Run! My two experiences with Dr McAdoo, the lead doctor of the Tigard Eye Care department inside CostCo, made me wish I could turn back time to erase every minute of interaction with her. I found her rude and condescending. It’s too bad she has a constant, steady stream of revenue by being inside CostCo, because she doesn’t ever have to change her behavior to garner patients. She was 25 minutes late for my appointment. Not once did she acknowledge that she was late, except to say that she didn’t have time to examine me for contacts. Since I haven’t worn contact lenses in years and the reason I was there was to make a correction to a prescription recently written up by Dr Loy, it was not a big deal. Except she said it like I was being reprimanded. I’m not the one who wrote up a prescription that isn’t working, I wasn’t the one who showed up late and I certainly don’t think she should go around treating patients the way she does. A couple months later, I was still having problems with the prescription — the problems had greatly diminished(and completely disappeared when not wearing the glasses), but they were still present. Instead of adjusting the prescription to correct the problem for the final time, she spoke to me like a child who had just washed her car with a Brillo pad. Apparently, I had just passed the date of unlimited visits and she was not going to make an exception. I would need another thorough exam and have to pay the full price! Why would I go through this tortuous experience again? Sheesh! For over a decade, I’ve been going to the doctors at the Costco by the airport and have NEVER had one single issue with them. Back to the COMPETENT optometrists at the Airport Costco, who are pleasant, cordial and professional.

I have been a patient of Dr. McAdoo for the last six years or more. I have been consistently impressed by the thoroughness of her exams and her memory of my concerns regarding my vision. I have found her to be completely friendly and gracious. I have referred her many times throughout the years with complete confidence.

I’ve gone to Dr. McAdoo for a few years now. Always treated with courtesy. I’m probably not the most compliant patient and have had multiple follow-up appts for contacts with no charge.

A great value… Dr. Mcadoo was my doctor and she couldn’t have been friendlier. There is no pressure at all to buy frames or anything like that. I went in and 30 minutes later I walked out with a free trial pair of contacts and a prescription in hand. I highly recommend this place. Exam was $ 85.

This Optometry practice is located inside the Tigard Costco — you don’t have to be a Costco member to come here. I’ve been planning on coming to an eye doctor for about… 2 years. so i finally did it and it was quick and easy experience. I’m on a budget of sorts so picking a place where i can get a quality exam and not pay too much was what i was after. This place offers regular contact exams(non astigmatism etc.) for $ 85 and that includes a glasses prescription. Glasses exams on their own are even less. This is a very reasonable price. Ms. Loy was my eye doctor and she did a great job.
