in one eye and went in fear to my appointment to see if my right eye was degrading because of a serious or passing problem. I not only found a doctor who explained what the problem was (corneal microsysts), I was also provided lots of details on what my diagnosis meant. I was put on a treatment program immediately and the doctor was forthright that if things didn’t improve within a few days I would be referred to a cornea specialist. I always want to have things explained rather than just be told to do things «because the doctor said,» and Dr. Phillips absolutely delivers. Over the course of my treatment my condition steadily improved and I was able to avoid the specialist.
Though doctor visits are by far NOT my favorite way to spend an hour, I don’t dread my next appointment which is a very big deal.
