We believe in having a healthy environment where people can focus on their wellness, to grow and thrive. Through client relationships and our own community involvement, The Wellness Center aims to be a foundation for a healthy community.

At The Wellness Center we offer a broad range of services, specializing in providing holistic healthcare to members of the community who are injured as a result of:

Sports injuries, Motor Vehicle Accidents, Work related injuries, or those who suffer from chronic neck pain or low back pain.

At our clinic, we manage chronic nerve pain due to diabetic neuropathy, and/​or nerve entrapment.

We diagnose and treat athletes who suffer from sports related injuries and wish to continue their sports activities with a holistic approach through Chiropractic Treatments and Massage Therapy.

Dr. Gabriel attended Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida Campus, and graduated in 2011. Dr. Gabriel earned a certificate in electro diagnosis from the International Institute of electro diagnosis in 2010. He performs nerve conduction velocity studies, and electromyography to diagnosis patients with numbness/​tingling/​shooting pain in the arms or legs.

Dr. Gabriel practiced in Deltona and Daytona, Florida and later moved to the Pacific Northwest to start his own practice in the heart of Northeast Portland. His leadership ability has proven effective in both the civic and professional arenas, and contributed to the community both in establishing new health programs and expanding health awareness.

Along with all of the patients he treats, Dr. Mark Gabriel still goes out and helps the community. By building new relationships with local businesses, he attends schools, companies, street fairs and events to share his knowledge with others, and volunteers his time.

Based on reviews, I have been trying to schedule an appointment to see Dr Mark Gabriel since last Thursday. I filled out their online appointment request form, and I left 2 phone messages over the span of a few days. No one ever picks up the phone. They don’t return messages. I called this morning, and Mark actually picked up. He said he could see me but then put me on hold for the office manager to schedule my appointment. After waiting on hold for 15 minutes, I hung. I then tried calling several more times only to go to voice mail, b/​c they don’t pick up. I’m sure Mark is great, but the Wellness Center clearly needs new office staff. I just can’t imagine going through this every time I want to schedule an appointment. What gives, guys??? You going to call me back this time? Chris D. 348 0925.

RUN!!! They give out free appointments for good Unilocal reviews, who does that. The staff is the worst part. They where so rude and condescending. They should find a rock and go crawl underneath it. Do us all a favor. Treat others the way you wanna be treated you shitty front desk

I am so surprised by how unprofessional the staff was here! I arrived early for an appointment (which is pretty standard, I think) and no one was in the waiting room.
I waited over 10 minutes, and then because it was almost time for my appointment I called around to see if anyone was actually there. A man came out and rudely told me that they were in a staff meeting and I needed to wait. When I expressed my frustration, he and multiple staff members became defensive and almost angry.
I ended up leaving. They could have apologized or explained what was going on– but their first reaction to a patient who was frustrated was to be defensive and pretty rude. I find that very unprofessional and it’s totally inappropriate in a health care setting.

Really nice professional folks who are understanding and willing to work with you if you have a tough schedule. I never have to wait long and that’s a relief since I am receiving treatment there for an injury and need to come several times a week.
Dr.Gabriel is really kind and knowledgable and I have had a great experience in his care. I had never done acupuncture but he suggested I try it as well for my injury and I have to say the acupuncturist is amazing as well! I have seen her twice and she was amazing because she had lots of suggestions for what I can do at home to help heal myself and explained why cupping is beneficial and made extra sure I was comfortable during our sessions. I can as a person who was initially skeptical about getting pins in my limbs I have definitely benefited from her treatments.
Another thing I should mention is that the front desk person/​biller, Jace, is also amazing (I know, why would I mention that when I am there to see the chiropractoer?!) but here is why: She is super understanding and willing to take time with you to work out finances and in my case really went the extra mile.
I would recommend this place to anyone and I do!

Dr. Gabriel was great. I did have to wait over 30 minutes before I got seen, but he did apologize saying they were just switching from paper to a paperless system, which was understandable. He was thorough, caring, and committed to my well being. I am looking forward to more treatments. Also, got a massage from Rick, and he was awesome. Great deep tissue massage, way worth the $. I do recommend both. And I didn’t get a «free massage» for writing any review, and wasn’t asked to either. :)

I recomend this place highly! Dr Mark is very professional and friendly. Works with you to get to the source of the problem/​injury and on a path of healing and restoration.
There chiropractic, acupuncture, massage therapy and front desk staff are the best!

I would be wary of this place. First thing you see when you walk in is a sign that says, «Review us on Unilocal to win a free massage.» Businesses are not supposed to provide any compensation for customers writing reviews.
Because it skews the experience.
I did not have a 5 star experience. I went Dr Mark to check on my neck which was feeling funny. I have never explained my symptoms to a doctor and had them say, «That doesn’t sound good.» Thanks for the reassurance. I got more nervous as the exam went on and eventually left.
Chiropractic is one of those specialties where the doctor (and staff) need to extremely competent and reassuring. Sadly, that just wasn’t my experience.

Dr. Mark and team are kind, friendly, and professional. An excellent experience all around.
After years of chronic pain due to nerve damage from a car accident, I saw Dr. Mark for chiropractic adjustments. He helped me come up with a treatment program to strengthen my muscles and prevent flare ups, getting to the root of the problem.
I’m happy with the email reminders and scheduling, as well as new services such as weight management tips and massage therapy. The office also offers flexible payment options as well as insurance billing.
Dr. Mark is focused on healing and is always so accommodating. When I woke up not able to move my neck, he fit me in for an appointment within an hour.
He is a good egg! :)

Love them! They are very professional and caring. I abuse my body all summer doing bootcamp and they put me back together every week.Dr. Mark is super intuitive about what I need and gives me guidance, even when I don’t want to hear it (no running for 2 weeks!) Lauren is awesome, She fixed a thing in my neck and figured out why my shin was killing me (splint).

Wonderful service and very thorough and holistic care. The staff take the initiative to remember your name and go out of their way and above and beyond to make sure they help you recover and feel better. Must try coming here for chiropractic care!
