Tidee-Didee Diaper Service

Oh man new Portland parents, don’t be dismayed by some of the reviews below. The team behind Tidee Didee is just fantastic and we absolutely loved their service for the nearly two years that we used it.
First off, you can sign up before your little one is born and then call to update on delivery time so your first delivery is ready and waiting. Go on vacation? Travel to see Grandma and Grandpa? No dramas. Just call within 24-​hours of your scheduled delivery and put it on hold for as many weeks as necessary. But you won’t want that week of soiled diapers just sitting, so you can easily schedule a pick-​up only.
I do agree that the counting system wasn’t always perfect. But anytime anything was off (and I happened to notice, which wasn’t often because who has time for that?) they fixed the discrepancy right away, no questions asked. No weird charges, no arguing over lost diapers, just happiness all around.
When our little guy started using the potty (p.s. this happens 18-​months [YES, 18-​MONTHS] earlier on average when using cloth diapers vs. disposable) we were able to switch over to their training pants instead of the diaper cloths. And a few weeks in those guys sealed the potty training deal for us.
The only reason we stopped the service is because it worked so well. Our little guy isn’t two for another month, but already potty trained. Win/​win for all involved.

I was at first opposed to cloth diapers, when my wife suggested them. I thought they would be messy, stinky and a hassle. Tidee Didee has made it easy for us. They pick up the soiled diapers every week, and deliver clean fresh ones in their place!
I would recommend getting the diaper pail that they sell, it fits about a weeks worth of diapers for our child and has a slot for the odor control disc.

This place is great! The price is fair and the people who work there are very helpful. The pick up and delivery time frame is awesome, and always no more than thirty minutes! I highly recommend!

Tidee Didee is awesome. I knew I wanted to cloth diaper but I also knew it would be really hard to commit to all of the work involved in laundering at home. I stopped in to visit the store to learn more about the process and they were super helpful. I decided to sign up to give it a try, they made it really easy with delivering one weeks worth of diapers ahead of my due date and then allowing me to call in once the baby was here to start the service. They have always been professional, courteous and followed through with what they said they would do. I have called in on multiple occasions to deal with new sizes, decreasing our weekly usage, stoping service for vacations and every time they have been totally on top of it. I have not yet stopped my service so I can’t provide testimony to the subject of «missing diaper charges» but what I can tell you is this: I have been using their service for a year, I don’t have time to count diapers and I am sure a few have gone missing. So if I get charged for a few in the end I won’t be surprised or upset. I did in fact have an entire bag of clean diapers stolen off my front porch and they were kind enough to not charge me for them and helped me figure out a better/​more secure spot to leave them for their driver.

Tidee Didee makes cloth diapering a breeze for parents who are doing plenty of laundry already! We have had their service for a year now and are very happy with it.
The diaper counting system is not perfect, but they have been very helpful whenever we have had any problems or questions. It seems like Unilocalers are either very happy, or very nit-​picky. I am not a perfectionist, so I don’t expect perfection.
Tidee Didee does a great job and I really really appreciate door to door service! I have no complaints about the product or the service.

The review below mine from Jason I am assuming is coming someone still using their service. The company does seem fine when you are using them but when you cancel, that is usually when you get the bill for the «missing» diapers. I saw the reviews on here before using their service, got it as a baby shower gift and was a bit worried I would be charged in the end. I made it a point to really keep track of diapers so I didn’t miss giving any back each week.
I had two gift certificates for service, I got a bill for a months worth of diapers, which should have been covered with gift certificate #2 and when I called to ask about it, the person on the phone was short with me. She said I didn’t owe anything but that it was standard to send a bill out. I didn’t receive a bill for the 5 weeks prior, so this seemed odd to me. I made sure to cancel in time so I didn’t get charged for any extra weeks.
I left the diapers out front and got a bill for about the same amount that was sent to me the week prior for the month of service, only now saying I was missing 23 diapers. I think I would know if I had 23 extra diapers laying around here!
It feels like a scam to me, there is no way for you to prove you didn’t take the diapers and I don’t know what kind of system they have to count diapers in the first place, but it seems it doesn’t work since I have read many reviews saying they were shorted diapers and/​or charged for missing diapers. I plan to argue it out, since I don’t want to pay $ 46. I am hoping they work with me but it seems like this is an ongoing problem.

Decent service over the years, but when I went to finally cancel the service the lady on the phone was unpleasant and charged a bogus extra fee of 1 week. She couldn’t care less that I had been a paying customer for two years.
Would consider other options next time.

We have used Tidee-​Didee for the last 17 months with our daughter. We have really enjoyed their service. Their system is just like any professional linen company, so you get a specific amount each week. There have been many complaints on here for their customer service, and I can honestly say in the 17 months I have been with them, there have been 0 problems with that. We even had a diaper cover that wore out that we bought from them, and they exchanged it no problems. They just put a new one on our delivery, and I gave them the bad one (I didn’t even have to leave my house!). Their prices are competitive, and when priced out, are about equal to buying diapers at Costco. Yes… if you would like to save money, you can do it all yourself, but I enjoy paying someone to clean them for me! Thank you Tidee-​Didee!

Simply the worst customer service experience we’ve ever had.

On their website they had several sizes of diaper to choose from, when I signed up I went with the smallest size. A month or so went by and I was going through all 80 diapers each week, and half the time my baby girl was soaking all the way through them and leaking out into her clothes, this was partially because tidee didee continues to use inserts past the point in which they should be discarded (worn thin and the outer layer has holes on several of them). So I called to order the next size up and the woman on the phone tried talking me out of it telling me that people use the small ones for up to 20lbs. She agreed to give me 5 to try the following week.
After trying the larger ones I called back and told them that I would like to switch. Now I notice the diapers they are sending me vary in size, and are mismatched with different color of threading which is used to determine the size. For nearly $ 100 per month I expect better service than what they provide.

Preemie: Extra small, often good for twins or triplets
Newborn: For infants weighing 5 – 15 lbs.
Regular: For babies 15 – 35 lbs.
Toddler: For children 35 lbs. and over or when the regular just won’t do! Two extra layers for added absorbency.
Training Pants: Gerber 4-​ply, alone or in combination with diapers for nighttime protection.
They also sell «rags» which are the worn out inserts, about 30% of diapers they give each week should be already sold in that manner.

I am a fan of Tidee Didee. We used them from the time our girly was born until she was almost a year. Whenever I called I got helpful, courteous service. Their drivers were always on time. When I finally did end our service there, I had no trouble settling up with them. They are also super reasonably priced. Even once they washed our barfed on king sized comforter. I can’t remember how much they charged but I remember it was worth me not having to take a baby to the laundry mat.
Their retail store holds much more than they advertise. They sell several brands of diaper covers, as well as a natural disposable diaper and wipes. They also sell toys and baby furniture.
Tidee Didee made it easy for us to fall in love with cloth diapering and to support our local community,.

They are open and amazing! The diaper service is phenomenal! They use hypo allergenic detergent, the drivers are friendly, service is always on point and they are great communicators.
If cloth diapers are your choice and you don’t want to do the dirty work. I HIGHLY recommend using Tidee Didee. There are coupons available in Metro Parent and if you sign up for 12 weeks you get a free diaper wrap.

This place is a complete ripoff. They shortchanged me on my diaper delivery so I decided to cancel. The lady on the phone told me to put all remaining diapers in the blue bag and leave it for the driver to pick up. Two days after the pickup I get a bill from them charging me 40 bucks for 20 missing diapers. Seriously?
They shortchanged me the previous week by 29 diapers and now they say that 20 are missing. Now if I don’t pay the extortion fee of $ 40 they will send to collections. Under no circumstances should you do business with crooks like this. Don’t just take my word for it. Do your research and you will find out this is their M.O. when you cancel. Total scum. You’ve been forewarned.

Their business site on Unilocal says closed, but their store is very much open. Maybe it shouldn’t be.
I drove by today on my way home from the greatest pet shop ever and saw these cute little Harley Davidson rocking motorcycles in window. I had to stop and check them out and possibly buy one for my grand kids.
There were two customers at the counter when I walked in and a sales woman. We looked around a bit and after about 10 minutes the sales woman still had not acknowledged us. I thought the least she could have done was a courteous «I’ll be with you in a minute».
I considered walking out, but I really wanted one of those little motorcycles! We waited around for about 5 more minutes before she was finished with the prior customers. I looked at her. I just knew that now she would say «Hello», «Can I help you?», «What do you want?» or even «Get the heck out of my store!» Anything, anything at all would have been appreciated. She, instead, walked into the back room and was there for several minutes before coming out and asking us what we wanted.
I had a small art set ($ 9.99) in my hand. She looked at it and was less than thrilled at, what I can only assume, my small purchase. I then told her that I wanted one of the Harley’s and her complete attitude changed. I showed her which one I wanted and she said «You WANT the one that makes noise?»
If I wasn’t a Nana buying this for my grand kids I would have turned and left right then and there. Somehow the Nana mode took over and I said «Yes, the one with the noise». What the heck, it was going to my daughter’s house, not mine.
She became pretty friendly when she looked at the price tag and went into the back room and lugged one out for me. Then she decided to talk to me and exchange a few kind words. She rang me up and when I handed her my Harley debit card (hey, I have to get those Harley points) she made some joke about it.
There’s no need to write it but I guess I will since this is what Unilocal is about, we won’t be going back. So much for my five-​star reviews.
